Riding the wind of rebirth

Chapter 1860 Good Luck

Chapter 1860 Good Luck
If Zhou Zhi were here, he would definitely tell the three people not to be afraid. Divine magic would generally get a boost in places like religious places, and what Lao Chi Ri was doing was not some magic to summon souls or exorcise ghosts, but the "bone divination" that had been very popular thousands of years ago.

The moxa head used by Lao Chi Ri is called "Wei" in the Yi language. Unlike the "cheating" method of drilling holes before burning oracle bones in the middle and late Shang Dynasty, which artificially controlled the divination patterns, the Yi people did not trim the bones before burning them, and did not drill or chisel them.

This is similar to the Longshan Culture and Qijia Culture, which were much earlier than the Shang Dynasty, and can be called an absolute "living fossil".

Generally, the cracks produced after burning are observed. These cracks are called "omen patterns". Generally, one event is one omen. If it is found to be unlucky, then you can modify your method of action in your mind and make a second divination by burning the oracle bone again near the first burning point. If it is still unlucky, you can modify it again and make a third divination.

After three divinations, no matter whether it is good or bad, do not divinate again.

The interpretation of omen patterns is a science. The best and most auspicious omen pattern is in the shape of a "cross". The upper pattern is called "Gu Wu", the lower pattern is called "Ji Zhi", the left one is called "Fu" and the right one is called "Bi".

Generally speaking, "Gu Wu" indicates destiny, "Ji Zhi" indicates wealth, happiness, salary and longevity, "Fu" indicates the internal and the master, and "Bi" indicates ghosts, gods, enemies and the other party.

Of course, this is just the simplest judgment, and the reality is that the manifestation of the omen patterns will be very messy, and the things to be asked about are equally varied. Such messiness and variety require a rather complicated way to explain them.

The straightness of each line, the presence or absence of bifurcations, the direction of the curve, etc., must be combined with the matter being asked and the characteristics of the person asking the question to get an explanation.

Zhou Zhi is currently writing a paper, which is a continuation and deepening of the previous paper that demonstrates the relationship between the Jiahu inscriptions and ancient Yi language. The paper states that many Yi characters themselves come from this type of omen patterns, because their symbol writing and pronunciation are the same as the pronunciation of the omen patterns interpreted by the Bimos today, and their shapes are also similar.

There are at least a dozen Yi characters, which are themselves an abstraction of omen patterns. These abstractions are connected with the carvings left on pottery in sites such as Jiahu. The carvings left on the pottery in the Jiahu site may be a "pictographic reproduction" of the omen patterns of an important divination.

A character needs to have three elements: sound, shape, and meaning. And the strokes of a character cannot be too complicated, otherwise it will be a picture, which can also express meaning but is not easy to write and spread.

At the same time, it also needs to be a character system that is commonly accepted within a certain range. Individually created characters that are not widely recognized are not considered real characters.

If there are only a few isolated characters, it is difficult to express the vast amount of information about everything. Therefore, the text must be a symbol system composed of many characters. The fewer basic characters, the longer and more complex the combination of characters. The more basic characters, the simpler the information expressed.

Except for the last point, that is, the number and types of the discovered inscriptions are not large enough, the Jiahu inscriptions, if interpreted using ancient Yi language, have almost all of the above characteristics.

Although there is no direct evidence to prove that the Jiahu inscriptions have formed a written character system, if they are connected to a large number of Shang Dynasty bone divination customs and modern Yi language, then it seems reasonable that these two "non-isolated systems" were inherited from the Jiahu inscriptions.

The Yi people created the earliest characters by using the bone patterns of Nabu, which also provided the academic community with another guess about the origin of characters, which is also very interesting.

However, the three children who were watching were simply unable to understand any of this. To use a phrase from later generations, they were "not understanding but feeling awe-inspiring".

Finally, the smoke from the moxa ball disappeared. Lao Chi Ri closed his eyes in the middle of chanting. Now he felt the back of the burning spot with his hand and pressed the bone plate with his fingers. After the pattern appeared, he threw the bone plate to the ground.

"Pingwazi, bring some bones and shovel some wood ash over here."

Liang Guangping picked up the sheep bones tremblingly, went to the fire pit and shoveled some ash, "Grandpa Chi Ri, is that enough?" "Enough, give it to me, why are your hands shaking?" Old Chi Ri said with a smile.

Liang Guangping felt that he had never been so nervous even when he was doing the most important experiment in his life. He only breathed a sigh of relief after Lao Chi Ri took the bone.

Lao Chi Ri licked his fingers with his tongue, dipped his wet fingers in wood ash and rubbed them on the burned spots while chanting scriptures. The burn marks now became clearly visible.

"Comparing to the present and being straight, the elbow has an opponent, but the opponent has no ill intentions; Fu Xian Fu is curved upward, this matter will be of great benefit to the inside, and the inside also represents the owner; Gu Wu is curved downward, which also indicates good luck and great fortune, so this matter will help the future destiny of the elbow; the omen of Ji Zhi is the most clear, and the inner curve almost touches the burning point, which means peace and hunting."

"Hunted?" Liu Hongtao was puzzled. "What does that mean? This opponent will become Elbow's prey? Is he a human or something else?"

Old Chi Ri also breathed a sigh of relief: "Anyway, that's what Zhao Wen said, and it was just a coincidence that today's events happened, so I decided to do this divination. Now it looks like a good omen."

"Then let's go back and tell Elbow the good news." Li Lu is now itching to do so.

"There's no need for that. It's better for us to keep it a secret from him and see what Grandpa Chi Ri's divination today indicates." Liang Guangping and Liu Hongtao looked at each other, and this was the first thought that popped into their minds.

Just as the few people were walking back slowly, the anxious Zhou Zhi had already rushed to the gate of the grain station on Bai Feng.

Now that the communication line has been set up, Zhou Zhi logged into the Clover system at the grain station at about the same speed as logging in from the base's computer room.

An information technology company famous for its anti-virus software and firewalls was hacked using a method that it had researched but thought was difficult to implement. This was a slap in the face.

Especially since this hacker only made a breakthrough in the Clover system, this is a targeted slap in the face.

"Bighead Fish, I'm ready to go online now." Zhou Zhi dialed Hu Tianyu's mobile phone, and the two began communicating with each other via mobile phones.

There was no way around it. All of Clover's landline phones were controlled by the building's programmable switching system. The call could easily have been eavesdropped by hackers who had already broken into the system, so neither of them trusted the communication equipment in the building.

"Elbow, don't search for personal information after logging in." Hu Tianyu reminded: "The other party may also be analyzing your behavior. If you behave differently from usual, it may arouse the other party's vigilance."

"Damn! Didn't I come back for nothing?" Zhou Zhi was still panting as he sat in front of the computer: "Then you guys quickly come up with a reason for me to search for users in the system!"

"Elbow, you are so anxious that you are losing your mind! You are so unreasonable." Hu Tianyu was so angry that he laughed: "Wait, we will send you the password of Nuwa. You can use your own user to do normal things while using Nuwa to monitor the hacker user."

"That's right! I'm so anxious that I'm losing my mind." Zhou Zhi then realized that he still had a nuclear bomb like Nuwa in his hand.
