Put the nail tip on the mirror surface, if there is a gap between the nail tip and the reflected image, it is a normal one-way mirror.

If the tip of the nail can directly touch the reflected image, it is most likely a two-way mirror!

You can also stick a small makeup mirror on the mirror to compare the brightness of the image, and take a picture of your own face. If the brightness of the big mirror is obviously lower than that of the small makeup mirror, you should be careful.

Because the double-sided mirror uses a reflective layer with a reflectivity range of 50% to 70%, in addition to reflecting light for imaging, it must also allow part of the light to pass through.

Therefore, compared with ordinary single-way mirrors, the images formed by double-way mirrors are darker.

The thickness and material of the double-sided mirror and the single-sided mirror are the same, but generally the back of the double-sided mirror is empty.

Therefore, it can also be judged by tapping the mirror and listening to the sound. If the sound is hollow and slightly reverberant, then the mirror may be a double-sided mirror.
