2 Years Of Restarting

"With how loud the teacher's voice is, do I really need to eavesdrop? Everyone already hear her shouting your name loudly."

The young Yu Yan released the young Long Ying's ear as she glared at him. He was already attracting so many attentions because of his attire. Was there any need for him to attract more attention by making the teacher angry?

The young Long Ying rolled his eyes. "Just let it be, it's not like they'll think of me any differently."

"So, what did you do this time?"

"What? I just submit another blank test paper. That stupid test can just go to hell for all I care."

The young Long Ying never cared much about his grades. It was not like he couldn't do the test, but he was too lazy to care about those. In his opinion, those test were only designed for stupid people.

"You can just answer one or two."

"No."

"Why?"

"Zero looks more beautiful."

The young Yu Yan: "…" what's with that artistic sense?

Not wanting to bother with the young Long Ying's unreasonable reason, she pointed to the stairs. "Shall we go home together? I'll treat you to a sweet as a way to console your wounded heart."

"My heart is not wounded!" the young Long Ying protested. 

"Well, how is it? I'm in good mood since you're waiting for me."

The young Long Ying and the young Yu Yan had been going home together for some time by now. They didn't have chauffeur who would take them from and to school, which was why the two of them walked to school. Their residences were also not far from the school, so it didn't matter that much.

"Alright, there should be a cake store on our way back home if we take a short detour." The young Long Ying agreed almost immediately.

The young Yu Yan rolled her eyes. "Why don't you just say that you want to take advantage of me?"

"Ah, I'll never do that."

"Really?"

"I promise~."

The young Yu Yan glared at the young Long Ying. "Come on then, let's go."

"Wait, what's the catch for you to buy me sweet? You're not usually so kindhearted."

"I want you to tutor me."

The young Long Ying looked at the young Yu Yan with an 'As I thought' expression. It seemed that he had already guessed that it was impossible for the young Yu Yan to be so kind hearted all of the sudden.

"What? You have free time, right?" The young Yu Yan glared.

"I have!"

"That's great! Let's go then!"

The young Long Ying watched the young Yu Yan's back and softly muttered in a voice that only he could hear, 'Even if I don't have time, I can make one for you.'

"Long Ying?"

"Coming!"

The two of them walked side by side across the street. There were some people who passed them a look but then ignored them because children their ages were quite common to be seen. Only some people looked longer and sneered at how the young Long Ying looked like.

It was strange to see the combination of school uniform and black glasses.

"Here's a cake store!" The young Yu Yan pointed to the store before her and grinned. "Pick one and I'll pay for it."

"Hmm, then I'll have that Black Forest Chocolate Cake."

"You like chocolate cake?"

"Yes! I like it the most."

"Okay!" The young Yu Yan bought the cake while the young Long Ying looked around. His eyes glanced at the row of puddings at the other side. "Do you like puddings?"

"I do."

"Which one?"

"Chocolate ones!"

"Then let's eat two now, I'll be the one to pay."

"Hey, it's supposed to be my treat!"

"It's fine! You already buy me a cake, so let me be the one to buy the pudding for us."

"Hey, hey!"

*back to the present*

That might be the first time there was anyone who fought against each other to be the one to treat the other party. Yu Yan was always feeling amused by that day because she and Long Ying quarreled for a long time before she agreed to let him treat her for pudding.

Long Ying's eyes flashed. He seemed to… have forgotten the part of the cake and only remember the pudding.

"That's the first and last time I ever buy you sweet." Yu Yan tilted her head. "But at least, you did tutor me and help me get better score."

"You don't need me to tutor you in all subjects since you're not that bad in class." If Long Ying was not wrong, Yu Yan only failed in language class. It was to the point he wondered how did she manage to communicate daily yet her score was so bad that it was so unbearable to look.

Yu Yan rolled her eyes. "Can't help it, I always mistook the first and second tone when I write the pinyin."

Long Ying's lips twitched. "Didn't I already tell you that first tone is longer while the second tone is going up, so it's cut short."

"I know, it's just hard to differentiate it at times."

"You really need to read the dictionary."

Yu Yan glowered. Who in their right state of mind would spend their time memorizing that accursed dictionary? There were too many words and she obviously had no intention to open the dictionary and started reading.

Anyway, her glorious school days were already long over. She hated herself for the fact that she was too idiot in some classes that the teacher was always so exasperated with her.

"Your order is here," the waitress came to their table. "One chocolate cake and two chocolate puddings."

Long Ying nodded then pushed the pudding to Yu Yan. On the other hand, Yu Yan handed the chocolate cake to Long Ying.

Looking at these two, the waitress' eyes lit up a bit. She was the same person as the one who take their order and still remembered that the one who ordered the pudding was the male while the woman was the one who ordered the chocolate cake.

These two… were actually ordering for each other?

She felt a bit giddy at the thought and wished that she could share this to her friend right now. Looking at these two made her feel that they were a really sweet couple.

"You should buy the small size," Long Ying commented but he started to eat. It has been some time since the last time he ate any sweet since there was no time for him to indulge himself. His enemies would never let him catch any breath and relax.

"You want the large one for yourself before and now you want the small one?" Yu Yan was surprised.

"I haven't eaten sweet for so long."

"If you can't finish it, I'll eat it in your stead."

Long Ying arched his eyebrows. He scooped a bit with his spoon and hovered it in front of Yu Yan. "Want to take a bite?"

"Sure." Yu Yan opened her mouth and let Long Ying fed her. The cake tasted quite good too.

"How is it?"

"It's good."

"Want the pudding too? You bought two and it might be too much for me."

"Sure."

The subordinates who were guarding the two: "…" BOSS, can you please stop feeding dog food to us?

Watching their cold Boss eating cake and pudding with a woman while flirting hurt their eyes so much. Right now, they began to wonder how should they ease the pain in their heart right now.

An Lin patted his chest and glared at Lan Huo, feeling indignant that he still had to see this even though they were in a mission.

Lan Huo merely passed a glance then looked away. He had already seen both Long Ying and Yu Yan being so lovey dovey like two teenagers in love countless times. From the moment An Lin gave the job of being the driver to him, he had already being fed so much.

"Do you purposely ask me to come here just to watch them?" An Lin glowered.

"You're the one who want to come here and now you blame me? These two are even more open in their interaction at home." Lan Huo felt like he could tell the story without end. After all, whenever these two had breakfast together or dinner together, they would fill each other's plate.

It was gratifying to see that the two of them had harmonious relationship.

But being a single man… it was a torture to watch all of them, ah!

"An Luo should be here instead of me," An Lin grumbled. His face scrunched when he saw Yu Yan also fed Long Ying and looked away in exasperation.

"He's in City A."

"So fast?"

"I'm sure that he can't stand being around Boss and Madam for too long either.. Even San Xia often roll her eyes when she looks at the two of them."
