Chapter 322 Sun Wukong

Chapter 322 Sun Wukong

Since occupying Shuilian Cave, the stone monkey has feasted with the group of monkeys every day, but one day it suddenly felt sad, and the stone monkey couldn't help but shed tears.

All the monkeys hurriedly bowed, "What's bothering you, Your Majesty?"

The stone monkey said, "Although I'm happy, I'm still a little short-sighted, so I'm troubled."

The stone monkey looked at the monkeys and said: "Although we are not under the law of the king of men today, and we are not afraid of the prestige of beasts, but in the future we will be old and bloody, and will be under the watchful eye of Hades. Within heaven and man?"

"When I think of this, I feel sad. The sky is high and the earth is vast, and there are countless scenery that I have never seen. If in a few hundred years I will turn into dust and become one body with vegetation, mud and rocks, then this life will not be happy enough. .”

When all the monkeys heard this, they hid their faces and wailed, for they were all afraid of sinking in the world of mortals after death.

At this moment, a monkey jumped out, and the monkey shouted sharply: "If your majesty is so far-sighted, you will be considered to have the heart to seek the Tao. Today, there are only gods, immortals, and Buddhas under the jurisdiction of the king of hell, my lord. Why don't you go and visit them, you will surely live a few more years."

The stone monkey said happily, "Where do these three people live?"

The ape said: "It should be in the world of Yan Fu, in the fairy mountain and blessed land."

The ape monkey didn't give the exact location, but the stone monkey still smiled and said: "Tomorrow I will bid farewell to you and go down the mountain. You will travel far and wide, and you must visit these three, so that you can learn to live forever and be at ease."

The Monkey King left as soon as he said he would, abandoning the monkey tribe all over the mountain, and using a bamboo raft as a boat, he went to the sea to search for the fairy mountain.

The stone monkeys have never learned magic, so they have to suffer from the sun and the wind every day. In addition, it is difficult for the bamboo raft to move in the sea. The sea is so vast that sometimes no one can be seen for several months.

But the stone monkey never gave up, taking a nap at most when thirsty, hungry and tired.

Sometimes he would go to the human city to look for immortals, and he would not be offended when someone scolded him, and he would not be angry if someone beat him, just as a gift.

After more than ten years like this, the stone monkey came to Yixian Mountain along the direction of the wind. The wind was also a bit strange, and the bamboo raft kept spinning around the stone monkey. If there was no such wind, the stone monkey would probably have to travel for decades.

In the forest, a woodcutter showed the stone monkey the way: "This mountain is called Lingtai Fangcun Mountain. In the mountain there is a slanting moon and three stars cave. There is a fairy in that cave, named Patriarch Subhuti. The disciples of the patriarch are countless. I see that there are still 40 to [-] people practicing under him. You follow that small road and go south for seven or eight miles, and you will be at his home."

The stone monkey wanted to invite the woodcutter to go with him, but the woodcutter shirked that there was still an old mother to take care of at home, so the stone monkey went out of the deep forest alone, found a path, crossed a hillside, about seven or eight miles away, and saw a cave. I saw a stone plaque standing on the top of the cliff, about three feet high and eight feet wide, with a row of ten characters on it, which read "Lingtai Fangcun Mountain, Slanting Moon and Three Star Cave".

The stone monkey was very excited, but he didn't dare to knock on the door because he was afraid of disturbing the immortal Qingxiu. He jumped on the top of the pine branch first, picked pine nuts, ate them, and played.

Not long after, there was only a sound of yah, the cave door opened, and a fairy boy came out of it, and the boy shouted: "Who is harassing here?"

The stone monkey hurriedly jumped down from the tree, stepped forward and bowed and said: "Xiantong, I am a disciple who visits Taoism to learn from immortals. I only ask my master to take me in, and I absolutely dare not disturb you here."

Xiantong smiled and said, "Are you a Taoist?"

The stone monkey said: "I came here just to visit Taoism, and I ask the immortals to be merciful and accept me as a disciple.

