Chapter 1643: Going to the Banquet
Chapter 1643: Going to the Banquet
When the white light faded again, Wei Ran returned to Edelweiss's dream farm and sat at the table again.
Under his stunned gaze, the metal feather pen seemed to not even bother to give him time to react, and once again wrote line after line of words:
Act 5
Role: Wei Ran
Return Mission: Go to the Banquet
Gone?
Wei Ran couldn't help but be stunned. Not only did his name not have any identity prefix this time, but the mission to return was also so simple?
Before he could react, he saw the props that could be used this time in the sudden white light.
A Rollei twin-lens reflex camera, that's all.
Taking a deep breath, Wei Ran calmly waited for the white light to dissipate, while also looking forward to what kind of banquet it would be and who he would see at the banquet.
A moment later, the first external information he felt was the chill on his face, as well as the creaking noise and slight bumps beneath his body.
When everything in his field of vision gradually became clear, the first thing he saw was the driver in front of him and the big mule pulling the cart.
Are you on a sled?
Wei Ran subconsciously looked around. The sled was covered with a thick layer of wheat straw, but apart from the driver, he was the only one on it.
Looking at what he was wearing, Wei Ran couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. At this moment, he was wearing a set of Type 50 winter military uniform that he had worn on the Chaoshan battlefield.
There is no cap badge or chest badge, but the quilted cotton coat, tightened cuffs, high-waisted cotton shoes, felt hat, and even details such as extra padding sewn on shoulders and elbows seem to suggest that he has just stepped off the battlefield.
But he did not have any weapons or ammunition on him, but he did have a small canvas bag filled with a lot of candies of various colors.
There were also several packs of American cigarettes, five or six Zippo lighters, and even two American watches and several Parker pens in his pockets.
Is it my fault that my awareness is so low?
Wei Ran muttered something in annoyance, but that did not stop him from tearing open a pack of Lucky Strike cigarettes, taking out one and lighting it up.
He casually pulled the bundle beside him and opened it to take a look. There wasn't much in it. A square piece of thick floral cloth, a bag of tea, a bag of brown sugar, a bag of tobacco leaves and a few new towels.
In addition, there is also a food-cutting knife, which was given to him by Hu Bazhi.
Could it be that he was going to Hu Bazhi's house?
Wei Ran was looking around at the forest and snow fields as far as his sight could see, while secretly guessing.
"Uu——"
At this moment, the driver called out to the mule pulling the sled to stop, pointed to a fork in the road on the left with his pipe and said, "Comrade, I can only take you here.
Keep walking along that fork in the road, and after crossing the ridge, you will see a village about a mile or two away. That is where you want to go."
"Thank you for giving me a ride"
After Wei Ran thanked him politely, he took out an American lighter and a pack of American cigarettes and gave them to the driver. Then, amid the driver's thanks, he got off the carriage with his bag in his hand. After watching the driver drive away, he threw the bag over his shoulder and walked towards the fork in the road on the crunching snow.
Although he didn't have to hide in the woods this time, and although he didn't have any decent weapons on him, he felt inexplicably more relaxed because of his outfit.
He knew that there was no longer a single living invader on this black land, and even the bandits that once ran rampant were probably only a few left.
Because of this, his steps became lighter and more vigorous.
As he walked, he took out his camera and looked at it. Fortunately, the Rollei camera contained the only roll of film.
Wei Ran hung the camera directly around his neck, straightened his chest, and walked with big strides while admiring the magnificent snow scenery around him - as if he was at home.
He easily climbed over the not-so-high earthen ridge. When he stood on the top of the ridge, he could see from afar a small village surrounded by farmland on the other side of the ridge, right next to the edge of a forest.
There were no more than twenty or thirty households in this village, and a faint smoke was emitting from every chimney. Standing on the earthen ridge, he could even clearly smell the unique aroma of burning pine wood mixed in the cool air.
Tightening the bag on his shoulder, Wei Ran slipped down the earthen ridge and continued walking along the country dirt road leveled by the snow. An irrepressible smile gradually appeared on his face.
At the edge of the nearby village, a few children who were playing on their homemade sleds came over curiously.
"salute!"
One of the little guys, who was chubby and had snot bubbles on his face, shouted loudly and clearly, and the other little guys also raised their left or right hands.
"You're saluting with the wrong hand. It's the other hand!" The little guy who led the salute hurriedly corrected a little girl next to him in a low voice.
