For example, the resolution of LCD is 1K, but the resolution of Apple's display interface can reach 1.5K.
Due to the limitation of the screen, it can only display a 1K resolution, and the high definition of the display interface is wasted.
Apple uses its own Retina screen technology to present a resolution of 1.2K, which is a certain breakthrough.
Neither Samsung nor Asda has such display technology, so the display screens using the same material will only have a 1K resolution, making them less competitive than the iPhone.
OLED screen can solve this dilemma.
OLED screens have higher resolutions, and as technology advances, the resolution can get higher and higher, 2K, 4K, 8K... In the end, it will even waste the screen resolution. For example, if the resolution of an OLED screen is 8K, but the display interface is only 4K, the screen will waste 4K, and the final image will only be 4K.
In other words, the powerful resolution of the OLED screen can exceed the resolution of the display interface.
The resolution of the LCD screen is relatively low, which is lower than the resolution of the display interface.
To put it bluntly, the technology is not enough, so we have to make up for it with materials.
Asda and Samsung cannot compete with Apple, they will use more expensive and better OLED screens to compete with iPhone. When OLED screens become more powerful and have higher resolutions, even higher than Apple's display interface resolution, Apple will compromise and give up the lower-cost LCD screens and embrace OLED screens.
In terms of competition in the mobile phone market, Asda must also adopt OLED screens.
Without the advantage of materials, Asda's mobile phones will never be able to achieve the same clarity as the iPhone.
