I am a nobleman in Spring and Autumn

Chapter 6 Ding!Achievement plus one
Of course Lao Tzu understands "rituals", and he may be the person who understands "rituals" best in the contemporary world except Zhou Shi Gongqing Yin.

That is, Lao Tzu has been in charge of keeping the history of the collection room for a very long time, and he can consult the classics in the storage room anytime and anywhere.

Zhou Li is the foundation of the Zhou royal family. It was first created by Zhou Wen Wang Jichang, and was later improved and carried forward by Zhou Gongdan.

To use more professional terms, the prosperity of the Zhou family called it Zhou Li, and the rules were formed by the art of patriarchal clan.

What's the meaning? It was the Zhou royal family who created etiquette and law as the basis of rule, and then used the enfeoffment system to ensure the stability of their rule.

To put it bluntly, the patriarchal system is the enfeoffment system. At the beginning, there were more than 3000 feudal states. Later, the annexation of princes became less and less, and some princely states perished in the hands of foreign races.

There are not many vassal states that still cling to the Zhou ritual and patriarchal clan, and the state of Lu is the most persistent one among them.

Why is Lu Guo so persistent? The reason is that the state of Lu is regarded as the direct descendant of Zhou Gongdan, and the reason why they were able to establish the state was that the Zhou royal family went back on their word and slandered Emperor Xin's son Wu Geng for rebellion, and destroyed the state of Yan during the Eastern Expedition.

At that time, Duke Zhou was enfeoffed in the homeland of the state of Yan. Since Duke Zhou wanted to stay in Gaojing to assist Emperor Zhou, he asked his eldest son Boqin to take the post on his behalf. He established the State of Lu with the title of "Lu" of Duke Zhou's early fief, and set its capital at Qufu.

The State of Lu was not known for its mighty force from the beginning of its founding. At the beginning, it was neighbors to many foreign countries of the Dongyi system. It could only rely on its identity as the direct descendant of Zhou Gongdan, and frequently mobilized the princes entrusted by the Zhou royal family to help when it was in danger. La.

Now the general situation of the world has been changing again and again, and it is considered to be in a stage of change. Some princes still follow the Zhou rituals, and more countries no longer take the Zhou rituals seriously.

Confucius became an official in the State of Lu, and the State of Lu is such a special country. If you want to compete against Sanhuan, who was born in the official family, you need to grasp the right to interpret "rituals" and use your name to suppress Sanhuan.

"Etiquette is the most important thing, Yao thinks it is very important." Zhiyao said.

Isn't the difference between human beings and other living things just because they know how to restrain their instinctive drives? The existence of "rituals" has a great effect on the difference between humans and animals.

Zhiyao definitely doesn't want to cultivate a bunch of ruthless people, otherwise she won't be able to get their help, but will be tricked again and again.

Seeing that Zhiyao agreed, Confucius became very excited.

However, the etiquette that Zhiyao pursued is not the same as the etiquette that Confucius wanted to master.

Next is the time for the exchange between Confucius and Lao Tzu. The two sides talked about what "ritual" is.

In Confucius' view, propriety is the foundation of a country, and he put forward the views that "propriety is based on the heart" and "commendations with propriety".

So, how can anyone who understands the situation in Lu State not understand that what Confucius wanted was the right to interpret "rituals" and use "rituals" as a weapon to realize his political ambitions.

Being able to hear the conversations of the sages with her own eyes and ears, Zhiyao felt that she had glimpsed some historical fog and understood the background of the theory.

"So that's how Confucian 'rituals' came about?" Zhiyao thought.

Of course Lao Tzu knew what Confucius was going to do, but the emergence of Zhou Li itself was to establish a binding rule for society.

As we talked, we talked about evening at noon.

It is an honor to be able to hear intellectuals discussing, no one leaves in advance, and it is an honor to be able to interject once or twice.

Zhiyao was listening the whole time, looked at the sky and stood up, walked to the side and ordered: "Bring it to eat."

Then you have to run away.

The food needs to be delivered here from Laozhi's property in "Luoyi", and it will take at least two quarters of an hour.

Zhiyao ordered her servants to set up a formation on the side, such as placing some stoves and grills, taking out some cooking utensils, and bringing charcoal.

When everyone saw Zhiyao's actions, they just watched without interfering.

Most of them are nobles, and judging from their ranks, no one is more noble than Zhiyao, not to mention Zhiyao seems to be cooking dinner, even if they take off their pants and pee on the spot, they can only be He stared blankly.

Slowly, Laozi and Confucius stopped talking, and watched Zhiyao's busy with the other six people quietly.

A servant of Lao Zhi’s family had already lit a bonfire. Because there was smoke when the fire was lit, “Zao” brought people over aggressively. When he heard that the smoke here was made by Jin Guozhi, he turned into an apologetic smile and asked if he could help. If you need help, walk away in despair.