It would have been better if he didn't say that. After he finished speaking, the other little guys all subconsciously changed their hands.
"Hello!"
Wei Ran responded with a serious salute with an increasingly uncontrollable smile, then squatted down and asked with a smile, "Little friend, are you from this village?"
"Yes——" the little guys answered in unison with long tones.
"Then who of you knows what this village is called?" Wei Ran continued to ask with a smile.
"Birch Village" The little guy who saluted him first answered quickly.
"Then does anyone of you know if there is a family with the surname Hu in this village?" Wei Ran asked tentatively, and at the same time took out a handful of candies from his bag and shared them with the children.
"His surname is Hu. He is the only one in our village with the surname Hu."
A chubby girl with pigtails pointed at a little boy who looked about five or six years old and said.
"Little boy, what's your name?" Wei Ran said, taking out another handful of candies and stuffing them directly into the little guy's cotton-padded jacket pocket.
"His name is Yuhu! Hu Yuhu!" another kid answered quickly and successfully got a handful of candies from Wei Ran who seemed to be distracted.
Just by hearing the name, Wei Ran knew he was right.
"Yuhu, who are the people in your family?" Wei Ran simply didn't rush to leave. He sat on the cold snow and asked with a smile.
"His father, his mother, and he has a younger sister!"
Another kid answered the question that Hu Yuhu was supposed to answer, "His sister is still breastfeeding. Her full name is Hu Shixia!"
"This name is really nice, really nice."
Wei Ran let the child who answered the question take the candy from his hand, then he pulled himself together and asked, "Who among you can take me to his house?"
"me!"
Several little guys answered in unison and successfully got the handful of candies that Wei Ran took out again.
Perhaps it was because he was generous enough, or perhaps it was because the military uniform he wore was trustworthy.
These energetic little guys laughed and insisted that he hold Hu Yuhu and sit on the simple sled which was only slightly larger than a bench.
Amidst the noise and laughter of the children, some pulling him together with ropes, some pushing him with their dirty little hands from behind, singing and laughing as they rushed into the small village filled with smoke and tranquility, and brought him to the gate of a fenced courtyard at the edge of the village, closest to the woods.
The fenced yard is not very big. In addition to three adobe houses, there is also a dugout. At the door of the dugout, there are a few reindeer peeking out.
Before Wei Ran could stand up from the sled, two flat-eared dogs pushed open the heavy door curtain and rushed out. They squatted inside the fence and looked at him with their heads tilted, neither barking nor wagging their tails.
After sending the children following him away with a handful of candies again, Wei Ran carried Hu Yuhu to the gate of the fenced courtyard and gently knocked on the open wooden door.
"Who is it?"
With a shout, a woman in a fur coat and a yellow roe deer horn hat pulled aside the curtain and came out carrying a kettle.
"Clang!"
The moment she saw Wei Ran, the kettle in the woman's hand slipped and fell on the steps.
"Brother Wei! Is that Brother Wei?"
Before he finished speaking, the woman had already hurried over and excitedly grabbed Wei Ran's slightly cold hand.
"it's me"
Wei Ran suppressed his excitement and shook hands with the other party. He recognized her at a glance. This woman was none other than the Oroqen girl Unakan!
"Hurry, hurry, hurry! Come in!"
Unakan took Hu Yuhu, who was holding a candy in his mouth, and kicked away the two flat-eared dogs that came up to him, wagging their tails. She warmly called on Wei Ran to follow her inside.
"Where's Brother Hu?"
Wei Ran followed Una Kan and asked nervously as he walked into the house.
“He went to town.”
As Unakan spoke, he had already lifted the thick curtain and motioned Wei Ran to go in while saying, "I heard him say he was going to pick up a friend."
At this point, Una Kan reacted belatedly, "Brother Wei, is he going to pick you up?"
"I don't know that"
As Wei Ran spoke, he bent down and went into this adobe house which looked low in appearance but was exceptionally warm.
These three adobe houses are not very big, but they are barely a semi-underground structure, so although they look low from the outside, they are actually not cramped inside.
At Unakan's signal, Wei Ran followed the mother and son through the main room filled with the aroma of rice porridge, and then passed through a cotton curtain and paper-pasted wall to the warmer east room.
"Hurry! Take off your shoes and get on the kang to warm up!"
As Unakan spoke, she had already placed the little Yuhu in her arms on the edge of the kang. She walked to the middle of the room and swiftly opened the door of the brick stove. Then she picked up the kettle on the stove and poured a cup of hot water for Wei Ran.
