Otome's Law of Ascension

Chapter 63 63. Joseph and his wife

Chapter 63 63. Joseph and his wife

"The church again?" Licia was already numb, and everything she encountered recently was related to the church.

Has the image of the church been flattened to the point where it can only be a villain?

"Correct, ahem, it's the Church of the Goddess of the Sun." Geese pressed his veil and said.

Both Licia and the man looked at him at the same time. "Are there any other churches?"

Keith cleared his throat again. "Of course there are, like me, well, let's not talk about it, we're at the place, go down quickly."

When Licia got out of the car, she passed Keith and smelled a sour smell again.

"Gith! Smelly woman, where are you going!" A little clay figurine stretched his waist, reaching only to the knee of Ghis.

Licia thinks the title of stinky woman is quite suitable for Keith.

"Go out, don't stop me." Geese urged Licia and the man to leave quickly.

"Door No. [-]? Where is Gate No. [-]?" Licia raised her head, then lowered her head. She searched the whole circle but did not see anything related to the door.

"The mud monster will take us there." Keith bent down and picked up the little clay figurine. "Let's go, let's."

The little clay figurine twisted several times. "If you call me Master Black Pearl, I will let you go."

"Black Pearl, this is the last limit, don't go too far." Geese shook his wrist.

Black Pearl's muddy finger pointed at Licia. "Aren't you going to play longer? Are you leaving now?"

Licia nodded. "Yes, Black Pearl."

"Alright then." The little clay figurine exploded suddenly, and the black mud splashed all over Licia and the three of them.

Then the ground they were on began to soften.

Licia felt a ringing in her ears, and when she opened her eyes, she was already lying on the shore.

"Licia!" She heard a shrill female voice.

She quickly got up from the ground.

On the other hand, Geese jumped to a far away position, and cautiously looked at Fudomi who rushed over.

The man who said he wanted to avenge his wife was looking at Licia, Fudomi and the surrounding environment, and happened to meet Buchton's eyes.

"Who are they?" Fudomi asked. "Why did you escape from the swamp so quickly, are these two people you rescued?"

"We were rescued by her." Keith held his nose and stood far away, mumbling something in his mouth.

"Yes." The man also echoed.

"What do you call these two?" Fudomi asked politely, holding Licia's hand.

"I'm Guise."

"I'm Joseph."

It was also the first time Licia had heard of a man's name, so she nodded as if she had heard it before.

"Oh, by the way, we have to help this gentleman save his wife first."

Joseph nodded, with an anxious look on his face.

"Fudomi, you go back and tell His Highness first, I will run with them first." There is no need to pass through the place where they camped from the swamp to Sufaluo city.

"Run on two legs? No need for a carriage?" said Fudomi.

"Carriage, oh, yes. Then we have to go back to the camp." While Licia was speaking, Keith quietly leaned over.

Gululu bubbles appeared in the swamp, and then an open carriage with four seats and four wheels surfaced and was pushed to the shore.

"My God, Licia, even the swamp is falling for you." Of course, Fudomi could already guess that this swamp is definitely not an ordinary swamp.

Licia laughed twice, and pulled out the carriage with Joseph.

"It just so happens that I still have a quick-moving magic circle." Licia arranged the magic circle on the carriage. "How about Buchton go back first and help Domi and us go together?"

Licia sat on it first, then Keith squatted on the handle of the front of the car, and Joseph sat opposite Licia.

Fudomi also got into the car, beside Lizia.

"There's nothing to get involved in the affairs of the common people." Buchton slapped the sword on the carriage, then got on the carriage and sat next to Joseph. "I'll go too. Your Highness has the Duke of Troy over there. You don't need to be notified to know that we are fine."

"Which area are you from?"

Licia was very surprised that Buchton would actually say such a word to a stranger.

"Rose Block."

"What happened to your wife, and what happened to you?"

Licia looked puzzled. "Buchton, don't act like an interrogator. If you really don't want to go, you can go down first."

Keith squatted on the handlebars to steer the carriage through the woods.

Buchton pouted.

"People in the church may hurt her, I have to save her." Joseph replied truthfully.

"You saved her?" Buchton snorted.

"If he's lying to us, there's no need, even I can easily subdue him." Lizia said, the wind blew her hair, and when she was arranging her hair, Lizia suddenly thought of a possibility.

After all, there are too many coincidences in this Joseph.

Buchton's interrogation speech aroused the seed of doubt in Licia's heart.

That's right, when it comes to going to church, this Joseph doesn't have the upper hand at all. Even if his wife is really in danger, he can't help him when he goes back.

Even she was a little suspicious of Keith.

"Where you live, you have to tell in advance, and then let Jiss take the direction." Licia remembered that the Rose Street was very large, and even part of it was a chaotic neighborhood that no one managed.

"Third block." Joseph replied.

*

"Divination, what happened to Buchton and the others, why haven't they come back yet?" Dimitri saw that the sun had already risen to the middle position.

Licia and the others had left for three hours, and everyone else had already set up their tents, and some people started preparing to live and cook through the circle.

Troy closed his eyes for a while, and divination about Fudomi's situation.

"It seems..." He frowned, not knowing what he saw. "Wait, why did they return to Sufaluo City?"

*

The carriage arrived at Rose Street.

The residents in Rose Street are all civilians. When they saw them, they all came to watch.

But dare not get too close.

Joseph led the way.

Licia and Keith followed behind, and Buchton walked side by side with Joseph in two big strides, and Fudomi drew out his staff and followed Lizia one step behind.

Keith walked so awkwardly that for a moment Lycia thought she was going to tuck her head into her clothes.

"The crowd, it's scary."

Especially the crowd of onlookers.

"Joseph! Ha! Your wife has been taken away!" Walking into a narrow alley, an old woman who was squatting by the smelly ditch at the door and washing her child stood up. "You are finished, Joseph, I told you to borrow money from Lu Xi. Hahahahaha, this is all retribution, you will never be able to move out from here for the rest of your life!" The old woman held her protruding belly and made a bitter voice A mean laugh came.
