2 Years Of Restarting

Yu Yan didn't linger on the thought regarding Lei Xing Yi's father for a long time. She prepared herself for the party and headed out with Long Ying. What surprised her a bit was the fact that Long Ying didn't wear contact lenses and instead wear the black glasses.

"You're not going to wear contact lenses today? Are you going back to the base after the party is over?" Yu Yan was a bit confused. If she was not wrong, the time when Long Ying would not wear the contact lenses was when he wanted to have a fight later on. The contact lenses simply hindered him from looking at his surrounding properly, so he would rather not wear any.

Long Ying shook his head. "I didn't wear the contact lenses because I have to meet someone later."

"Oh."

Yu Yan didn't ask more and just departed with the car. An Lin was still the driver but it was clear that he broke out in cold sweat when he saw his Boss's gaze. Because of the report he had just given, he was not punished right away for barging during the time when the two of them were flirting with each other. He felt thoroughly glad that he was not punished.

At least, for now.

The party was located in one of the Long Family Estate. It was different from the one where Long Shao Huai and the other previously met Long Ying and the others. However, the location was still categorized as luxurious as not everyone would be able to purchase such a large place without proper connection and a lot of money.

When they arrived, Long Ying walked out first and then stood by the side of the car and offered his hand to Yu Yan, perfectly escorting her out. Yu Yan was surprised to see Long Ying's gesture but she accepted his hand. Slowly, she walked out of the car and noticed that there were a lot of people who were looking in her direction with curiosity.

"Why is that man wearing black glasses?"

"Is he a famous figure?"

"Really, I don't know anyone with that kind of figure. You must be seeing things wrongly."

"Then, why?"

Yu Yan looked at Long Ying, who gave her a kind smile. She smiled back in response and the two of them walked hand by hand. Entering the venue, she could notice that some people paid attention because of Long Ying's unusual attire and his long hair, but she had long gotten used to such criticism.

Right now, she could ignore everything with ease.

"Please write your name here and please show me your invitation." A woman was smiling at the front. She was tasked to register everyone's attendance and also to check their invitation.

Yu Yan handed the invitation while Long Ying wrote their names. Looking at how their two names were written side by side, he felt a bit satisfied.

The young woman looked at the name written and then handed the invitation back. "Please enjoy your stay, Mr. and Mrs. Long."

Yu Yan nodded, feeling secretly elated at this way of address. Holding Long Ying's hand, the two of them entered the venue. Even though it was a mansion, right now the entire hall was completely decorated and there were a lot of people who were already there.

She blinked. "We're not late, right?"

"No. The party will not start so soon." Long Ying squinted his eyes. "Let's walk to the back garden."

"It's also for the party?"

"Yes."

It was certainly not Long Ying's first time coming to the mansion. He skillfully led Yu Yan in the crowd towards the back and headed to the open door that was directed to the backyard. The backyard was also decorated with festive color, mainly red. There were a lot of decorations and also tables that was placed there.

Some people were already there as they were also escaping from the narrow hall. With so many people, even the spacious hall couldn't hold them all inside properly without making them feel a bit suffocated.

"Yu Yan!" Kang San Hai was also escaping to the back and his eyes lit up when he saw Yu Yan. "You're also here!"

"Yes, we're invited." Yu Yan flashed a smile.

At this time, Kang San Hai didn't think her words were strange but if he were to dwell on it, he would feel that there was something that didn't match. Based on what Yu Yan leaked to them, Long Ying was an unemployed man and naturally it meant that he was someone with low status.

How could ordinary person be invited to the high end party hosted by Long Family? No one would think that it was possible.

However, Kang San Hai didn't even want to think of that as he was simply happy to see Yu Yan again. "I didn't expect you to come here. Oh right, I should introduce you to sister in law. She's very pretty and also come from military. Damn, I can't believe that Brother is so lucky to be able to meet a partner from military and she's even very pretty!"

In Kang San Hai's opinion, most women who entered military were mostly those who were strong physically. Besides of that, they might also not be that pretty since they were training under the glaring sun every single day.

But his worldview was overturned when his brother introduced his girlfriend. The girl was so pretty, damn it! He even felt slight, just slight and definitely not a lot, regret for not continuing to serve in military to be able to meet with some pretty girls.

If he could also meet with pretty lady like his sister in law, he was sure that his mother would stop bothering him. Uh, wait, he still had to settle the problem of his habit of flirting. 

Yu Yan was amused.. "I'll pay a visit to your house then. Is your brother here?"