“This is the gift I brought you.”
As Wei Ran spoke, he unfolded the bundle he had been holding, took out the gifts inside and placed them on the table one by one.
"Brother Wei, what are you doing?" Unakan asked hurriedly, "How do we lead it?"
"For children"
Wei Ran changed the subject immediately, walked to the stroller hanging under the beam of the house, bent down to look at the little one sleeping inside and asked, "Is this your little daughter?"
“Not great”
Una Kan was stunned for a moment and stopped shirking the responsibility. She was not dissatisfied with Wei Ran's stupid question, but introduced her gently, "Her name is Shixia, Hu Shixia."
"What a nice name," Wei Ran couldn't help but say.
"We are not well educated, so we borrowed the names of these two children from them." Unakan smiled and sighed, "It can be considered a thought."
Wei Ran also smiled. He naturally knew who Unakan was talking about "they".
"This is our son Yuhu"
Unakan hugged his son who had run to his feet and was a little introverted, "This is Uncle Wei, hurry up and call for help."
"Wei Huhu"
Yu Hu, who was only five or six years old and seemed to have a slight stutter, shouted timidly.
"Good boy"
Wei Ran smiled gently, took off the canvas bag that was still hanging on his shoulder and handed it to the other party, "These candies are all yours, take them and eat them!"
"Take it. No need to be polite to your Uncle Wei."
Una Kan nodded with a smile, and Hu Yuhu then took the canvas bag handed to him by Wei Ran with a smile.
"Brother Wei, what are you doing?"
Unakan hesitated for a moment, "Just came down from the front line?"
"Oh, yes."
Wei Ran nodded, took the glass of water that was poured for him and sat on the edge of the kang. He grabbed a handful of Galaha from a small basket beside him and played with it in his hand while saying, "I came by to see you guys. How are you two doing?"
"Okay, you're fine."
Unakan sat on a chair beside the table, rocking the scooter gently while saying, "Since we wiped out the bandits, my husband and I have been given 16 mu of good land.
When we have free time, we go hunting in the woods. We have two deer and a mule. Life is getting better day by day."
"That's good"
Wei Ran sighed, and after a long silence, he asked carefully, "Are you two still in contact with them?"
Hearing this, Una Kan was also silent for a moment before speaking, "No, it's been so many years, and the whereabouts of Shopkeeper Yang and his family remain unknown. We even sneaked to the Russian territory across the river to look for them, but we couldn't find them."
For a moment, the warm adobe house fell silent again. It was so quiet that one could clearly hear the small wooden toys tied to ropes colliding with each other when the stroller was shaking, and the smacking sound of Hu Yuhu's lips when he sucked on the candy.
"Where's Yongwu?"
Wei Ran asked again, "Do you have any news about Yongwu?"
Unfortunately, Unakan shook his head again, "Since the Japanese surrendered, my husband and I have never seen him again. We don't know where he went, or whether he is still alive."
As we were talking about this despairing topic, a crisp crack of a whip was heard from outside the paper-pasted window.
"He is back!"
Upon hearing this, Unakan immediately stood up and trotted out with the little fellow Hu Yuhu, saying loudly, "Old Hu, guess who's here?"
"Are there guests at home?" Hu Bazhi's voice also came from outside.
However, before Wei Ran, who had also stood up, walked out of the warm east room, he heard another man's voice coming from outside.
"Brother Hu, how about I wait outside?"
When Wei Ran heard this, he felt his heartbeat quicken. He had already recognized who this person was!
Why is he here?
While thinking about this question, Wei Ran had already lifted the cotton curtain and walked out of the east room. He looked at Hu Bazhi, who was shivering and had just stepped into the main room, and at Li Sui'an, who was behind him, carrying a bundle in his hands and a long roll of cloth on his back!
"Brother Wei!" After a brief moment of stunned silence, both Hu Bazhi and Li Sui'an recognized Wei Ran who was staring at them in a daze!
"Wangchuan, Brother Hu." Wei Ran suppressed his excitement and greeted them.
"It's really Brother Wei! You're still alive?!"
Hu Bazhi walked over excitedly, looked Wei Ran up and down, kneaded his arms and shoulders, and even patted his thighs. He was completely relieved when he confirmed that Wei Ran was alive and well.
But Wei Ran stared at Li Sui'an in a daze, watching his empty right hand and the sleeve swinging casually as he walked.
