Desert Island Survival Diary

Chapter 54, Day 47, Building the Shack

Chapter 54 No.40 Seven days, building a shack
I originally wanted to go out for a walk today.

But when I got up in the morning, I found that it was windy outside, and the weather began to change. The clouds were flying up, which should be a sign of rain again.

The original plan was to search around unexplored places nearby, but the weather suddenly appeared, and it happened that the shed for the little wild boars had not been built yet. If it rained, they would definitely not be able to survive the rainy night. So I can only temporarily cancel my plan.

There are also a lot of jobs in the small courtyard, so I can only take advantage of the rain and do some work to prepare for the rainy day.

The little wild boar’s shed must be built, but I also want to save materials as much as possible. After all, I took all these materials down from the boat.

Now that I have an axe, I can easily get some saplings, and I can even cut down a small coconut tree easily.

I need to build a shed that will not leak and provide some protection from the wind and heat, so I am off now with my axe.

I'm going to get a few small trees back as the main supporting frame of the shed.

The ax is really sharp, and with its weight, the little tree was chopped off by me in just three axes.

Soon, with little effort, I had six young trees.

It's funny to say, I also did a very stupid thing in the middle and made a big mistake!
As I said, I need some coconut leaves, so when I saw the huge coconut tree, my heart was moved, I swung my ax and chopped down the coconut tree desperately, and then I almost died! !
Several coconuts fell...almost killed me! !

Maybe God took pity on me once again, who was already poor and down-and-out. A few coconuts fell around and didn't hit me.

It frightened me half to death, and the ax in my hand almost fell.

I didn't even realize the danger, I didn't even try to cover my head before the coconut fell.

If it falls on my head...and is seen by people later, I think it will be successfully elected as No.1 of the annual trick to death...

Later I chose a small coconut tree without coconuts and chopped it up. Coconut leaves are the best material for the roof.

The reason for cutting down the tree is because I have a shadow on climbing the coconut tree, I still remember when I first came, just to make a roof for the shelter, I fell off the coconut tree!
At that time, I thought I had a broken bone, and I thought I was going to die. An injury is definitely fatal for a person who barely survives!

But, fortunately, I recovered after laying down for a day. I guess it was just a concussion injury. Since then, unless I have to, I have a strong resistance to climbing this kind of coconut tree.

Especially with this ax in hand, I'm less likely to waste time climbing trees.

Although the leaves of the small coconut trees are not very big, they are enough. I cut down three small coconut trees in total.

After clearing the branches of the saplings and cutting down the coconut palms, I transported the materials back several times.

The construction of the little wild boar's shack has begun.

The four small trees were evenly divided into two sections by me.

The small tree that was about three to four meters old was cut up by me.

On the four corners of the rectangle drawn on the ground, I inserted a small tree that I had just divided.

The four small trees are not the same length, but the relationship is not great. I use the depth of the soil pit to arrange the front two and the back two at the same height.

Of course, the heights of the front and rear rows of small trees that are finally inserted are also different.

This is what I did on purpose. The small trees in the front row are taller, and the ones in the back row are slightly lower, so that when I make the roof later, I can make it into a slope.

The sloped roof is convenient for water drainage. When I lay the leaves, I can also stack the leaves according to the slope to form a tile-like effect.

After the four small trees were inserted, I connected the two undivided small trees with vines to the small trees in the front row and the back row respectively.

……

As time passed, I was sweating profusely at work.

I am also laying the roof of the shed now. This roof uses some extra book trunks as load-bearing, and they are slanted on the small trees that are horizontally in front.

I also laid a layer of coconut trees first, covered them with fishing nets, then fixed them with vines, and finally, covered them with a layer of coconut leaves.

In this way, the shack will never leak.

"Huh" exhaled, touched the sweat on my forehead, and I looked at the small shack in front of me with satisfaction.

This shack is much better than my previous shelter...

At least it's sturdier and more reasonable than my original hut.

The terrain of the shed is the highest in the pigsty, but in order to prevent heavy rain, I also opened a drainage channel around the pigsty.

In the end, I cut a large pile of grass and spread it inside the shed, so as not to get too wet from being trampled by the two little pigs on rainy days.

……

It didn't take long for me to do all this well. I stopped to light a cigarette and took a few sips of drinks when it started to rain. The rain was not heavy, just a few drops.

I just wanted to go into the house to hide from the rain, but suddenly realized a very important thing, I forgot to cover the potato seedlings and unknown seedlings.

Fortunately, it's not raining too much now.

I rushed to the vegetable garden in a hurry. The two little wild boars were quite interesting, and they had already hid in the shack. It seemed that I didn't need to worry about it.

The sky has begun to darken, and I know very well that heavy rain is coming, so I hastily dug a large drainage ditch around the vegetable field, not deep, but very wide.

Although these are only seedlings, for me they are my hope, the source of my vision for the future.

I quickly inserted the picked branches into the gaps in the vegetable field one by one, avoiding these seedlings as much as possible, and inserting them in the spaces between the seedlings.

Then, I carried a large broken fishing net from the tree house.

Of course, I didn't directly cover it. I quickly folded it in half and then folded it in half again. I folded it in half a total of three times. The mesh was much smaller, and then I covered it.

Because of the support of those small branches, the fishing net will not hurt these seedlings at all, but can prevent the seedlings from being directly hit by raindrops.

I have seen the madness of the heavy rain here. The raindrops are bigger than soybeans, and it hurts my face when it hits me, let alone such a young seedling.

Although the fishing net was covered, I was still uneasy. Finally, I re-fixed the four corners of the fishing net with branches, and then I was relieved.

The torrential rain also poured down at this time, and I was completely drenched before I rushed into the house.

It was terrible, I didn't want to experience the pain of being sick again, so I quickly rushed to the fire on the lower floor, took off my wet clothes, dried them, and put on another set...

When changing clothes, I found that my skin has completely turned into a bronze color, and obvious muscles have appeared on my arms...

Listening to the sound of wind and rain outside, I began to plan my future life...

First of all, thank you for your support, which allowed me to get the forced push of the city page starting on Sunday afternoon. Luobo said that there will be three more changes on Sunday. I hope that brothers who have tickets will continue to throw recommendation tickets in the face of Luobo, thank you!Just now, Luobo discovered that there was another deacon, and the person who smoothed the edges and corners had to be added again...
