100 years before Divorce

Meng Ran looks grim on her seat as she listens to Guan Xian's speech. Ling Guang notices this, but he practically did not care about her anymore. He's more concerned about the flash disk on Guan Xian's hand right now. 

If that flash disk falls on Xia Sha's hand or she knew about the things he has done behind her. He knew death is just a matter of time. 

Forget about Xia Sha's revenge that is coming. He should face the wrath of the shareholders and Xiao Yu, his biggest investor right now. Meng Ran has placed him between the deep sea and hell. How is he supposed to escape from this death trap? 

He keeps eyeing Guan Xian nervously. 

"Meng Ran, you need to find a way to get that flash disk. You will be dead if you fail this!" He whispers with a tone full of threatening. He leans inward his body so nobody could hear his voice. Meng Ran forced a smile in front of the public as she nods her head like an obedient little wife.

If she is not surrounded by important people today, that could be one of her future. She wanted to push Ling Guang's body away from her, desperately! 

Hmph! Ever since Ling Guang lost control over the Bright Electronic shares, he just changed to a different man. He no longer coaxes or buys her gift. His focus was solely on the company and his new product. 

He has been dissatisfying for a long while now that she meets the perfect man of her dream. Guan Xian.

But damn Xia Sha! Why does Guan Xian fall for that witch instead?

She is so callous and cold. She did not even look interested in Guan Xian, but he confessed that he is pursuing her. Not once, but twice in two hours!

Why Xia Sha gets everything so easily while she needs to work hard? She could not even get the rose pin she wanted and lose the golden hairpin from the Guan family to Xia Sha!

The auctions become so dull and boring in Meng Ran's eyes afterward. Every time the moderator said something, he would remind her of the things Xia Sha snatch from her. 

"Our last piece is something freshly bake from the oven," The moderator said before two people wearing white gloves and black suit carrying a painting. 

"Isn't this the painting Master Mao paint in the beginning? Young Master Jian convince Master Mao to auction his painting? Unbelievable!" She heard the girl from the right table talking so enthusiastic. 

She narrowed her eyes at the Chinese ink painting and furrowed her eyebrow. It just a painting, she could not see what so valuable and special about it. Thinking that the auction will be even more boring, she takes a glass of wine and takes a little sip.

"Starting price is 5 million!" The moderator announced. More than five boards raised in the air at the same time. 

Meng Ran could never understand these rich people burning money for something they couldn't brag to their friends? What for?!

"10 Million," Xia Sha's perfect voice makes her heart perks up. She looked up almost instantly and looked in Xia Sha's direction. The bold woman wearing a red dress is smiling enchantingly.

Out of habit, she observed Ling Guang's face whenever something related to Xia Sha comes out. Just like what she had expected, Ling Guang is staring at Xia Sha with those pathetic looks again. 

She gritted her teeth before her gaze landed on the board with her number. Without thinking, she raised her board when the moderator raises the price again. 

"15 Million to number 63." 

Xia Sha looked at Meng Ran with an unhappy face. Meng Ran isn't interested in something she could not wears. She only joins the bid to beat her. 

Huh, does she think because she snatches Ling Guang once, she could win over her? 

"20," She calls. 

"21." Meng Ran sounds she has no fear in spending Ling Guang's money.

"25." 

"26." Meng Ran shamelessly call. 

"30!" There is no turning back in humiliating Meng Ran. Although she will overpay for the painting, at least the money would go to the cancer foundation.

The fierce competition between Xia Sha and Meng Ran is something refreshing to watch. Especially in Guan Xian's eyes, Xia Sha looks so beautiful when she put on her 'I will win so you better give up' face. 

He loves to see her win. But he has a plan made with the painting involved. Sadly, he had to let the beauty be disappointed for a while. So when Ling Guang forcefully held Meng Ran's hand to stop her bidding and Xia Sha almost win, he raised his board. 

"143 Million," Guan Xian bid indifferently. 