"you"
Wei Ran subconsciously took a few steps forward, reached out and grabbed Li Sui'an's right sleeve and moved his hand upwards, but until he touched his shoulder, he still didn't touch his arm!
"fine"
Li Sui'an smiled peacefully, but did not intend to explain.
"Hurry! Hurry! Come in and get on the kang to warm up!" Hu Bazhi called out at the right time.
Hearing this, Wei Ran also reacted and hurriedly called Li Sui'an to go into the east room together.
"You three brothers, get on the kang and drink and chat."
As Unakan was talking, she had already brought a kang table and placed it at the head of the kang, and then one by one brought in a pot of pork stewed with vermicelli, a large bowl of pork skin jelly, a plate of fried peanuts, a plate of tofu with green onions, a plate of sliced salted duck eggs, a plate of stewed fish, and a porcelain pot of sorghum wine that had been heated in advance.
"Come on! Let's have a drink first!"
As Hu Bazhi spoke, he had already picked up the porcelain pot and filled four wine bowls. He also said, "Wife, sit down and drink with us. Brother Wei and Brother Li are not outsiders!"
"Then I'll drink with you!"
Unakan was still the quick and decisive Oroqen girl. Before she finished speaking, she had picked up the porcelain bowl, clinked it with everyone else, and then drank it all in one gulp without any delay.
"Brother Wei, how did you find our place?" Hu Bazhi put down his wine bowl and asked curiously, "Also, are you going to Chaozhen to fight the American devils?"
"yes."
Wei Ran let Yu Hu fill his wine bowl for him, "I asked around and finally found you. I just happened to have some free time so I came over to take a look. It's Wangchuan..."
"Brother Wei, the Japanese have been driven away, and the new China has stood up. Just ask me to follow you."
Li Sui'an took the wine bowl that was also filled by Yu Hu and clinked it with Wei Ran's. He smiled and said, "I returned to Sichuan after the Japanese surrendered. I had a boy last year. Now his name is Li Wangchuan. My wife and I had a fight over this name."
"The girl from the Ma family, Ma Qinghe?" Wei Ran asked subconsciously.
Unexpectedly, when this question was asked, Li Sui'an's expression froze for a moment, then he drank the wine in the bowl, lowered his head and patted his thigh. After a moment of silence, he said, "She didn't survive. She died in the spring of 45. Alas!"
“Take a sip”
In the end, Wei Ran had no choice but to pick up the porcelain pot himself and help Li Sui'an refill the wine bowl.
Bringing everyone back to the silence of the war and pain, four coarse porcelain wine bowls clinked together again. This bowl of wine was for those who did not survive.
"Where's Xiaobai? Bai Yuguang"
Wei Ran asked cautiously, "Did he survive?"
"no"
Li Sui'an shook his head again. "Back then, he and I were injured and sent back to the Ma family to recuperate. When we woke up, we heard the news that you had died in the battle at Shaying River."
Li Sui'an took the cigarette handed to him by Wei Ran and lit it, then continued, "After my injuries healed, Qinghe and I took Xiaobai and his wife to Yan'an. After staying there for a while, we joined the cavalry regiment of the New Fourth Army's Fourth Division."
At this point, Li Sui'an shuddered involuntarily, "In 41, our cavalry regiment ran into the th Cavalry Division on the west side of the Jinpu Road."
"Danglang"
Wei Ran didn't hold the lighter firmly in his hand and dropped it on the table.
"noob."
Li Sui'an sighed, "Xiaobai and I met a lot of acquaintances, especially a cavalryman from the Ma family, who is actually the cousin of Captain Ma Jintao. Xiaobai... Xiaobai lost his knife, so he asked the Ma family to hack him to death."
"Because of his father?" Wei Ran asked after a long silence.
Li Sui'an shook his head, not knowing whether he was denying it or just didn't know. "After he died, his wife jumped into the river out of frustration, leaving behind a baby who was still breastfeeding. In the end, Qinghe found a way to send the baby back to the Ma family and let Jinyu's sister take care of him."
Li Sui'an filled the bowl with wine and drank it all in one gulp. Then he patted the shoulder without an arm and said, "In 44, a few days before the Frost Descent, our cavalry regiment encountered the th Cavalry Division. I lost an arm and was gradually transferred out of the cavalry regiment. Later, Qinghe also died. After the Japanese surrendered, I simply returned home."
At this point, Li Sui'an forced a smile and said, "In 48, my family arranged a marriage for me. Do you still remember the Miss Zhou that my third brother liked?"
