Chapter 473

While Shi Chonggui was building Zide Palace and other palaces in Kaifeng Prefecture, Tokyo, and arranging palace people for entertainment, Zhang Zhao was actually building a lot in Liangzhou.

In mid-March, the Da Ci'en Temple in Liangzhou, covering an area of more than [-] mu, was finally completed after three years for the practice of Zhang Zhao's biological mother, the Song family, and also for Zhang Zhao's religious innovation.

Zhang Zhao also deliberately built a nine-story, fifteen-foot-high pagoda at the highest point in the temple, all made of red and gold bricks, and named it Baozhao Pagoda.

From the beginning of the first month of this year, Zhang Zhao began to gather religious leaders and painters from Anxi, Beiting, Qingtang, Xiasui, and even the land of Xiajiasi to Liangzhou, and began to create the picture of the true wheel-turning holy king and the big picture together. Holy scriptures.

At the same time, Dayun Temple was merged into Daci'en Temple, and Confucian classics were started to explain Buddhist classics.

The so-called True Wheel-Turning Holy King's Map of Subduing Demons is the most important thing in Zhang Zhao's Buddhist innovation.

This is an atlas with hundreds of Buddhist stories drawn.

Most of the Buddhist stories collected in it are Sakyamuni, King Bosni, King Ashoka, etc.

But there are still nearly [-]% of the stories, which are new creations. They are about my wheel-turning sage King Zhang Fawang going all the way west, defeating all kinds of evil spirits and heretics, and then in the Vulture Palace of Vulture Mountain in Tianzhu, he was enlightened by the Buddha s story.

The painting of the True Wheel-Turning Saint King Fumo is the most important part of it. The volume is more than ten meters long, and there are corresponding murals, which have been carved in the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, Shazhou.

The scriptures of the great sage subduing demons are the literal embodiment of the picture of the true wheel-turning holy king subduing demons.

It includes the sutras chanted in Sanskrit, the narration of the story, and the interpretation of the sutras by the wheel-turning king.

Buddhism at this time is actually in a very confused period.

Prior to this, the philosophical, spiritual speculation and teachings of Buddhism all came from Tianzhu, because Buddhism originated from Tianzhu.

At this time, the Central Plains Buddhism still believed in the authority of Tianzhu Buddhism.

So that from the Tang to the Five Dynasties, the monks in the Central Plains and the Silla monks in Haidong, no matter how difficult and dangerous they were, had to go to Tianzhu one after another. This was also the source of motivation for Tang Xuanzang to marry the scriptures.

However, Tianzhu Buddhism is now on the eve of extinction, not to mention new classics, even new interpretations of old classics have been unable to appear.

And there is another problem, that is, Buddhism rooted in Tianzhu, its cultural attributes at this time are still Tianzhu style.

This is also an important reason for the extermination of Buddhism before and after the Three Wus and One Sect.

Buddhism before the Song Dynasty was in conflict with the Chinese culture of the Central Plains, and it was very violent. Even the Brahmin caste system tried to spread to the Central Plains.

Historically, after experiencing the thunder storm of Zhou Shizong Guo Rong and the strong infiltration and innovation of the Song Dynasty scholar-bureaucrats, they became the Chinese Buddhism that we see in later generations.

Of course, in fact, at this time, the revision of Buddhist thought by the Han people had already begun.

The various sects that emerged in the Tang and Five Dynasties were the beginning of innovation.

However, Zhang Zhao can't wait that long. The Buddhism in the Central Plains can be handed over to literati and bureaucrats to slowly correct it, but Longyou in Hexi can't be delayed like this. This is related to Zhang Zhao's plan to expand westward.

"My lord, this is the figure of 32 lotus flowers made by Master Tongxiu."

Specifically for Zhang Zhao, Huixing monk Yang He, who was in charge of Buddhist affairs, and Long Bian, who was in charge of the monks, came over hand in hand.

They also held a portrait in their hands, which was a Buddha with eyebrows and eyes very similar to Zhang Zhao.

The Buddha was wearing a black monk robe and holding a Zen staff, floating on the misty lake, surrounded by lotus flowers in full bloom. It seems that the majesty reveals a charitable temperament, which is the solemnity of Buddhism.

The master Tongxiu who painted the painting, whose lay surname is Zhou, is said to be a descendant of Zhou Fang, the founder of Zhou's family of Buddhist paintings.

Of course, there is nothing to say about the painting skills, but what Zhang Zhao is most satisfied with is the Buddha's eyebrows and eyes.

This is not to say that Zhang Zhao is very satisfied with the painting, but because before that, the Buddhist images of Buddha and Arhat were mostly Tianzhu style.

Some of the Buddha statues that we see in later generations look strange because they did not follow the facial features of the Han people.

The reason why Zhang Zhao asked Master Tongxiu to make 32 lotus figures, and he still used them for review, is that from now on, the eyebrows and eyes of Hexi Buddha statues must be drawn according to the appearance of Han people.

That kind of portrait of a foreign monk can also be painted, but only for Shakyamuni and other people who are originally from India.

