Chapter 1876 The Qilin in Danyang, the Evil Exorcism in Jinling

Chapter 1876 The Qilin in Danyang, the Evil Exorcism in Jinling

After many trials, Chen Wenzhe knew that this cup has smooth lines, beautiful cup shape, thin and skimmed cup, smooth water discharge, good heat dissipation, and is not easy to burn hands.

The body of the cup is majestic and upright, full of energy, light and easy to handle.

The bottom of the cup is round enough to stand firmly on the tea table, like a gentleman.

Placed on the tea table, the dragon is majestic, and it is paired with the elegance of blue and white, showing its grandeur and tranquility.

This kind of modern porcelain is also very rare for Chen Wenzhe.

Looking at the various dragon patterns on the porcelain, Chen Wenzhe was still a little moved.

There are stone carvings and moments here. He really didn't expect to see so many exquisite dragon patterns on the stone tools.

Of course, this is a stone carving factory, not a dragon pattern stone carving factory, so many moments here are not dragon patterns, but there is no shortage of divine beasts.

For example, the stone inscription of the ancient mythical beast "dispelling evil spirits" should be a specialty of Jinling.

Among the many Jinling specialties, the one that best embodies the image of the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties is a miraculous and mighty stone carving - to ward off evil spirits.

Exorcising evil spirits is a sacred animal in ancient tomb towns. It looks like a unicorn without horns, with wings on both sides, and strong muscles and bones.

The stone carvings to ward off evil spirits in the Southern Dynasties are the most famous. Many of Jinling’s evil warding off are relics of the Southern Dynasties.

Jinling citizens also favor evil spirits, especially jade carvings without tails, which are regarded as a symbol of wealth preservation.

In the homes or cars of many Jinling people, there will be a dragon to ward off evil spirits, suppress disasters and eliminate evil.

Qilin, Tianlu, and evil spirits are the three ancient mythical beasts.

Although everyone has never seen the unicorn, its image can be said to be well-known to every household.

As for Tianlu and evil spirits, it is estimated that everyone is vague.

Pixiu has the head of a dragon, the body of a horse, and feet of a lion. It is shaped like a lion and can fly. It has one horn, two horns, and no horns:

The one-horned one is Qilin; the one with two horns is called Tianlu, also known as "Tianlu", which means "God-blessed Lu";
The one without horns is to ward off evil spirits, as the name suggests, it has the function of "exorcising evil spirits".

These divine beasts (stone beasts) can not only suppress evil and protect the tomb owner, but also mark the level of the cemetery.

Qilin and Tianlu are used in front of the emperor's mausoleum, and evil spirits are used in front of the prince's tomb.

For this distinction, it is still very important, but don't mistake them again!

The stone warding off evil spirits at the entrance of the Six Dynasties Exhibition Hall of Jinling Museum was found in Yanziji, north of the city, and is small in size.

Although its face has been damaged, the exquisite stone carvings of the Southern Dynasties can still be seen.

The Six Dynasties period is the most quintessential period in the history of Jinling, and there are still few relics of the palace city of the Six Dynasties to be found.

However, in the vicinity of Jinling, there are still a large number of stone carvings preserved in the original site of the mausoleum of the Southern Dynasties, which is also a glorious witness of the Six Dynasties in a sense.

The name of evil spirits was first seen in "Hanshu.Records of the Western Regions and The Book of the Later Han Dynasty."Lingdi Ji".

Judging from its image and name, it should be designed to drive away evil.

Putting these symbolic stone beasts in front of the tomb, on the one hand, is used to "guard" the tomb owner, and on the other hand, it undoubtedly shows that the tomb owner has supreme authority and has become the supreme being worn by all people.

As the saying goes: "The Qilin in Danyang, the evil spirits in Jinling".

This refers to the fact that the Xiao family in Danyang became the emperors of the Qi and Liang generations. After the death of the emperors, they did not forget that Ye Luo returned to their roots, and they were buried in Jianling, their hometown, Danyang.

