Riding the wind of rebirth

Chapter 1351 Visitors

"Look, Lao Li, this is our calligraphy and painting restoration studio," Principal Lin led the visitor: "This is Director Yuan of our restoration institute. This is a student of our school and a leader of the restoration institute, Zhou Zhi."

After that, he introduced to Zhou Zhi and Director Yuan: "This is Comrade Li Shipei from the Third Research Institute of the Ministry of Aerospace Industry. We met at a meeting in the capital. He happened to be on a business trip to Shu, so I invited him to come and see us. look."

Seeing that both Director Yuan and Zhou Zhi were confused, Principal Lin smiled and said: "Director Li's father is Comrade Li Yimeng who donated a large number of ancient books to our museum."

Director Yuan and Zhou Zhi were immediately in awe: "I have admired you for a long time!"

Li Yimeng was a native of Pengzhou in Sichuan Province and joined the party in his early years.

During the Northern Expedition, he served as the section chief of the Propaganda Department of the General Political Department of the National Revolutionary Army and as the Secretary-General of the Staff Group during the Nanchang Uprising. After that, he worked on the Special Kosovo front, propaganda front, and education front until liberation. He was one of the few people in the party at that time. The "great literati".

During his military life, he was not only an older generation of proletarian revolutionaries, but also a rare and great collector.

What is even more commendable is that in his later years, the old man donated all his life's collection to the Forbidden City, the National Museum, the capital, Shanghai, Shudu and other places' universities and libraries.

In Shuzhong alone, the Shudu Library donated more than 3000 volumes of precious ancient books twice, and Shu University received more than volumes. The old man also donated tens of thousands of modern paperback books in his hometown of Pengzhou.

When the second donation to the Shudu Library was completed in 1988, the library rewarded him with a reward of 150,000 yuan. The old man did not keep any money, but left it to his hometown to establish a scholarship to encourage learning.

It is truly a matter of donating everything and leaving nothing behind.

"Director Yuan said that he has admired my father for a long time. I believe it." Li Shipei chuckled and said, "You also say the same, little classmate, then I have to ask you what you have admired for a long time."

""Huajian Collection", "Huajian Collection" contains 500 poems by 18 poets represented by Wen Tingyun and Wei Zhuang. These 18 people are either from Shu or living in Shu. The creative trajectory has a lot to do with our Shu region, and this first collection of literati's poetry in the history of Chinese literature, "Flower Room Collection" should also be the pride of our Shu region."

"Mr. Li collected a total of twenty-six editions of "Hua Jian Ji" from the Ming Dynasty to the Republic of China and then to the present day, and donated them to us in Sichuan. The time spent, the exquisite appreciation, and the academic expertise are all worth it. Our descendants have admired you for a long time!”

"In addition, there are ancient printmaking books of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, such as "Chen Laolian's Paintings of Water Margin Leaves"; Xiling Seal Society's movable type printing of "East China Sea Fishermen's Songs"; Liu Mei's true shadow writing of Song Jiatai's "Collected Works of Yuhu Laymen", etc., all of which are handed down from generation to generation."

"Chen Laolian's Painting of Water Margin Leaves" is a printmaking, so we don't need to worry about it, but "East China Sea Fishermen's Songs" and "Collected Works of Yuhu Layman" need to be highlighted.

"East China Sea Fishermen's Songs" is a collection of lyrics written by a woman named Gu Taiqing who lived in Manchuria with a blue flag during the Qing Dynasty.

Gu Taiqing's real name was Xilin Jueluochun. He married Beile Yihui, the great-great-grandson of Qianlong, as his concubine at the age of twenty-six. Because he was a concubine, he had to pretend to be a woman named Gu in the palace to report to the family mansion.

Yi Hui died of illness nine years after their marriage. Gu Taiqing and his children were expelled from the house because of a "lilac case" with the literary giant Gong Zizhen, and lived in Zhuanta Hutong in his later years.

Gu Taiqing's poetry was all based on talent, and he could also paint. In his later years, he also wrote a novel "A Dream of Red Mansions" and was the first female writer in the history of Chinese novels.

Her collection of lyrics was called "Donghai Pavilion Collection" and was lost for a period of time. Later generations collected it and handed it down to the world as "Donghai Fishermen's Songs".

