Chapter 1493 Addition and Subtraction
Chapter 1493 Addition and Subtraction
“I don’t know who is right, but when I think about what he said about logic, it does make sense,” Lin Wanqiu said. “When we hear people emphasize that logic was born in the West, we have never been told that logic can be divided into liberal arts and science. Mathematics, why? Because it’s deliberate.”
"Jiuzi said this is called an 'information cocoon'. Why do you do it deliberately? Because others only want you to know what they deliberately let you know. What's the intention?"
"So we can know whether those who follow the applause are either bad or stupid?"
"There's nothing wrong with this logic... eh?"
"Jiuzi also mentioned a concept in informatics called 'information entropy'. Its general meaning is to quantify the average amount of information. The information elements that make up the information are regarded as a package. The higher the purity of the elements in the package, the information entropy is The lower it is, the larger the package is required to express the same piece of information.”
"He said that the significance of Chinese to informatics is that it is the largest 'set of elements' in human language. It has tones, tones, and hieroglyphs. Its purity is countless times lower than that of Western languages that have dozens of letters and two tones. Accordingly, it requires the fewest elements to express the same piece of content.”
"So it is the most beautiful 'thinking language'. The reason why Westerners cannot see logic is not because it does not exist, but because it is too complex and too advanced."
"Really?" Li Laosan felt a little unbelievable.
Lin Wanqiu typed a line in her notebook: "Will I be the one to eat on the boat today at noon?" She signaled Li Laosan to answer.
Li Laosan took a look: "Yes, Huang Lin got a big catfish and raised it. Zhuzi said that after the Gezhouba was built, there were fewer and fewer big catfish in their upper reaches. They only weighed 30 to 50 kilograms each. Only the ones under Gezhouba were still there. You can buy it. Let’s have a catfish feast today.”
Lin Wanqiu rolled her eyes at Li Laosan: "Look more carefully."
"What do you mean?" Li Laosan read it twice more, but still didn't understand.
Lin Wanqiu took the mouse and highlighted "noon", "we are me", and "ship to eat" respectively: "Look clearly."
"Ah? Huh?" Li Laosan couldn't help but was stunned: "This... what kind of magical phenomenon is this?"
"This is the power of information entropy. What Zhu Zhi said is that the amount of Chinese information is so powerful that it has its own error correction function. Of course, this is in the human brain that has been trained and learned." Lin Wanqiu was so proud that Zhou Zhi showed her this trick. When asked, she and Li Laosan had the same reaction: "One day, information technology will be powerful enough to simulate this logical thinking process and put it into application to benefit mankind."
"Computers based solely on operational logic are far from reaching their end, and human wisdom has not yet been able to advance artificial intelligence to this level."
Li Laosan smacked his mouth: "I asked you why eldest brother always praises you every time he raises his elbow. It turns out that they can talk to each other..."
In fact, if this conversation was heard by Zhou Zhi, there would be another comment.
Subtraction and addition are an eternal contradiction and proposition in the history of human science and technology.
The purpose of subtraction and spin-off is naturally to simplify and clarify, to abandon individualization and adopt standardization as the principle to achieve the purpose of mass production and greatly increase production capacity.
However, this is only one direction.
The other direction is unification and integration. Its purpose is naturally to produce products that are more complex, more precise, more coordinated, and with higher individual product value. Its purpose is to improve another attribute of production-quality. In fact, these two aspects have always been complementary to each other. From the Paleolithic, Neolithic, to the Bronze Age, the Black Iron Age, and the Machine Age, humans have always been subtracting and adding at the same time.
If we move our focus away from the development of science and technology and production and look at it at the social level, from primitive society to modern society, systems, laws, customs, and various other things are imposed on society to maintain the relatively harmonious operation of the entire system. The methods are actually addition.
Generally speaking, the strength of mathematical logic lies in simplification and clarity, that is, subtraction, while the strength of liberal arts logic lies in unification and integration, that is, addition.
As for which kind of logic has become the mainstream of mankind, it actually just depends on which kind of logic is needed at the current stage of development of human society. It is by no means to elevate one kind to the sky and trample the other to the ground.
Otherwise, we have fallen into the pit of ancient Confucian governance, only to fall back into it again in reverse.
Of course Zhou Zhi didn't hear it, so he couldn't publish such a "high talk". He was currently studying a package of information with concentration.
To be precise, it is a criminal case.
In 1979, the Qu Yuan Memorial Hall in Zigui was officially completed. It covers an area of 20,000 square meters and houses more than 800 cultural relics, more than 500 sets of books about Qu Yuan, and more than 300 calligraphy and paintings by ancient celebrities.
In order to ensure the safety of the cultural relics, the memorial hall took another year to complete and was not opened to the public until 1980.
Since the opening of the memorial hall, there has been an endless stream of people coming to visit every day, most of them are ordinary people, but there are also some cultural workers and foreign experts from time to time.
There are hundreds of people entering and exiting the memorial hall every day. During the peak season, the daily flow of people can reach thousands.
In the eight years since its opening, the Qu Yuan Memorial Hall had been operating normally until one day in June 1988, when the staff came to the museum for a routine pre-opening inspection and walked to the second floor, when they were suddenly dumbfounded.
There was a big hole in the display cabinet in the showroom on the second floor, the cabinet lock was violently pried open, and the cultural relics inside were missing.
What's even more frightening is that more than one lock has been pried open. Several display cabinets have been pried open, and the cultural relics in the cabinets have long since disappeared.
After intense inspection, it was discovered that a total of nine important cultural relics were missing in the museum, including three bronze bells, three bronze pots, a pair of bronze bells and a bronze sword.
Among the nine cultural relics, the most precious one is the Eastern Zhou Bronze Dun.
In 1974, in a place called Turtle Nest in Zigui, a villager dug out a hemispherical bronze vessel and later handed it over to the cultural preservation department.
After identification, the cultural relics cadres believed that there should be another half of the bronze vessel, so they launched a rescue excavation in Turtle Dove Nest.
Sure enough, archaeologists dug up the other half near the original site. Each of the two is a hemisphere, and when combined together, they form a complete pair of Eastern Zhou Bronze Dunes.
Tongdun is 22.8 centimeters high and 17.5 centimeters in diameter. There are three symmetrical S-shaped animal buttons on the top and bottom. There are a pair of symmetrical ring-shaped ears on the top and bottom of the lid. The overall pattern is delicate, smooth and intricate. It is Ritual vessels used to hold rice and other grains during the Eastern Zhou Dynasty have high artistic and historical value.
The key is that these are a pair of unique products. Looking at the whole country, there are only a pair of bronzes of this level in Qu Yuan Memorial Hall!