The boy said: "My master just stayed at the bed and preached on the altar. Before he told the reason, he taught me to come out and open the door. He said that there is a practitioner outside, so he can go to receive him. It must be you."

The stone monkey smiled and said, "I am the only immortal seeker outside the cave. It is me, and it can only be me."

The boy said, "Then come with me."

The stone monkey was fully dressed, and followed the boy into the depths of the cave to watch. Seeing an old man standing on the altar, the stone monkey hurriedly bowed: "Master! Master! This disciple seeks the Tao wholeheartedly, and I hope the master will take him in."

Patriarch Bodhi said: "Which family are you from? Let's say that the name of the village is clear, and it will not be too late to worship."

The Monkey King said: "Disciple Dongsheng Shenzhou Aolai Country Huaguo Mountain Water Curtain Caveman."

Patriarch Bodhi said: "Your Dongsheng Shenzhou? The place to go is here, separated by two great seas. It is really not easy for you to find this place. Since you are here, I will accept you as a disciple, but you may worship me as your disciple." division?"

The Monkey King kowtowed and said, "I have traveled across the oceans and traveled far and wide. It has been more than ten years since I visited this place. It is really not easy for me to seek the way. I also ask the Patriarch to tell my disciples, will I gain longevity if I worship you as my teacher?"

Patriarch Bodhi laughed and said, "I live the same life as the heaven and the earth, and share the same brilliance with the sun and the moon. Is this considered a long life?"

The stone monkey saluted and said, "Meet the teacher!"

Patriarch Bodhi said again: "What's your surname, what's your name?"

The stone monkey wanted to answer that he was anonymous, but a very familiar and vague voice sounded in the stone monkey's mind, and the stone monkey said, "My name is Xiao Shitou."

Patriarch Bodhi frowned and said, "This name is really indecent. Let me choose one for you, Master."

Patriarch Bodhi thought: If Pangu is the ancestor and Nuwa is the mother, this monkey happens to be of the third generation, and the monkey should be named after its grandson.

"How about the surname Sun?" Patriarch Bodhi asked.

"Okay," said the stone monkey, "Then please give me a name, Master."

"At the beginning of Hongmeng, there was no surname, and Wukong was the one who broke the obstinacy. How about calling you Sun Wukong together?"

"Good name." Sun Wukong jumped up with a smile and said, "Thank you, Master, for giving me the name."

"Come with me, I will preach for you." Patriarch Bodhi brought Monkey King into the cave.

Then the Patriarch sat on the altar, called all the immortals, and gave a lecture on the Dao.

The three thousand books of the Dao have something in common, and the Tao can also be talked about by the Buddha.

The sage opened his mouth and the sky was full of hype, and golden lotuses sprung from the ground, and the scene was myriad.

Sun Wukong was listening to the talk, he was so happy that he scratched his ears and cheeks, smiled brightly, and couldn't help dancing with his hands and feet.

Suddenly, the patriarch saw him and asked Sun Wukong to say, "You are down here, why are you dancing wildly and not listening to me?"

Wukong said: "I listen to the lecture sincerely. I am overjoyed when I hear the master's wonderful voice, so I don't feel this enthusiasm. I hope the master will forgive me!"

The patriarch said: "Since you know the wonderful sound, let me ask you, how long have you been in the cave?"

Wukong said: "My disciple was ignorant at first. I don't know how many seasons there are. I just remember that there is no fire under the stove. I often go to the back of the mountain to collect firewood. I saw a mountain of good peach trees. I ate peaches there seven times."

"Seven years!" Patriarch Bodhi looked at Sun Wukong and said, "I will teach you some Taoism today."

The patriarch said: "There are 360 side doors in the word 'Tao', all of which have positive results. I don't know which one you want to learn?"

Sun Wukong said: "Based on the meaning of respecting the teacher, the disciples will listen wholeheartedly, as long as they can live forever."

(Recently, I was reading Journey to the West, only to realize that at the beginning of the original book, Monkey King has a very good temper, the kind who can't fight back when hit or scolded.)
