Isaac Asimov's "Foundation" series is considered to be the cornerstone of modern Western science fiction. The grand historical setting spanning thousands of years in the book provides countless beneficial sci-fi imagination spaces for future generations. The 2014 Christopher Nolan movie [Interstellar] is one of the rare sci-fi masterpieces in recent years. Although Nolan has not publicly expressed the connection between the movie and the [Foundation] series, I always watch the movie. I felt some echoes between the two.

In this article, which can be regarded as a certain degree of movie fandom, I will combine the timelines I summarized when I read and watched the [Base] series and [Interstellar Crossing], and add my common points of plot and setting between the two.
