The illness actually ended more than a week earlier, but, well, during the illness, I became addicted to watching Shao Song. I watched it once and planned to start working on it, and then started watching it again. Then, I continued to apologize. I was actually not sure how far I could go in writing.

I'm getting older, getting married, getting promoted, and all kinds of things are bothering me.

Once upon a time, I thought, because I am not a full-time writer, I don’t have the troubles they have, that is, I have to have readers, otherwise I won’t be able to survive.

I have also complained that some authors I like revised their outlines for the sake of readers.

I thought at the time that if I wrote a book, it would definitely not be like this, because to me, I don’t care about the performance and income of the book at all.

But now, I feel that I am even more restricted. Because I simply can’t write a book wholeheartedly.

When I was writing my first book, what I was thinking was:

If I want to become a qualified writer, I must prove that I have the perseverance to write more than 200 million words.

So for the first book, I wrote 200 million words for free.

The purpose is to prove one's perseverance.

But now that I am getting older, I feel that I am becoming less and less perseverant.

For this book, I put a lot of thought into it and worked hard to lay out a lot of foreshadowings.

I am not willing to finish writing.

It's like a promise that can't be kept.

So, I thought about it, and I shouldn’t let this book break. Even if I climb, I will finish the climb.
