Otome's Law of Ascension
Chapter 30
Chapter 30
"Sir." Licia lowered her voice and followed Ascha.
Earl Ascha put his hand on the short crossbow and turned his head slowly.
I saw a girl wearing a short gray hooded jacket with only two bright blue eyes showing.
Ascha sighed and took three coins out of his pocket. "Little sister, I'm not rich either."
The circle of light on the side of the road had already begun to light up, and Licia grumbled, more like a girl who came to beg for money.
"Uncle Ascha, it's me, I'm Licia Campbell." Licia pulled down the scarf that covered her nose and mouth a lot, revealing her beautiful face.
She looked at the hand with the three silver coins spread out, slowly retracted it, and took it out again. "Ah, Lycia, do you want to buy some sweets? Here you are."
Even Licia, who had seen the big scene before, was also stunned. "Uncle, I have something very important to ask you to discuss."
Ascha couldn't think of anything he could discuss with a little girl, but he nodded dully.
"Where is this going?" Ascha slowly grabbed his short crossbow again, and shrinking his neck, his eyes kept looking at the walls on both sides of the alley.
His face looks white and tender, but there is not much hair left, but he is very tall. He only wears an autumn guard suit and earrings on his ears. It can be seen that he should be a very Hipster gentleman.
In fact, Licia thought of a lot of excuses to bring Ascha to Hal's Tavern for a conversation, but he obviously didn't give himself a chance, and followed without any hesitation.
"A tavern." Licia pointed to a very inconspicuous wooden sign protruding from the corner.
She found Ascha rubbing his hands together with excitement.
"Do you want to invite uncle to drink?" Ascha seemed completely unaware of how strange it was to go to a tavern with an underage girl. He only had alcohol in his heart.
Licia paused, wondering if she had chosen the wrong person. Is this Count Ascha really reliable?
"Yes, Uncle Ascha." Licia walked ahead, and Ascha, who was nearly two meters tall, shyly followed her into Howl's Tavern.
At this point, there are no customers in the tavern, and the owner is wiping the glasses.
Licia also came here for the first time.
"If you need a hidden place to chat, Hal's Tavern on Qiduobach Street is a good choice." This is the place recommended by His Royal Highness.
"Drink or chat." The boss didn't show any surprise, put down the towel and cup, and asked Licia.
Licia took out a gold coin from her pocket. "Chat, but get us some wine too please, uh. What wine do you need."
Licia turned her head and saw that Ascha's facial expression was out of control, pointing to a bottle of golden wine on the bar.
"Just the bottle."
The boss nodded. "Go straight along the corridor, the fifth room on the right. Ma'am, this bottle of wine needs to pay another thirty silver coins."
Lycia took out another gold coin, but she had no change. "Make up the wine for seventy silver coins, and pack it for this man when you leave."
After drinking a glass of wine, Count Ascha suddenly woke up.
"Did you wait on my way home on purpose?" Ascha couldn't help but took another drink.
"Yes, Lord Earl, as you know, my father was framed and is now suspended." She unbuttoned her heavy clothes, revealing her slender neck, and straightened her fluffy blond hair.
Around her neck hangs a gold family crest, the kind that only the heir and head of the family can wear on the chest.
It also reminds Ascha that Lycia is now talking to him as the heir to the Campbell family.
"The Duke of Campbell should come and talk to me."
Licia didn't expect Ascha to be more sober after drinking, so she grabbed the bottle. "Uncle Ascha, my father is inconvenient. As long as he moves, he will be monitored by the church."
Ascha had just finished his glass and licked his lips. "Then..." His hand hovered above the wine bottle. "Then tell me first, what can I do for you?"
Lycia picked up the wine bottle and filled Count Ascha with wine. "I want you to help me, the man who watches over the d'Urbervilles is sitting in my father's place."
Ascha picked up the glass and put it down again. "I can't do this. The Duke of D'Urberwell is already surrounded by people from the church, and if the secret of the officer is leaked in the barracks, the evidence is solid, and he will be dismissed and exiled directly. I think the Duke of Campbell should have told you this."
Of course Licia knew that he couldn't help easily, she looked directly at the [-]% favorability level above Ascha's head, thinking of the six-pointed star in her heart.
A moment later, the six-pointed star came out of Licia's hand and slowly floated over Ascha's head.
As if being hit by something, Ascha, who was still drinking, suddenly felt that the wine in his hand was not so fragrant.
Instead, he felt that the stronger fragrance came from Licia on the opposite side, and he frowned vigilantly.
In fact, Licia's hands were full of sweat, and she was alone with a man who was several times stronger than herself, and she also used a six-pointed star to make him have a strong affection for her.
"What did you do to me?" A grizzly bear appeared on Astra's forehead, and hard black fur had grown on his neck.
Licia raised her head in a panic, how could she be seen through again? The power of such a coat of arms is too weak.
"What..." She bit the bullet and pretended not to know, with a look of fear already showing in her eyes.
Fortunately, the six-pointed star did not fall. Ascha looked into Licia's eyes and suddenly believed that she didn't know anything.
Licia didn't dare to look away, and kept looking into Ascha's eyes.
Until the grizzly bear on his forehead faded.
"I blamed you, maybe I drank a little too much." Ascha took another drink. "As for what you said, surveillance, that's impossible."
Lycia breathed a sigh of relief and leaned back in her chair. "Well. So what to do, what to do with my father."
"Even if the Duke of Campbell understands d'Urberwell's actions, it's useless. The church has finally installed its own people in, and it won't be so easy to let go." Ascha looked at Licia, and he shook his head, wondering if he was real? I drank too much and had bad fantasies about such a young lady.
"You don't need to be too depressed. If there is any news related to the Duke of Campbell, I will find someone to deliver it to you." He felt that he could no longer be with this girl who was known as the Pearl of the Empire. "I have a servant's son who is also at the academy. I will ask him to deliver it to you. His name is Apido."
Ascha stood up in a panic after speaking, he had to go outside to enjoy the cold wind.
"Thank you, Earl." Licia also stood up and sent Ascha out.
Seeing him leaving in a panic with a bag of wine, Licia finally believed that the six-pointed star was indeed useful.
As Earl Ascha walked away, the six-pointed star returned to Licia's hands again, and this time its light seemed to have dimmed a lot.
