Chapter 656: Journey to the West: Zhu Jiumei 15
After leaving Chang'an, Tang Monk and his three disciples traveled westwards, traveling day and night. One day, they came to a place with dense forests.

The sun shines through the gaps in the leaves, forming patches of light. Birds sing happily on the branches, as if seeing them off.

"Master, I'm hungry after all this journey." Zhu Jiumei said shyly, touching her stomach. If her free space was still there, then these wouldn't be a problem.

Tang Seng smiled and said, "Bajie, monks need to be patient. I believe there will be a place to beg for alms ahead."

The tiger demon laughed loudly: "What monks who are seeking scriptures, once they come to me, they will all become my meals!"

Sun Wukong's eyes widened with anger: "You evil beast, how dare you be so presumptuous in front of me!" As he said that, he swung his golden cudgel and hit the tiger demon.

Sha Wujing watched anxiously from the side, ready to join the battle at any time.

Sun Wukong and the tiger demon fought to a standstill. Gradually the tiger demon became exhausted and began to consider retreating.

The tiger demon slapped Zhu Jiumei on the back with one claw. Zhu Jiumei felt pain but still protected Tang Seng tightly.

"How dare you hurt my junior sister!" Seeing this, Sun Wukong became even more angry. The power of his golden cudgel increased greatly and he hit the tiger monster on the hind leg with one blow.

The tiger demon screamed and fell to the ground.

Sha Wujing took the opportunity to use his magic staff to pin down the tiger demon, making it unable to move.

Sun Wukong jumped in front of the tiger demon and said, "You are such a fool, why don't you beg for mercy!"

The tiger demon begged for mercy, "Great Sage, please spare my life. I am blind and will never do that again."

Tang Seng said: "Wukong, God is merciful. If it truly repents, please let it live."

Sun Wukong snorted, "For Master's sake, I will spare your life today. If you do evil again, I will never forgive you!"

The tiger demon nodded quickly and said, "Thank you, Holy Monk, thank you, Great Sage. I will definitely change for the better."

After saying this, he limped away into the woods.

"Great Sage? How does he know that senior brother is the Great Sage?" Zhu Jiumei murmured to herself, and suddenly she understood in her heart that it seemed that all these were arranged by God in order to complete the 81 difficulties.

The group continued to move forward, and in the evening, they arrived at a dilapidated temple.

The gate of the temple was half-open and surrounded by weeds.

Sun Wukong pushed open the door and a stale smell hit him in the face.

"Master, let's rest here tonight." said Sun Wukong.

Tang Seng nodded: "Okay, but this temple looks a bit eerie, everyone should be more careful."

They walked into the temple and cleared a clean area. Zhu Jiumei went to find some firewood and prepared to make a fire to cook.

Sha Wujing put the luggage away and stayed by Tang Seng's side.

After a while, the fire was lit and the warm flames illuminated everyone's faces.

"Master, eat some dry food first." Zhu Jiumei handed over a piece of dry food.

Tang Seng took the dry food and said, "Thank you for your hard work."

At this moment, a strange noise was heard outside. Sun Wukong stood up alertly and said, "Don't move here. I'll go and take a look."

When Sun Wukong walked out of the temple, he saw a dark shadow flash across the roof.

He chased after it, only to find that the shadow had disappeared.

Back at the temple, Sun Wukong said, "Everyone be careful, there may be more monsters."

Everyone stayed up all night, alert to any movement around them.

The four masters and apprentices left the temple and continued their journey westward.

After walking for a while, they came to a village, where smoke from cooking fires rose and the whole place was peaceful.

Zhu Jiumei said happily: "Master, let's go to the village to get some vegetarian food."

Tang Seng nodded in agreement, and everyone came to the door of a house.

Zhu Jiumei went forward and knocked on the door. After a while, the door opened and an old man came out.

Zhu Jiumei said, "Old man, we are monks passing by and would like to ask for some vegetarian food."

The old man looked them up and down and said, "Come in."

Everyone walked into the house and the old man brought out some food.

Tang Seng said gratefully: "Thank you, benefactor."

The old man sighed and said, "You better be careful. Monsters often appear around here."

Sun Wukong said: "Don't worry, old man. With me here, the monsters won't dare to act recklessly."

After the meal, everyone said goodbye to the old man and continued on their way.

As soon as they walked out of the village, they encountered another monster. This monster had a strange appearance and held a big knife.

The monster shouted loudly: "Haha, I finally waited for you!"

Sun Wukong fought with the monster without saying a word.

Zhu Jiumei and Sha Wujing also joined the battle.

After a fierce fight, the monster was finally subdued.

Tang Seng said: "Amitabha, I hope you can reform yourself and stop doing evil things."

The monster nodded and disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Along the way, they subdued demons and experienced all kinds of hardships.

Before I knew it, several months had passed.

One day, they came to a big river. The river was rough and there was no bridge.

"What should I do?" Zhu Jiumei looked at the river worriedly.

Sun Wukong said with a smile: "Don't worry, just look at me."

As he spoke, Sun Wukong plucked out a hair, blew a breath, and turned it into a small boat.

Everyone got on the boat and crossed the river smoothly.

After crossing the river, they walked for a few more days and finally arrived at the foot of a high mountain.

The mountain was shrouded in mist and the top could not be seen clearly.

Tang Seng said: "Wukong, this mountain looks quite steep, we must be careful."

Sun Wukong nodded and said, "Master, don't worry. I am here to protect you all."

The crowd began to climb the mountain. The road was rugged and difficult to walk on, and they climbed up step by step with difficulty.

Suddenly, a fog came and everyone lost their way.
