Harry Potter: Charlie's Candy Factory
Chapter 7 Chapter Family
Chapter 7
The sun was setting.
When Harry returned to the door of the Dursleys, the sun, which was still dim, had completely sunk below the horizon. The color of the sky dimmed and became a vague darkness.
"Huh..." He stood at the door, looking at the wooden door painted with white paint, and couldn't help but take a deep breath.
He patted his cheek, causing the original joy on his face to dissipate, and then turned back to the same frustration and embarrassment as before.
And the piece of chocolate that Charlie handed him at the end was put into his pants pocket. And he purposely stretched the already crumpled pocket a bit bigger.Make the chocolate wrapping paper reveal a corner.
After Harry was busy and confirmed that everything was ready, he finally turned the handle of the wooden door.
"Squeaky..."
The old wooden door was slowly pushed open by him with a harsh sound.
The warm orange light shone on him along the gradually opening door.
Compared with the dark and hazy environment outside, it seems to be another completely different world...
For Harry, however, it was the exact opposite. If he could, he would rather choose to wander aimlessly in the dark streets than enter this house and face three mean and hateful faces.
"I am back……"
Like every night like this, Harry lowered his head and said in a voice that only he could hear.
And everything was exactly as Harry had expected.
The Dursleys had finished their dinner early, and at this moment his uncle was lying on the sofa, reading an evening newspaper comfortably.
Hearing the sound of the door opening, he glanced sideways at Harry, and then made a few nasal "humming" sounds.
"Hmph, close the door, boy. You're bringing in the cold wind."
The thick beard under the big nose trembled as he spoke, crawling on it like a fat caterpillar.
Cousin Dudley also showed a triumphant smile when he looked at Harry who was in such a mess.
Obviously, seeing Harry in this state would undoubtedly make him happy.
Since he was a child, playing tricks on his cousin, who was always called a "little bastard" by his parents, was his hobby.
"Is there any dinner left?"
Harry asked as usual.
"dinner!?"
Sure enough, upon hearing Harry's words, the aunt who was sitting at the coffee table with her legs crossed and sipping a cup of hot tea suddenly widened her eyes.
Staring at Harry Potter, his voice suddenly rose several octaves.
Her voice was sharp and unseemly, matched with the pair of eyes staring at Harry with undisguised hatred and the bridge of her slightly hooked nose.
In Harry's eyes, it looked like the most classic witch image in fairy tales.
"I came back at this time, and it was kind enough for me not to confine you in a cupboard for a week. And you, you have the nerve to ask me, do you still have dinner!?"
"Hmph..." After hearing his wife's words, Uncle Dursley was finally willing to look Harry squarely.
There was also undisguised disgust in his eyes, and he said
"What a greedy little bastard..."
Harry lowered his head slightly, drooping his eyelids, clenched his hands into fists and said nothing.
Just like a puppet standing there, allowing the other party to insult.
……
"Humph."
Not long after, the aunt and uncle, who had been derogatory and insulting to Harry, finally gave a cold snort of satisfaction as if they had completed their daily check-in, and let out a breath of foul air.
Then he said nonchalantly
"Stop standing there, go wash the dishes! Then go back to your cupboard."
After finishing speaking, looking at Harry who was walking towards the sink, he seemed to think of something again, and quickly added something.
"You'd better not be fooled, you know, boy. If I find out that your bowl hasn't been cleaned, you still won't have dinner tomorrow!"
"I see."
Standing in front of the sink, with his back to the three of them, Harry nodded obediently on the surface, and agreed honestly, but couldn't help curling his lips.
While brushing the bowl, Harry turned his head carefully, and turned to the family of three sitting happily together on the sofa. Their appearance at this moment was completely different from that when they were facing Harry.
No matter how other people looked at it, they would only nod their heads in satisfaction at the sight, without even thinking that this was actually a family of four.
After the last bowl was taken out of the sink by Harry.
He shook off the water droplets on his hands, and then, as usual, obediently walked back to the cupboard where he lived, following the orders of his uncle and aunt.
Only the only difference is that Harry
This time, he didn't choose to stay away from Dudley who was staring at him.Instead, he deliberately walked past him.
Sure enough, just as he expected.
Maybe Dudley was just hopelessly stupid, academically and otherwise. But when it came to finding food... Harry was absolutely sure that there was absolutely no one with such talent!
Almost as soon as Harry walked by him, Dudley's nose nuzzled, as if he smelled something familiar.
Immediately, his eyes widened and he searched Harry's body, and finally fell into his wrinkled and stretched pocket.
At this moment, Dudley was so alert that he hardly looked like a fat man.
He jumped up from the couch, screaming like an air raid siren.
"Dad!!! Mom!!! There's chocolate in Harry Potter's pocket!! It's Charlie's hazelnuts!! This guy stole a hazelnut!!!"
And when he heard his son's cry, he wondered if it was Harry's illusion.
He seemed to see the couple's eyes light up faintly, and there was a bit of joy on the corners of their mouths.
That expression seemed to be saying, that's great, I can scold him again.
...............................
Needless to say, the Dursleys believed that Harry had stolen the chocolate.
Maybe it's a store, maybe it's someone's body, or maybe it's a snack hidden by their precious son...
But these are not important anymore, the important thing is that they must fix this "thief" properly.
After another round of noise...
Uncle Dursley pulled Harry up like he was carrying a chicken, and threw him into the cupboard.
"Peng!!!"
With his thick arm, he slammed the door of the cupboard tightly.
The cupboard shook three times, and the dust clinging to it also fell down Herod.
Harry lay on his stomach in his den, looking out through the chink of the cupboard.
Although he was still embarrassed, at this moment, he couldn't help showing a smile on his face.