"Dharma King, disciples, etc. reviewed the scriptures of the great sage subduing demons, and found that the location of our Liang country should be the place of Dharma.

The west of Great Liang should be the place for preaching the Dharma, the south of Great Liang should be the place for protecting the Dharma, and the land in the Central Plains should be the place for good Dharma.

It is divided into four places, and the holy king of reincarnation is divided into four corresponding body Buddhas to save all living beings. "

Long Bian was extremely respectful, treating Zhang Zhao exactly as a Buddhist disciple would see the Buddha.

The so-called four places are proposed by Zhang Zhao, the four images of Buddhism created by a group of eminent monks from the Liang Kingdom.

According to the explanation of the scriptures of the great sage subduing demons, after Zhang Zhao was taught by the Buddha in the Lingjiu Palace of Lingjiu Mountain in Tianzhu, Buddhism in the world has changed.

The Dharma in the land of Tianzhu has declined, and it has lost the foundation of becoming the origin of Buddhism. It should be a place to protect the Dharma. After the reincarnation sage king established a sect, he would send believers to protect the Dharma.

To the west of Daliang, that is, to the west of Hezhong, Persia, Daqin, etc., they don't know the Buddha's compassion and the heart of saving the world, so they must let people go to teach the Dharma, for the purpose of spreading the Dharma.

Of course, in the process of spreading the Dharma, there may be some stubborn villains, or even mortals transformed by heavenly demons, who will block it, so the Holy King of the Wheel has the power to organize monks and soldiers to spread the Dharma.

The land of the Central Plains is the land of good law, which was proposed by Zhang Zhao. The attitude of Chinese culture and religion is what Zhang Zhao most supports, so it is called the land of good law.

It means that the Dharma here, no matter how it is understood or interpreted, can be classified as a good word, which is up to them to decide.

This approach avoids exaggerating Zhang Zhao's religious attributes in the Central Plains, and also sets the tone for Hexi Buddhism to go west.

It is easy to understand the place of Dharma. This is the birthplace of the new Dharma, the birthplace of the wheel-turning king, and the ancestral home of Dharma after the decline of Tianzhu.

Seeing that Zhang Zhao agreed, Long Bian continued to explain: "Among the four places, the Dharma-rectifying place should be saved by the supremely compassionate Dharma king, the Dharma-protecting place should be saved by the supremely virtuous Dharma king, and the Dharma-transmitting place should be saved by the supremely virtuous Dharma king. .

These three dharma kings are all transformed by the dharmakaya of the reincarnating holy king, and are called the three dharmakayas of the holy king. "

Zhang Zhao nodded. This was more in line with his expectations. After thinking about it, Zhang Zhao decided to add a Dharma Body.

"Set the grasslands in the north and south of the desert as the land of the Dharma, and the Supreme Dharma King Purdue will determine Tengger as the Dharma King of Great Wisdom, as the head of all Dharma Bodies.

From now on, we must call on the people of the grasslands to uphold the law and obey the law, so that they understand that they have an important responsibility to spread the law and protect the law.

In addition, quickly get out the system of monks and officials in Qingtang and grasslands. In the future, there will be no monks and officials in Liangguo and the Central Plains, and all monks and officials will move to Qingtang and grasslands.

Under the four dharma bodies of the holy king, there are living Buddhas, great virtues, legal systems, and monks.

Living Buddhas are searched by themselves from the place of Dharma. They are recognized by the golden seal and gold book of the Holy King of the Wheel. "

I am Zhang Tianwang, but I can understand enough to play with sutures, and the golden bottle Zhizhi system has come out.

And this is obviously that he does not interfere with specific teachings, but I want to be the head of Buddhism.

By the way, Sakyamuni was thrown into the cold palace, and the wheel-turning sage became the interpreter of secular Buddhism.

Since then, the sturdy warriors on the Qingtang and the grassland will be urged by Buddhism to advance towards Tianzhu, the Caspian Sea, and the Black Sea.

This is also Zhang Zhao's idea of trying to solve the unsolvable circle of death struggle between the grasslands of the land of China and the farming people.

The fundamental reason why the grassland people want to go south is that the life on the grassland is too difficult.

If the population is too large to support them, they will go south to plunder to survive; if there are too many disasters, they will go south.

In the end, it developed to the point where it was a bad life, and it was hard to live anyway, so I simply took a gamble and went south to plunder.

Winning the young model in the clubhouse, losing going to the sea... Ugh!Do not!If you lose, move your head.

For the Central Plains Dynasty, the grassland was too wide and too big. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty beat the Huns so badly that he could not eliminate them or rule the grassland for a long time. Tang Taizong tried to assimilate while fighting, but it still didn't work.

It was Zhang Zhao's turn, and he was going to try to divert the water from the misfortune.

As a khan, he became the Roman emperor of the chiefs of the steppe tribes and their pope through Buddhism.

Then, every ten years or so, they would lead these Kuhahas to march westward, to serve as lords to the Russians and Germans to the west.

Perhaps this is a good path.

The state is a little bit wrong today, I missed a few hundred words, and everyone will just read it, and I can't concentrate.