"Remember," Wei Ran nodded.
"She introduced me to her. She's her distant cousin. Her father also went to Sichuan to fight in the war and didn't come back alive."
Li Sui'an put out his cigarette, held up his wine bowl and said in a daze, "Last winter, that woman gave birth to a son for me. I named him Wangchuan, but she was not happy about it, and we had a big fight."
"You won the argument?"
Wei Ran asked with a smile, and at the same time couldn't help wiping the tears from the corners of his eyes.
“I didn’t win the argument”
Li Sui'an laughed at himself and said, "After all, I lost an arm. A tiger in trouble is bullied by a dog, and a phoenix in trouble is no better than a chicken.
I was beaten up by that fierce woman and finally my wish came true, and the name Li Wangchuan was written in the family tree."
At this point, Li Sui'an picked up the wine bowl and looked at Wei Ran, "You still remember, I said at the beginning that if I could return to Sichuan alive, I would open a grain store."
"Remember"
Wei Ran nodded, picked up his wine bowl, clinked it with Li Sui'an and Hu Bazhi, and asked before drinking it all, "Is it on?"
"It's open now, and it's still called Cang Bing Zhai."
Li Sui'an also drank it all in one gulp, then picked up a large piece of vermicelli with chopsticks and put it into his mouth, chewing it in big mouthfuls, while saying vaguely, "I promised you that if you go, you can eat as much food as you want in my grain store, and I won't charge you any money."
“That’s good.”
Wei Ran smiled and asked the question that Hu Bazhi wanted to ask but didn't have time to ask, "Sui'an, what are your plans for coming this time?"
“I’m here to deliver a letter.”
Li Sui'an said as he pulled the bundle beside him to his legs, motioning Wei Ran to help untie the bundle, then took out a bulging envelope and handed it to Hu Bazhi, "In 46, the old man of the Ma family passed away, and the Ma family was also scattered. Jin Yu's third sister Zhao Jinlan took Xiao Bai and his wife's child, as well as her own son, and was escorted by Old Bai to seek refuge with the girl from the Yang family."
"This was sent by the shopkeeper?!"
Una Kan suddenly became excited. "Where is she? My husband and I have been trying so hard to find her family in the past two years!"
"No"
Li Sui'an sighed, "This thing was sent to my house by someone before Sister Jinlan left the Ma family in 46. It contains some photos. I found these things this summer when I was sorting out Qinghe's belongings. I thought of sending them to you, and I also wanted to visit Jinyu's grave by the way."
Before he finished speaking, Unakan had already opened the bulging envelope and poured all the photos inside onto the kang.
After taking a curious look, Wei Ran immediately recognized that these were the photos he had taken of the anti-Japanese fighters, Tian Xiaohu, Hongxia, the Qiu brothers, Unakan and others.
But now, the photos from that year have finally been developed, but many of the people in the photos are no longer with us.
“We were so young back then.”
Unakan picked up a photo and murmured, but then tears as big as beans rolled down from the corners of her eyes.
She was not in the black and white photo, but there were Miss Hongxia, Tian Xiaohu, Yang Shiyi, Zhao Jinyu, Hu Bazhi and Cui Da Huzi.
"Mom, don't cry, eat candy."
Hu Yuhu came over, hugged Unakan and stuffed a piece of candy that Wei Ran had given her into her mouth. Then he used his chubby little hands to wipe the hot tears from the corners of Unakan's eyes.
"Don't cry, Mom is happy."
Unakan wiped her tears and picked up the photos one by one. She taught Yuhu to recognize the young people in the photos and told him the stories of what happened that year in a soft voice.
"They were all such good guys, why didn't they survive?"
Hu Bazhi sighed while pinching a photo, and then pointed at the bearded man Cui in the photo, "Brother Wei, do you remember what the bearded man's name is?"
"If I remember correctly, his name is Cui Shouchun?" Wei Ran answered subconsciously.
"That's right"
Hu Bazhi picked up the wine bowl and took a sip. "I, Hu Bazhi, have never had a name since I was born. The year the Japanese surrendered, Unakan said he wanted to give me a name, but I was lazy and used Big Beard's name."
"So your name is Hu Shouchun now?" Wei Ran asked.
"right"
Hu Bazhi stroked his son's head and said, "My son's name is Hu Yuhu, Yu from Zhao Jinyu and Hu from Tian Xiaohu. My daughter's name is Hu Shixia, Shi from Yang Shiyi and Xia from Song Hongxia."
