Desert Island Survival Diary

Chapter 79, Day 59, Utilization of Hive Residues

Chapter 79 Nine Heavens, Utilization of Beehive Residues
I thought about it all night yesterday, and I haven't finished eating these hives, but I have collected the previous residues.

Although I don't know much about the process of making beeswax, or I don't even have any concept of how to make beeswax, but I still rely on my only knowledge to imagine.

The honeycomb residue should be burnt, in fact, I'm not sure, but even if these residues can be burned, how?How to burn? But it gave me a headache.

How to do it?I thought to myself while chewing on the leftover honeycomb!

The feeling of being stuck in this way of thinking is really uncomfortable. I have to go outside to get some air, otherwise I feel like I will go crazy soon...

Today's weather is not as good as the previous few days. There are many clouds in the sky. I have fully understood the weather here. Maybe it will rain tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

In the past, as long as there was such a cloudy weather, it would rain in a short period of time, but it will rain if it rains. I have nothing to worry about now, as long as it is not like the violent storm last time.

"Rainwater? That's right!" I was very excited as if suddenly enlightened.

I've been stuck with this problem for a while now, what to do with the hive dross has always been a headache for me, but now I have a solution! It can also be said to be a preliminary plan.

I have been thinking about whether it is possible to throw the honeycomb residue directly into the pot to cook, but in the end I gave up. I think that if I cook it directly, it will definitely burn the honeycomb residue.

But it’s different now. I can’t refuse this idea. Since honeycomb dregs will be burnt if boiled directly, it will be no problem to add water to cook together. Also, if the wax is melted, it will definitely float on the water surface. Just solved the problem of heating together with water.

After that, when the water cools, the beeswax should solidify on the surface and I'll be able to get them.

But after all, this is the guesswork of an inexperienced person like me, and the answer will not be known until I try it.

The experiment is not in a hurry to start, and there is still a large part of the hive that I haven't used up.I can also take advantage of this time to rest and go to the woods to pick up some firewood, try to make use of the good weather, and store more useful things.

While chewing the large pieces of honeycomb stuffed in his mouth, he was picking up vines and branches. There were still some small animals in the wet woods that I ran away. Some of them didn’t see what they were at all, but there was a lizard I can see it very clearly, but I don't know what species it belongs to. It is about 20 centimeters long. Seeing me pass by, it turned around and ran away tactfully.

I'm not afraid of this kind of little creature, but I won't provoke it easily. There are also many mushrooms in the woods, as well as fern-like plants. To be honest, I really want to taste them. These mushrooms are colorful, and there are even some tiny water droplets on the top of the mushroom umbrellas, shining with crystal light...

Of course, I just think about it, I dare not joke about my life, I have eaten wild mushrooms, and I have eaten them in my friend’s hometown in the mountain area. It is the food they use to entertain guests. The milky white color is lighter than that of crucian carp soup, and the refreshing mushroom slices make me miss it very much.

Before it is clear that I can eat it, although I will not try it, I can simply recollect it. If I have not seen these mushrooms, I will not think of the taste of the wild mushroom soup I once drank...

This can be regarded as a small episode, and soon I picked up a lot of firewood, and the honeycomb I chewed was left with only a ball of scum, and it was time to go back.

Spread the firewood in the yard and let the sun dry the water in the firewood to ensure sufficient firewood support in the long-term heavy rain.

After spitting out the honeycomb residue in my mouth into the collection basin, I stuffed another large piece of honeycomb into my mouth, and then I came to the fire on the lower level of the tree house.

The fire has been burning for a long time, and it has never been extinguished since I moved in. After so many days, the ground under the fire has been blackened, and there is this plant ash, which I just pulled out before Arrived aside, it has never been dealt with, and as time goes by, the pile of ash has grown more and more.

So now I am most afraid of Xiaohei wagging his tail by the fire, which is fatal. Every time he wags his tail here, it is like a sandstorm...

Plant ash is very useful. I used this plant ash to wash clothes before, and I am quite satisfied with the cleaning ability. Also, plant ash can be used as fertilizer, and now I plan to get these plant ash outside to fertilize.

I don't have a dustpan or anything like that. When it rains next time and I have nothing to do, I'm going to try to weave it. It shouldn't be too difficult in my opinion, because my requirements are really not high.

I made a pot of these plant ash in a pot, added some water, stirred well, and then sprinkled the mixed plant ash evenly in the small garden. Although there are only a handful of small wildflowers in the small garden, but I'll be replanting the small garden full soon afterwards.

In the small garden, I planted six pots in total, almost covering the entire garden, should it be almost the same?I ask myself!Maybe it's okay! I thought.

Next, of course, there are potato seedlings and drift bottle seedlings. Applying a little fertilizer to them should make them grow faster.Of course, in the end, I still kept an eye on it. I plan to apply half of it first. If these seedlings cannot adapt to the plant ash fertilizer, then I can guarantee the safety of the other half of the seedlings.

When I came to the vegetable field, I was surprised to find that these seedlings had grown up a lot, even the small leaves stretched out, and green shoots appeared on them, showing vitality.

The leaves of this potato seedling are oval, and the rhizome is as thick as a quarter of a cigarette. There are two to three roots growing together on average in a cluster of rhizomes. Although they grow in different directions, they are not separated.

And the other kind of seedlings grown from seeds in the drifting bottle are also green, but the shape of the leaves is completely different from that of potatoes. A small leaf, the lower leaves are narrower and longer, and the top one just grows a bit heart-shaped.

I have never seen this kind of seedling, but I can basically confirm that it should not be a flower, or some ornamental green plant, or a vegetable!Yes, I feel like it!I don't think the leaves of flowers usually grow like this.

After laying all the ashes, I started to chew the honeycomb again. The deliciousness at the beginning has become a bit cumbersome now. My muscles are sore from repeated chewing, but there is no way I woke up yesterday to find that there are many small bugs trying to steal my hive.

I ended up getting rid of them, but I don't want to leave these hives overnight anymore.

Finally, when I didn't know what time it was in the afternoon, I chewed all these honeycombs, and the last few pieces were basically done in a hurry...

Now, I can start my experiment...
