Riding the wind of rebirth

Chapter 1878 IEEE Senior Member

Chapter 1878 IEEE Senior Member
"This matter is quite complicated. Let's discuss it in detail when we meet." Zhou Zhi said, "Since she is still in Suihuaxuan, it will be easy to handle. Let's not alarm her for now."

"Then I'll come out to pick you up?"

"No, you're in the study? Let's meet in the study."

"Well, that girl basically goes into her room after dinner and doesn't come out, so it's unlikely that we'll meet her. So I'll wait for you in the study?"

Sui Huaxuan's large study still retains its previous layout, with mahogany furniture collected by Su Huaxuan in the past. Behind the desk is an antique shelf, on which are placed several pieces of porcelain from the Jiaqing, Daoguang and Tongzhi periods. Although the porcelain is not very old, these pieces of porcelain still have matching "bronze gallbladders", which are also very rare.

Many of the porcelains on display in the Qing Palace actually came with a copper tube with a trumpet-shaped mouth, which was just the right size to fit inside the porcelain. Some of them had a few small holes on the bottom. This could, on the one hand, lower the center of gravity of the porcelain to make it stand more stably, and on the other hand, it could be used to fix the branches when arranging flowers such as plum blossoms and osmanthus.

During the reign of Emperor Qianlong, there was a copper shortage. The copper movable type in Emperor Kangxi's Wuying Hall and many copper objects such as copper galls were sent out for recasting. As a result, very few copper galls have been passed down.

These copper-filled porcelain vessels are filled with peacock feathers, dried lotus pods, and twisted vine branches. They were all made by Zhou Zhi casually in those days and look quite elegant.

On the desk there is a screen, a pen holder, a pen stand, and an inkstone. On the right there is a couch for temporary rest. On the left there is a table with something that is out of place in this study room: Feng Xueshan's laptop.

On the wall hangs Chen Zhuo's meticulous painting "Water Village", and on both sides are couplets by Zeng Guofan, a famous official in the late Qing Dynasty: "Always watch the world with quiet interest, and have your own deep thoughts that connect the past and present."

Chen Zhuo was a painter during the reign of Emperor Kangxi. Later, Qin Zuyong praised him while expressing regret in his book Tongyin Lunhua: "Chen Zhongli is outstanding in his brushwork and is very good at painting flowers, plants, and figures. On a silk scroll, you can see thousands of hills and valleys on the tip of his brush. He has the precision of a Song painter, but unfortunately lacks the elegance of a Yuan painter. His problem is the same as that of Liu Shuxian. If he could carefully grasp the tip of his brush, it would not be difficult for him to match the ancients and pass on his legacy forever."

However, this style of painting that was "too rule-bound and not flexible enough" was highly appreciated by the court. During the Qianlong period, almost all of his paintings were received into the palace, becoming the representative of the court painting school.

This was something he got from the old house of the Yang family when he followed Fei Guantao. After careful restoration, Chen Zhuo's style of delicate brushstrokes and bright colors was completely restored.

The first painting hung here was a deer and monkey by Zhang Daqian's brother Zhang Shanzi. Feng Xueshan probably didn't like the black, white and gray monkey, so she replaced it with Chen Zhuo's work.

However, this also added some liveliness to the study, and Zhou Zhi thought it was a good change.

"Elbow." Feng Xueshan pulled Zhou Zhi into the room and closed the door. "What's going on with that girl named Mai?"

"Actually, you were the first one to discover this matter, and it finally fell into your hands. It must be fate." Zhou Zhi told Feng Xueshan the whole story.

"She? So powerful?" Feng Xueshan looked incredulous: "Even Li Dong and Dong Yu didn't notice it?"

"Well, even with our tight security measures, she still managed to slip through the net. If it weren't for your meticulousness, I don't know how long this matter would have been kept secret."

"I still can't quite believe it..." Feng Xueshan said in shock.

"What's wrong? What's her special code?"

"Look for yourself." Feng Xueshan opened her notebook and called up the surveillance video of Suihuaxuan. She soon found a girl in the video. The girl was walking from the hillside corridor to the lawn in front of Suihuaxuan. She looked not much older than Guan Tingting, and her face even had a little childishness. She was not very tall, wearing a knitted sweater, jeans and hiking shoes, and carrying an orange backpack. She walked in a hopping manner. When she passed by the osmanthus flowers, she stopped and raised her head to smell them a few times.

When she tilted her head back, her face was revealed, allowing Zhou Zhi to see it clearly. Her appearance could not be said to be absolutely beautiful, but she was also very pretty. Her forehead was as high as He Shiqing's, and she had a turned-up nose, a small mouth and big eyes. Most importantly, she had a special pure temperament.

Feng Xueshan hit the pause button: "That's it, you say he's a very powerful hacker? Who would believe it?"

"It seems like something..." Zhou Zhi looked at the innocent girl in the picture who was tilting her head back to smell the sweet-scented osmanthus. His originally confident mentality turned into hesitation: "Don't be busy yet, wait for me to make a call."

This call was made to Hong Kong Island, and the fax here was informed to the Business Intelligence Department of AXA Funds. Soon a document was sent over.

The information was quite long. Zhou Zhi only read the first few pages before exclaiming, "Oh my god, is this girl so awesome?"

"What's wrong?" The information was all in English. Although Feng Xueshan wrote English cursive very well, she could only copy. Her English level was actually at the junior college level, so she couldn't understand it.

Zhou Zhi did not explain the entire contents of the first few pages to Feng Xueshan. He just pointed to a line of small print: "This, IEEE Senior Member, considering her age, is really amazing."

"What is this?"

"IEEE stands for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, an international association of electronic technology and information science engineers."

“Its membership is roughly divided into five levels: Student Member, Affiliate to Member, Associate to Member, Senior Member and Fellow.”

"If you join IEEE as a student, you can obtain the qualification of Student Member; after graduating with a master's or doctoral degree, you can become a current member of either category;"

“Most members stop here. Only after reaching a certain level of academic achievement can they be elected as Senior members. The next level above Senior members is Fellow, the highest level.”

"Fellow is almost equivalent to our academician. There is also a Life Member, which is independent of the four membership levels. Members must be over 65 years old, and the sum of their age and membership time is equal to or greater than 100 years."

"That's a really weird rule."

"It's equivalent to the Oscar Lifetime Achievement Award." Zhou Zhi looked at the simple resume and shook his head. "IEEE recruits about 100 to 200 members from all over the world every year. Among them, Senior Member, Fellow and Life members are nominated by association members. Their number does not exceed one thousandth of the total number of members. It can be said that they are very rare. Those who can be nominated to these three positions are basically outstanding scientists who have made important achievements in the fields of science and engineering technology."

"If this Fellow is equivalent to an academician, then this Se...Se..."

"Senior Member, senior researcher."

"But you just said that the first two require a master's or doctoral degree." Feng Xueshan pointed at the girl on the computer screen and expressed her confusion: "Then how old was she when she went to college?!"
