1 Year Of Beginning

Zhou Huan walked out of the door with Zhang Liang accompanying him. Shen Xia and Zhou Ling had already walked ahead. He looked at the man before him while contemplating.

"What is it?"

"I never expected that your wife could know someone from the Tian Family," Zhou Huan replied honestly.

The Zhou and Tian Family were not close to one another. The two of them didn't really have business together, so they usually stayed away from each other. Of course, they still met occasionally because of their status and the party that they attended in the past.

Zhang Liang sent a look at Zhou Huan. "They're classmates."

Zhang Liang sighed as he saw the man walking away. He looked into the room and noticed that Feng Mian had fallen asleep. Silently, he pulled her blanket and covered her properly. He wouldn't want her to catch a cold when she was staying in the hospital.

He took out his phone and made a call.

"Boss!"

"How's the investigation?" Zhang Liang cut directly into the point.

"There are a lot of things that we still need to find out, but it's going well so far, Boss. Also, there are some movements from your competitor, Boss. They will surely make a move soon."

Zhang Liang's lips curled up into a sneer. There was a piece of news from the capital city that Sweet M Company is making their move. They would introduce a new type of sweet that would surely make their name in the country and began to spread advertis.e.m.e.nts like wildfire.

Even though this was nearing June, which meant that there were not many events related to sweets, he knew that they just wanted to make their move sooner. Because he would be preoccupied with his safety, they knew that he wouldn't be able to make his move anytime soon.

Besides, his sweet was not ready yet. The result so far was unfavorable to him.

"Direct me to the general."

The one in the other line of the call was surprised. "Boss, you…"

"I need more people to protect me and my wife," Zhang Liang said simply. If they wanted to make their move soon, they should be prepared for his retaliation. Because of that, he wanted to make sure of his wife's safety first. Incidents like what happened recently should never happen again.

"Wait, let me direct the call. Boss, make sure that you coax the general into accepting your request. You know that he's not too happy having his people taken from him."

The call was connected and a familiar roar came out. "You again, Liang?"

"Hello, General. I need more people," Zhang Liang said simply.

The man with the title General g.r.o.a.n.e.d. "You already took some of them to protect your sister in law not long ago. How many this time and how long?"

Zhang Liang paused for a moment. "I need a team for at least 10 years."

The General nearly hung up directly when he heard what Zhang Liang said. "You! Are you insane?"

"I need a team to protect my wife."

"Hm?" Zhang Liang listened to the general as he cursed loudly. From within the words, he could hear that the general mentioned the name of the team, which was Wind Team.

His lips curled up. Back when he was serving in the military, he had heard about this team because it was known as one of the best teams. Their leader was only 27 years old by now, but he was already ranked as Major General. Without a doubt, he was one of the youngest military officers in this country.

At the same time, he knew that the Wind Team was one of the secret teams that the General formed years ago. He picked up a group of skilled soldiers and placed them to train harshly, doing dirty work that the government didn't want to get involved in. If their mission ever failed even once, that would mean instant death.

The government would deny their existences, acting as if they didn't have any involvement at all. However, Wind Team was successful and only recently returned back to the base. Zhang Liang only knew about this because of his connection with the military. If not, he would have never known about this at all.

"So, how is it, General?"

The General looked at the phone in his hand as if it was his mortal enemy. "I'll give the Wind Team to you. However, I'll still have them to do some covert mission from time to time. From now on, they're going to work covertly in the Capital City area."

Zhang Liang smiled. Each team was designated to work in different places. The Wind Team originally didn't work in the capital city area. But since they would be working to protect Feng Mian, the General had to relent.

"That's good."

"Let me warn you that I'll make sure you pay me a lot! You damn brat! Just who in the world is your wife?"

"My wife? She's the best woman in the world."

A series of curse was what Zhang Liang could hear from the General's words. Even though he was happy that someone wanted to work for him, he needed to find out more about this Wind Team. They all consisted of individuals whose identity have been kept a secret from the mass.

Even though they have a real military position and badge, they didn't have the power and only worked behind the shadow.

He was not even sure that they would show themselves to him.

"Should I give instruction through call or will they meet me directly?"

"Unless it's necessary, I would rather you not meet with them. I'll give you the phone number and also their codename."

"Sounds good enough."

Zhang Liang talked a bit more to ease the general and negotiated the price. After they had reached a deal, he got the phone number and texted Wind Team's leader.
