Chapter 4 Day [-], The Hard Climb

However, fortunately, it is still there, which finally makes me feel better.The smoke is gone, washed away, if even the lighter is washed away, I may not be able to bear the blow.Fortunately, it's still there.

This made me motivated all of a sudden. Although I really want to lie down and rest now, I don't allow it myself. I have to climb to the top of the mountain as soon as possible, at least to understand the surrounding situation first.

The seemingly flat mountain road made me miserable.I fell countless times because of loose stones.Because it was washed and loosened by the heavy rain last night, stones kept rolling down from the top of the mountain, almost hitting my head several times.But this time it was not followed by bad luck.

When the sun was westward, I finally exhausted my last bit of strength and finally climbed to the top of the mountain.Yes, it did climb.In the last few hundred meters, I could no longer stand and walk, and the muscles in my legs beat like motors.Panting heavily, I felt like I was standing on a plateau with thin air.

The top of the mountain is very open, without a single tree, only some shrubs are tenaciously living.

The top of this mountain is about the size of a football field.The uneven ground made it very difficult for me to walk.Finally, I came to the top of a boulder on the top of the mountain.

The sunset and the red sky woke me up.Time to find a place to spend the night.I will never spend the night in a cave again in my life.At least now there is no need to worry about whether to go up or down the mountain.

Because I have no strength to go down, I can only choose to spend the night here.Coincidentally, as soon as I climbed down the boulder, I found a recess under the boulder, which was almost two people wide.

Check it out, it's dry.It seems that the place to sleep tonight has been solved, and I am quite satisfied.Next, luck came again, and I found some dry ones. Although they were baptized by the heavy rain last night, they were very dry in the sun today, at least I felt so.

However, the other branches used to maintain the bonfire are relatively wet, so I have no choice but to pick them up first.With no food, I had to find a watering hole and drink my fill first.

At this time, there is no other choice.Just to keep me alive.Hold it until someone comes to me.

At the moment I am very angry.These vines, which I think are very dry, are very wet inside, and there is no way to ignite them.It was completely dark.I have no chance to look for other ignition materials.

Fortunately, the fire finally heard my prayers and burned.

I put those wet branches around the edge, hoping to ignite them before the vines burned out.

In the end I was right, and the fire was lit.In the flames, my heart began to settle down.

Lying under the rock, I can still see the twinkling stars in the sky.

Looking at them, I was exhausted and fell into a dream.