According to the etiquette system of the imperial mausoleum, the gods and beasts guarding the tomb are Tianlu and Qilin.

Jinling is mostly the tombs of the princes of the Qi and Liang dynasties, and the beasts in the tombs in front of the tombs are used to ward off evil spirits.

Therefore, Tianlu and Qilin became the symbols of Danyang, and evil spirits became the symbols of Jinling.

Chen Wenzhe is now seeing this imitation Jinling Xiaohong tomb stone carving to ward off evil spirits. It is 3.2 meters long, 2.84 meters high, 3.35 meters in waist circumference, and weighs more than 15 tons.

The Xiexie field holds its head high, its chest is protruding, its mouth is wide open, its long tongue hangs out, sticking to its chest, its eyes are sharp, it looks forward, and it looks fierce and aggressive.

There are also imitation Xiaojing tombstones to ward off evil spirits, and this number is relatively large.

There are 2 kinds and 3 pieces of stone carvings in front of the Jing tomb, including two stones to ward off evil spirits, facing east and west, with a distance of about 21 meters.

Xibixie was dug out of the ground in 1956, but it was broken and could not be repaired, so it was buried underground again.

Standing in front of these huge evil stone sculptures is naturally very shocking.

However, the stone carvings that shocked Chen Wenzhe the most were not these mythical beasts, but the moment on a large stone wall.

"Is this a fake cliff carving?"

Looking at the huge stone carvings, Chen Wenzhe was dumbfounded.

He didn't expect that, just turning a stone to ward off evil spirits, he saw an even more shocking picture.

You must know that the real cliff carvings are carved on a cliff.

At this time, what he saw was also a replica of the cliff, but it was much smaller in size than the real one.

But that's enough to shock people.

As for why it is shocking, just look at the surrounding mountains, rivers, stone trees, and then look at the pavilions, bridges, corridors, and pavilions, and you will know that this is a copy of a well-known scenic spot.

In the land of China, famous mountains and great rivers, how many historical sites are hidden in inaccessible places.

Located at the foot of Tianjing Mountain in Gansu Province, the cliff carving "Ode to the West" in Yuqiao Gorge is such a little-known thousand-year-old historical site.

Xisaosong Scenic Area is quiet and beautiful, with green hills facing each other, clear streams, and waterfalls connected one after another. Not only are there stone carvings, but it is also a summer resort.

And what is in front of you? This is a shrunken West Narrow Song Scenic Area.

All the scenes in the original scene are here.

For example, the strangeness lies in the mountains, and the beauty lies in the water.

Mountains, water, rocks, and trees all form landscapes;
Pavilions, bridges, corridors and pavilions form an interesting contrast.

On one side are high mountains rising from the ground, and on the other side are patchwork cliffs, with towering old trees and entwined old vines in between.

Between the canyons, it is extremely quiet, and the stream is clear, especially quiet.

What makes people feel "outside the world" is the cliff plank road with different heights.

The simplicity and nature born of the wind and rain seem to have been built by the ancients.

Walking along the mountain stream to the depths of the canyon, it is hard to imagine how the ancients entered it and carved words on the stone wall without this plank road in the past.

During the walk, the footprints of the ancient West Narrow Plank Road on the cliffs still remain.

Especially in the copied Yuqiao Gorge, there are many cliff carvings.

Among them, the most famous is "Ode to the West", which has a history of more than 1800 years, including the inscription on the stele of the famous Chinese painting master Li Keran.

This inscription has been well preserved in the canyon so far, and the re-engraved Han Li calligraphy is displayed on the wall of the exhibition hall at the entrance of the scenic spot.

The entire stone inscription is simple and ancient in writing, beautiful in structure, and powerful in knife technique, which is very rare.

Because "Ode to the West" is located in the Yuqiao Gorge, Yuqiao Gorge is not only one of the core scenic spots of the West Narrow Song Scenic Area, but also famous for it.

On the cliff, the footprints of the ancient Xizao plank road still exist, and there is a stele titled "Ode to Xizao" by Master Li Keran.