"Brother Hu, if you have something to say, just say it directly. We are not outsiders."
Wei Ran picked up a peanut and put it into his mouth and said, he had actually guessed something.
"They don't have graves, not even cenotaphs."
Hu Bazhi sighed, "Of those who sacrificed their lives back then, except for the Sun family girl who was buried in the abandoned mine, the rest didn't even have a complete body left.
Xiaohu and Hongxia were beheaded and their bodies were thrown into an ice hole, and their heads were burned by the Japanese.
Brother Wei had seen the body of Cui Da Huzi. When we went back to look for it, it had been taken away by wolves.
There was also Yongwen. No one knew where the Japanese had taken his body. Boss Qiu died together with the Japanese while holding a grenade.
besides"
"There is also Xiao Si'er, his name is Qiu Yongbiao, he has a simple and honest personality, but he is a very accurate shooter."
Wei Ran took over the conversation, "He also detonated a grenade and died together with the Japanese."
Seeing Li Sui'an looking at him, Wei Ran gritted his teeth and continued, "Jin Yu. Jin Yu died in my arms. I stuffed several Russian grenades under his body with my own hands."
"Not even a cenotaph left behind?" Li Sui'an asked in surprise.
"no"
Unakan, with red eyes, hugged Yuhu and sighed, "In fact, ever since the Japanese surrendered and left, my husband and I have wanted to collect the bodies of the Anti-Japanese Allied Forces. However, the mountains were full of bandits who had taken drugs a few years ago, and there were not many bodies to find.
Later we came to terms with it. After all, the Japanese had been driven away and the country was stable. We thought they would be able to sleep peacefully no matter where we buried them. "
"That's good." Li Sui'an sighed, "Let's drink, let's drink."
Hearing this, the other three people raised their wine bowls again and clinked their cups with each other's.
"Let me take another photo with you before you drink too much."
Wei Ran patted the camera hanging around his neck and suggested, "It's rare for us to see each other, how about we take a group photo?"
"Take a picture. I have to take one."
Hu Bazhi said as he looked at the photos covering the kang.
"Where did you shoot it?" Li Sui'an asked more directly.
"Let's go outside to the yard. It's a little dim in this room." Wei Ran said as he was the first to stand up.
"Wife, pick up Shixia." Hu Bazhi called out, put down the wine bowl and followed her down from the kang.
Everyone came to the yard with great interest. Unakan even drove out the reindeer, harnessed the sled, and let the two little guys sit in it.
At the same time, Wei Ran also placed the camera on the backs of the two chairs he brought out. After finding a good angle, he asked Hu Bazhi and his wife and Li Sui'an to stand beside the reindeer sled and pressed the selfie lever.
After successfully taking the first group photo, Wei Ran took another group photo of Hu Bazhi's family of four, took a group photo of the couple, took individual photos of the two children, and even took a group photo of himself and Li Sui'an.
While Hu Bazhi and his wife were moving the chairs and untying the sled, Wei Ran gave Li Sui'an another cigarette and stood by the fence, asking in a low voice with almost certainty, "Sui'an, do you have anything else to do?"
"I can't hide it from Brother Wei"
Li Sui'an sighed, "I actually want to see if I can find the box gun that I lent to Jin Yu back then."
As if afraid that Wei Ran might misunderstand, Li Sui'an added, "That gun belongs to my third brother. Miss Zhou has not been in good health in the past two years. She said that she wanted to build a cenotaph for my third brother before she died, so that they can be buried together after she dies. So."
"The gun is in Qiu Yongwu's possession, and Jin Yu's saber is also in his possession."
Wei Ran sighed, "But no one knows where he went, or even whether he is dead or alive."
"This is what it is."
Li Sui'an sighed, "Forget it, I'll order another gun for Miss Zhou. As long as it can relieve her worries, that's enough."
As he said this, Li Sui'an took off the long cloth strip he had been carrying and handed it to Wei Ran. "I was originally planning to use this thing to exchange for that box gun with Jin Yu. Since... Brother Wei, I'll give you this saber as a keepsake."
"This doesn't look like the saber of the 8th Cavalry Division."
Wei Ran took the long cloth roll and asked, but did not rush to open it.
"No"
Li Sui'an smiled and seemed to say something, but at this moment, everything in front of Wei Ran had been replaced by a thick white light.
This story is basically over.