Ji Cun Xi choked his wine. He almost spurting out blood when his best friend confidently shouted the words. He glares at Guan Xian angrily as he cracked the pistachio nuts with his thumb and index finger, squeezing it open. 

Damn Guan Xian! He has shoved dog food down everybody's throat three times in two hours! 143! I love you! I like you! I miss you! Or whatever sweet nothing he wanted to say to Xia Sha. 

He is pursuing Xia Sha. Could he be any more clear now?!

Different from Ji Cun Xi, Xia Sha is very much stunned when he saw the man had outbid her in a hidden confession. She watched him button up his suit while walking to the stage with a smirked on his face. 

From the moment he stood on the stage, his gaze has fallen on Xia Sha the whole time. Xia Sha felt her heart began to pound widely again. This time it's even faster and louder than before. 

"Well, Master Mao, thank you for giving me chances of acquiring your work. It's always been a masterpiece, always." Mao Bu Yi is sitting next to Jian Jun nod his head slightly, giving Guan Xian a thumbs up. 

"You know, because of you, I got one more opportunity to burden the woman I like with another date." Guan Xian's honest words make several people laugh and steal glances at Xia Sha. 

Xia Sha keeps her cold face and flat lips but finding she is failing miserably when her cheeks burn hot. 

"Stop staring at her. She will get uncomfortable and run away from me again. Do you know how many times she has run away from me?" Guan Xian protested and pretend to frowns. The crowd cheers and gave Guan Xian a sudden round of applause for no reason. 

"Okay, Okay, enough of clapping. Let me just get this straight. I bought this painting because of her. So I'll be giving this to the rightful owner." He gives back the mic to the moderator and walks down with a painting in his hand. 

Xia Sha watches him approaching her. Every step closer, her heart will pound louder and louder. Her whole body turns hot as his unfailing mischievous dark brown eyes collide with her's. 

Contrast red and black formed when Guan Xian stood in front of Xia Sha and handing the painting to her. Xia Sha received the painting with a shaky hand. Not because the painting is so valuable that she got nervous. But by his sudden action makes her inner goddess dancing wildly inside. 

Tell her that she can't fall in love with him. Her common-sense speaks again. But this time, the whole-cell inside of her just doesn't want to listen to common sense. They decided to make her blush and smile like a girl in love. 

"Here, you don't have to accept my feelings. I just want you to know that I'm meant every word I said to you before." He winked before walking back to his seat as if nothing has happened. 

Xia Sha stood there like a stupid statue, looking at the painting on her hand and another small black flash-disk rested on her palm. Only when Xiao Zhan calls her name, she manages to move her body and sit on her chair.

She actually needs twelve times chanting Grace under pressure to gain back her composure. Guan Xian is chuckling secretly when he watched her acting like a confused little girl. 

Xiao Ni leans into Wang Kai while looking at her brother. "Does this mean I would lose my brother to my enemy soon?" Xiao Ni whispers with a slightly sad tone. 

Wang Kai pokes her cheeks and nonchalantly replied. "You have me," 

Ji Cun Xin almost spurt out blood for a second time. His single souls are so tormented here on the table full of whipped people. For the first time, he actually wishes he has a stable girlfriend. 

Meng Ran's focus is on Guan Xian's handsome face when he smiles. It's so infuriating that Xia Sha is the one who makes him smiles like that and not her!

"Don't forget the flash disk!" Ling Guang whispered while failing to notice Guan Xian has perfectly given the flash disk in Xia Sha's hand.

Xiao Zhan's face is really dark when he found Xia Sha starts smiling. His lips twitched as he enviously asked, "Do you like that painting that much?" 

He should have joined the bid, but Guan Xian had the moderator stops at him. Dang, it! 

"Hm, I really like it." Xia Sha murmured while her eyes glued at the black flash disk. Looks like Guan Xian is not lying when he said he will catch her if she falls. 

She hasn't yet to fall, but he had caught her.
