Riding the wind of rebirth

Chapter 1802 Old friends meet

Now that things in Beijing have come to an end, Zhou Zhi's first task is to take the paintings back and restore them to their original state.

Because there is still a pile of materials being repaired at my fourth cousin's place.

Before departure, the National Museum conducted high-definition scans of several paintings, and we will organize experts to make perfect one-to-one copies of them.

Zhou Zhi also had another task, which was to provide silk and brocade for the replicas, while paper and the scrolls of heaven and earth were handed over to the Palace Museum and Rongbaozhai.

With these tasks and the honorary certificate for donating the body of the Dish-shaped Lei vessel, Zhou Zhi flew back to Shudu.

"I've discovered that you're really good at finding things to do for yourself." Feng Xueshan, who came to pick him up, joked, "Do you always appear in the news every time you go to the capital?"

"It's just a coincidence," Zhou Zhi also felt it was magical, as if every time he went to the capital, he would encounter some unexpected good things: "Another large sum of money was donated."

"When the monk saw the Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasty dating project in the news, he said you would definitely get involved." Feng Xueshan said indignantly, "I didn't believe it, but within a minute I saw your footage. Lost money! You made me lose the bet!"

"He knows that we have been working on the Shang Dynasty oracle bone inscriptions project, and the Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasty dating project cannot avoid the Shang Dynasty. He is just using the information gap to bully you." Zhou Zhi sat in the passenger seat and chatted with Feng Xueshan while fastening his seat belt out of habit. Suddenly, he discovered other information in Feng Xueshan's words: "Are you still watching the news broadcast together? The 7 o'clock main broadcast or the 9 o'clock replay? You still have to manage the cafeteria at 7 o'clock, so you will definitely be too late..."

Feng Xueshan couldn't help but feel ashamed, annoyed, and anxious. She slapped Zhou Zhi on the mouth and said, "Shut your stinky mouth!"

The blow was quite forceful, and there was a snapping sound in the silent car, and then it fell into silence.

Zhou Zhi was just speaking out of habit, but he didn't expect Feng Xueshan to react like this. This now confirmed the situation, and he couldn't help but regret that he shouldn't have brought this up.

"I'm sorry..." After a long while, the two of them spoke at the same time, and then they laughed together at this coincidence.

"Did it hurt you?" Feng Xueshan's face was still red, and she used her grumbling as an apology: "Who told you to be so careless when joking!"

"I deserved to be beaten." Zhou Zhi knew he couldn't continue joking now: "You two's business is your own business, I shouldn't say anything."

"Should we go to school or go back to Suihuaxuan first?" Feng Xueshan interrupted.

"Let's go back to Suihuaxuan first. Master Yang and I have an appointment to meet there to discuss the issue of mounting and replicating brocade." Zhou Zhi said.

"Actually, I just want to help myself make up my mind." When the car got on the highway, Feng Xueshan said quietly, "There's nothing wrong with a monk as a husband, but... it's a little less romantic."

"what?"

"Ah what! Isn't that what you want to hear?!"

"Oh, I am of course 100% confident in the character of the monk. But Xueshan, if I must stand for one of you two, I will definitely stand on your side, so I think it is better to say some things." Zhou Zhi thought for a while: "In some aspects, Xueshan, you still have to keep the monk hanging, don't let him feel that everything comes too easily and he doesn't know how to cherish it." "How dare he not cherish it?" Feng Xueshan was very confident: "But based on what you just said, I forgive you."

"So, do you want to consider settling down? I heard that there are several real estate projects opening up around Brother Wu, and they are all pretty good, but I suggest that you take the school district planning into consideration..."

"Are you still going to help?" Feng Xueshan was very close to Zhou Zhi after all, and she knew that Zhou Zhi's words were not a joke, but a genuine concern. She couldn't help but feel touched and amused: "Forget it, if you want to find Brother Wu, I know that Tingting and I can go find him, so I won't bother you, Master Zhou, to avoid embarrassment for both you and Brother Wu."

"We are all adults, there is nothing to be embarrassed about." Although he said so, Zhou Zhi dared to talk to Tang Qi about his personal matters, but he really never met Jiang Wu once. It seemed that the other party was also deliberately avoiding him. Anyway, since breaking up with Jiang Shuyi, he and Jiang Wu got to know each other's information through Tang Qi and Guan Tingting, and they had never met each other.

But at this time, I have to hold on: "It's mainly because everyone is busy..."

"You men..." Feng Xueshan sighed, "You're just being stubborn!"

Master Yang Dequan used the words of ancient physiognomists to describe her as "a female body with a male appearance". Every time he saw her, the image of an embroiderer that Zhou Zhi had created in his mind through traditional poetry would be shattered.

He is tall and fat, with ten fingers like ten carrots. If he was just weaving brocade, it would be fine, but after all, brocade uses a large loom, and he really can't do it without some strength.

This is indeed true. In the Song Dynasty, all the weavers in the official brocade courtyard of Shudu were men.

However, Master Yang is not only proficient in Shu brocade, but also in Shu embroidery. He can hold the embroidery needle with his carrot fingers and sew on silk very quickly, and can also create amazing works.

The master has just completed the "Water Moon Guanyin Statue", which took more than two years to weave. It used many modern techniques and combines the realism of a photograph with the aesthetic of meticulous brushwork. Once it came out, it shocked the entire arts and crafts community.

The most famous statue of Guanyin of Water and Moon is of course the Liao Dynasty wooden statue that has been lost to the Nelson-Atkinson Museum in the United States, but there is also one in Shu, which is the stone statue of Guanyin of Water and Moon in Anyue Pilu Cave.

The postures of the two statues of Guanyin are almost exactly the same; even their hair crowns, clothing, scarves, and many other parts are similar. The two statues are also from almost the same era, but one is from the Liao Dynasty in the north, and the other is from the Northern Song Dynasty in the south.

Master Yang's statue of Water-Moon Guanyin is a copy of the Anyue Water-Moon Guanyin statue, but the clothing and color matching absorb the warm tones of the Liao Dynasty Water-Moon Guanyin statue, matching the mottled background of the red imitation Danxia stone of the palace wall, bringing people a sense of warm and compassionate care.

This is the first embroidery portrait made of fine silk imitating the Song Dynasty style. It is three meters high and two meters wide. The painting is so huge that if people are too close to the viewer, they have to look up and can't help but feel a solemn worship of Buddhism.

Feng Xueshan, Fei Guan, and Zhang Cheng are now standing in front of this huge embroidered portrait, clasping their hands and praying silently.

"Why are you two here too?" Zhou Zhi had never expected these two to be here: "Brother Cheng, Brother Fei, long time no see."

"Brother, you are so scary." Fei Guan worshipped Guanyin devoutly, then turned to Zhou Zhi and said, "Paintings from the Four Masters of the Six Dynasties! My God, how did you get them?"

"This is pure luck." Zhou Zhi said with a smile: "It's just that the foreigners don't know the value of the goods, and some of the paintings are in bad condition, almost like rags, so I picked up a big bargain." (End of this chapter)
