2 Years Of Restarting

"I don't have any parents since I'm raised by my grandfather." Lei Xing Yi looked at the woman in front of her without any trace of feelings in the slightest bit. She looked at the woman in front of her. "I don't owe you anything after I sell the mine to you at half the market price. Is there anything else you want to say, Mrs. Lei?"

The words she said was extremely sharp and certainly provoked Kang Mao Yao to the deepest point. She pointed her finger at Lei Xing Yi but she could not find any words to retort. 

She never wanted to have a child.

When she was ultimately pregnant, she had been thinking for a long time whether to abort the child or not. If it was not because of her father watching her intently, she might have already aborted her child many years ago. Lei Huan himself didn't care for her but her father was someone who wanted to have more grandchildren.

In the end, she gave birth but just a few days afterwards, she sent her to her father's place. She had no intention to care for this daughter of hers, which only ruin her figure and made her unable to participate in many gathering for the past year.

Many of her friends loved to flaunt their children but Kang Mao Yao was too lazy to even care about her daughter. She was more concerned about her appearance, image, and all.

She's a selfish woman.

And she didn't really care for her family because it would only make things difficult for her.

"Kang Mao Yao, this is not the place for this. You have already promised that you won't bother with her anymore after signing the agreement, didn't you?" Lei Huan stopped his wife from making herself even more embarrassed than this. 

He looked at his daughter but his gaze was still as indifferent as ever. In his entire life, he had never taken care of his daughter and naturally had no feelings whatsoever towards her. For him, whether she wanted to acknowledged him as her father or not didn't matter in the slightest bit.

Lei Xing Yi naturally noticed her father's gaze, but she was not hurt in the slightest bit. She had long known about her father's intention towards her. He didn't care for her and didn't even treat her as someone who existed as if him making her come to this world through the act with her mother was nothing more but a mistake.

When she was young, she yearned for his affection but as time passed and she grew up, she gave up on it. In her eyes, it was no longer important.

Her grandfather told her some things about her parents.

But they would not be able to erase the fact that these two would never want to have her in their lives. 

"Anything else you want to say, Mr. Lei and Mrs. Lei?"

"How do you even come here? A disgrace… a university student like you shouldn't have been able to come here!"

"University student?" Lei Xing Yi was amused. "Are you saying that university student won't be able to work because of their young age? I'm certainly feeling amused by your words Mrs. Lei."

"You…"

"Also, if you're thinking of me as an ordinary university student, I reckon you're not going to be able to rest properly at night."

"What are you…"

"Madam, can't you stop yapping? There's an identification card that we have to wear all the time. This Miss is the CEO of the newly built Xingyan Company. It's been garnering some fame lately."

Xingyan Company?

Kang Mao Yao was unfamiliar with the name while Lei Xing Yi certainly knew that name. He looked at his daughter as his gaze deepened. "I see. As it turns out, the new company belongs to you."

"It's a pleasure to meet with you, Mr. Lei." Lei Xing Yi was still being indifferent and didn't even act polite in the slightest bit. She had no intention of getting herself embroiled in more drama, so she was determined to act as the most ruthless person from time to time.

No matter what, she would not show her weakness.

"What business is that?" Kang Mao Yao snapped.

Lei Xing Yi passed a look at Kang Mao Yao. "Why do you even care? Don't start your act as a loving mother when you didn't even exist in my entire 18 years of life. Aside from the nine months when you carry me in your stomach, I didn't exist in your life. Don't even try to sugarcoat my words. You of all people should know very well whether this is the truth or not."

The words were cold and naturally leaked out some personal matters. Some people gasped in surprise when they heard what Lei Xing Yi said. It was the same as saying that from the moment Lei Xing Yi was born, she was not even staying with her mother and instead given to other people to raise.

Who was this other people? Obviously Kang Shu Jiang.

Kang Mao Yao's face turned pale. "Don't you dare…."

"Whether I speak the truth or not, you can easily search about it with some investigation. However, it's up to you whether to believe it or not." Lei Xing Yi was too lazy to bother with these two as she walked pass them and stopped before Yu Yan. "Sorry that I take a long time."

"I'm still talking to you, you…."

"I don't want to speak to you anymore, Mrs. Lei. Can't you stop pretending and just leave? Even your sister is not as shameless as you." Lei Xing Yi jeered. 

Kang Mao Lan, who got hit out of nowhere, sneezed. She also attended the bidding with her husband but right now, their expression was not really good. Their current business was dwindling a bit and there was even new competitor. Right now, she didn't come to Kang Mao Yao's side because her husband had stopped her from going there.

"Are you sick?"

"…No."