That "zao" is the little official, and "Yan" came with him just now.And "阍" is actually the soldiers guarding the city, and "阍人" is the guard of the palace city.

If it's not Jin Guozhi, but if it's someone else who dares to create such a thick smog in the city, he must be fined, and severe punishment is to be caught and whipped in public.

Confucius, who witnessed that scene, wanted to say something, but dared not.

Maintaining the law itself is a part of "propriety". When you meet someone you can't offend, instead of doing anything, you want to know that breaking the law is not a manifestation of the collapse of etiquette.

Of course, Zhiyao didn't break the law, at most she ignored the unspoken rules.

Since there are thatched huts everywhere, fires cannot be lit casually in the city, lest the sparks be blown by the wind and cause fires, causing fires and the like. This is a general rule in any city.

Zhishi's servants brought some clay pots and many food boxes.

The clay pots contained soup, and the food boxes contained some processed meat.

At present, beef is the most expensive meat, not to mention ordinary people, even nobles can't eat beef a few times a year, and then lamb, other meats are not considered mainstream meat, and offal is not eaten at present.

How can a cow be slaughtered for meat?Even in the late Spring and Autumn Period, the animal power used for farming in the Central Plains countries was still horses, that is, horses pulled plows, but Chu State used cattle to pull plows because of the abundance of paddy fields.

So, it's not that cattle cannot be slaughtered, but more people use cattle to pull carts, thinking that they are useful large animals and don't easily slaughter them for meat.

Because there is no case table here in advance, Zhiyao specially ordered some to be brought over just now.

The clay pots were handed out one after another, and when the seals were lifted, a very strong fragrance came out.

"Yangtang, there are stems, what are the stems?" Confucius was very happy to be able to eat mutton soup, especially because it didn't smell too strong of mutton, but instead had a vegetable fragrance.

The staple food was also distributed one by one, and there were chestnuts on top of the millet and rice, which smelled very fragrant, making people appetite just by smelling it.

Then came some beef and mutton that had been roasting for a long time, and even fried steak and stewed lamb chops.

Confucius may be considered to know what kind of vegetables are in yokan, it is clearly wild vegetables!

He was engaged in a business where there was no distinction between teaching and learning. His children went to the Kong family to study, and what they ate was the old Kong's food. This made his wife, Qi Guanshi, very unhappy, and had trouble more than once.

Because there are too many people and too much to eat, didn't the old Kong family try to find food? Therefore, I often go to the wild to look for wild vegetables, and I am very familiar with the taste of wild vegetables.

Of course, there are also many kinds of wild vegetables. The wild vegetables in mutton soup are called bracken, also known as fist vegetables. If eaten in large quantities, they will be poisoned, but occasionally they are very tasty.

Because there are too many meats, there are even barbecues next to it, which makes the scene full of meaty fragrance.

Seeing that Zhiyao sat down again, Lao Tzu asked with a puzzled face, "You, what do you want?"

Who are they and who is Zhiyao? The difference in status is too great.

Nowadays, there is no such saying that "the courteous people must ask for something", and the people who should understand the sophistication should not be understood by young people.

Zhiyao said: "Danzi has learned a lot, and he often travels around the world. Yao asked Danzi to go to Jin Dynasty and stay with me for a few days?"

This is true. Even though I am 70 years old, I still run around all day long. I just went to Qin State several times.

Qin State's reputation among the princes is very bad, Lao Tzu is even willing to go to Qin State, and if he is invited to Jin State by the blood of the Zhi family, he should not refuse if he is a bit forced.

The rest of the people all looked envious of Zhiyao's battle to invite Lao Tzu, but Lao Tzu was very distressed.

"What Dan has learned is not suitable for Jin, this..." Lao Tzu knows a lot of things, and every kind of knowledge he presents is not what Jin State pursues.

There are only two pursuits of the Jin State of military fruitism, one is production, the other is force, and the others are secondary, and it can even be said that there is no difference between having and not having.

"Knowledge is learning, learning and knowing is the most important thing!" Zhiyao actually knows that Laozi is a master in "management", but Laozi himself does not know it.

However, Lao Tzu really didn’t want to go to the Jin State because he hated all kinds of conquests, and he definitely couldn’t like the Jin State, which has repeatedly resorted to force to maintain hegemony over other countries.

And Lao Tzu also has a big ambition, which is to discover that Qin State can do a lot, and wants to do the great cause of "transformation of Hu", teach Qin people to understand the Hu of Qin people, and even Qin people themselves.

Lao Tzu, who didn’t want to go to the state of Jin, saw that Zhiyao was very sincere, and there was such a big battle today, and he refused to succeed, so he could only reluctantly agree, but what he thought was: “I’ll go for a while, and then go again.” That's right."