At that time, some people praised her as being comparable to Nalan Rongruo: "In Eight Banners' Ci Ci, it is said that 'men are as mature as Rongruo, and women are as pure as Qingchun'." Later generations also compared her collection of lyrics with the lyrics of Zhu Xizhen, a female poet in the Song Dynasty. The collection of "Qiao Songs" is juxtaposed and is called "Two Songs of Fishing and Woodcutter".

At that time, Li Yimeng got this edition of "East China Sea Fishermen's Song". He felt like he had found a treasure. He added a brocade cover to it and bound it with paper.

Because the second volume was missing, the old man specially copied and filled in the missing parts with extremely neat pen and ink.

Not only that, he also specially asked Qi Lao to write an "inscription" on the cover of the book, and also asked the famous painter Pan Jiezi to draw a portrait of Gu Taiqing in front of the book. At the back of the book, many famous scholars such as Qi Yanming, Mao Dun, Xia Chengtao, Zhou Shutao, etc., who came to visit and read, as well as himself, left inscriptions and postscripts.

And another photocopy of the "Collected Works of Lay Master Yu Hu" is even more precious, even priceless.

The collection consists of four volumes and was originally a collection of poems and essays by Zhang Xiaoxiang, a politician and lyricist of the Southern Song Dynasty.

His poems combine the clearness of Dongpo and the heroism of Jiaxuan. His "Niannujiao·Crossing the Dongting" is considered by Zhou Zhi to be the only masterpiece in the world of poetry that can be traced back to Su Dongpo's "Shui Tiao Song Tou·When Will the Bright Moon Come"?

The "Collected Works of Yu Hu Lay" donated by Li Yimeng is a collection of lyrics written by Liu Mei Zhenying from the Jiatai engraving of the Song Dynasty, and contains 182 poems.

Not many people may know Liu Meizhen, but everyone knows about her husband - Yuan Kewen, the second son of Yuan Shikai, the first of the four princes of the Republic of China.

Due to her identity, Liu Meizhen's talent is rarely known. However, Fan Zengxiang, a famous scholar from Beijing and Tianjin, commented on his calligraphy that "the character of his calligraphy is not inferior to that of Lu Bicheng, but the charm of his calligraphy can compete with Jiangnan's."

In addition to Liu Meizhen's powerful calligraphy, skillful brushwork, and excellent paper and ink, which are comparable to ancient books, this "Collected Works of Yuhu Layman" also has postscripts by Yuan Kewen, Zhou Shutao, Zhang Yunliang, and Zhang Boju at the end of the volume, which not only introduces the original version The origin and inheritance of the book have important documentary value, and the deep friendship between several people in the Republic of China can be seen between the lines. Very valuable for research.

From these donated collections, we can see Mr. Li’s superb collection level, unique ability to appreciate ancient books, and his tireless love and pursuit of literature.

The key is that Mr. Li did not leave these important things to his descendants, but donated them all together with the rest of his treasures over the years.

"Huh? I didn't expect that at such a young age, Mr. Zhou is no stranger to my father's collection. I just said the wrong thing, so I apologize to Mr. Zhou." Li Shipei was very happy: "This time I just heard that You finally received the Song Dynasty edition of "The Collection of Flowers", so you came here to take a look while on a business trip."

Director Yuan, under the instruction of Principal Lin, went to fetch the Song version of "Huajian Collection" from the warehouse.

Several people put on gloves and started to flip through the book. Li Shipei briefly read a few pages and humbly asked: "This edition of the book looks really fine, but how can we prove that it is the Song edition?"

"How about I let Jiuzi explain it? This Song version of "The Collection of Flowers" is also related to him.

"It has nothing to do with me." Zhou Zhi smiled and said, "This was sorted out from several boxes of Master Zuzu's manuscripts. After Grandpa Shi found out, he donated them to the library."

"Aren't you also responsible for the appraisal?" Director Yuan said with a smile: "Director Li, Principal Lin, Zhu Zi's appraisal of rare ancient books is also a family heirloom. The previous set of "Qianlong Longzang Jing" reprinted in the Guangxu year was also produced by Zhu Zi in his hometown. found."

"So the elbow is so powerful, who is your master?"
