Riding the wind of rebirth
Chapter 1958: Wonderful Scenery
Chapter 1958 Wonderful Scenes Along the Way
The scenery of Xiaoxiangling in early winter is very beautiful and quiet. Because the road is so long, there are not many tourists, and Zhou Zhi's voice can be heard clearly on the mountain road.
In his previous life, Zhou Zhi came to Lingshan Temple. An unpaved road had been built here, and cars could reach the foot of Lingshan Peak. There were only a thousand stone steps to the temple at the top of the peak.
But now this rough gravel road does not exist, so the car can only drive to the Qinglong River at the foot of Xiaoxiangling, and then start hiking.
The so-called Qinglong River is not a river, but a mountain stream with abundant water power, similar to the big stream in Jiuzhaigou, but the water quality is even better than that one.
Zhou Zhi knew that within a year or two a small mineral water factory would be built here and it would be used by Liangshan Prefecture itself, with decent benefits.
This factory does not exist now, but a large stream of natural mineral water gushes down so luxuriously, and the roar shakes the valley.
The altitude here is already quite high, and the scenery is different from places like Lianhe Township. Going up along the mountain stream, there are broad-leaved shrubs, coniferous forests, and thick tundra along the way.
The stream water gathers into pools in some places, but because the temperature is too low, the biological content in the water is very low. In addition, there is a lack of soil in the entire valley, and it is basically sand and gravel. The water is so transparent and clear that it seems invisible.
Only when the sunlight penetrates the water layer and casts shadows on the bottom of the pool that dance wildly like thousands of golden snakes can people intuitively feel that this is a pool of water, and not a gravel nest.
The road up the mountain is also very primitive and desolate. The pine forests on both sides are natural forests, different from the artificial forests seeded by aerial seeding. The trees are covered with usnea and moss, exactly the same as the primeval forest below the snow line.
Zhou Zhi has lived in the subtropical area for a long time, so such scenes are very rare. The impression I have seems to be that I took two foreigners from Japan and South Korea to Mount Emei, and the scenery on the road below the Golden Summit was somewhat similar to the scenery here.
But on that stretch of road, you can't see the magnificent sight on the left side of the road - a huge snow-capped mountain rising from the ground.
The scene of golden mountains in the sunshine has been seen many times on TV, computer and postcards, but the visual effect of the snow-capped mountains under the golden sunlight is completely different from what we see now.
Now a group of people are going up the mountain. The steps of the mountain road are quite steep. On the left of the group is a primeval forest, on the right is a moss meadow, and the Great Snow Mountain is just behind the moss meadow. Although it is very far away, because there is no other obstruction behind the moss meadow slope, the Great Snow Mountain seems to be within reach.
Zhou Zhi, Mai Xiaomiao, and Chi Xueli all made almost the same action, which was to raise their hands and stretch them out, wanting to touch the snow-capped mountain that was glowing with golden light, and then they realized that their action was a bit silly.
Then everyone smiled at each other, picked up their cameras and video cameras, and started filming this rare and magnificent sight.
After walking a short distance further up, the view changed again. The snow-capped mountains meandered down and connected from afar, like a curved barrier with a downhill slope. The tall peaks under the distant half of the skyline were covered with snow, but the shorter peaks under the half of the skyline closer to the crowd were not.
Whether it exists or not, the overall barrier is Xiaoxiangling.
There are also some streams and lakes between the snow-capped mountains, such as the Lingshan River near here. The source of the main ditch is about 3500 meters above sea level. It seems that a black gourd was painted there by a fairy with a brush.
That is the Mo Yu Sea. The northern peak by the Mo Yu Sea is covered with snow all year round. There are sparse spruce and clumps of rhododendron on the cliffs. The eastern hillside extends slowly, and the silver plate glacier of the Shishan ridge extends into the forest. At the water outlet at the bottom of the gourd on the west, there are clusters of short shrubs on the lawn. They are the high mountain rhododendrons called "Soma" by the Yi people, and there are rugged rocks dotted in between.
The seawater there looks pitch black from a distance, but it is actually meltwater from snow-capped mountains. It is clear and dust-free. Located on the east foot of the main peak of Lingshan Mountain, at the source of the Lingshan River South Branch Stream, there is also a lake there. Because the sea area is composed of red igneous rocks, the seawater is red when you walk up the mountain, so it is called the Red Sea.
The altitude there is higher than that of Moyu Sea, about 4000 meters above sea level. It is shaped like a kidney, consisting of two lakes connected to each other. The surrounding area of the sea is basically covered with snow-capped peaks, shaped like a city plate. Now there are light clouds passing by, and the reflected sunlight makes the area golden, and the sky and water are the same color.
Although everyone was envious, it was completely impossible to get there. First, there was no road, and second, the distance was too far. Although it was clearly visible, it was actually at least dozens of kilometers away.
Therefore, there are only “beautiful mountains and beautiful waters that are too beautiful to be seen”.
As you go up, you can find many unique cultural landscapes, such as a large prismatic stone on the side of the road, with a human figure holding something in front of his chest carved on the left, and a Tibetan classic on the right, but the title is in four-character Chinese seal script. It's as strange as it can be.
"What is this?" Everyone looked at Zhou Zhi, naturally thinking that he could solve this question.
"I really don't know about this." Zhou Zhi shook his head: "But I can take a photo and send it to Master Danzeng in our school. He will definitely be able to answer this question."
"The 'Six-Character Mantra' is engraved in seal script on the top of this stele, but the content is in Tibetan. There are many similar images of people engraved on this side in the Dunhuang murals, called 'offering people'. Their posture is called 'holding treasures and praying for blessings'."
"The characters are also modeled after the crowns and costumes of ethnic minorities. This is completely beyond my knowledge." Zhou Zhi shook his head: "I don't even have the ability to determine the era."
"Hehe!" Wu Renzhong gloated: "Finally there is something your kid doesn't know!"

"There are so many things I don't know!" Zhou Zhi said with a smile, "If you don't believe me, ask Xiao Miao. I don't understand the models she's making now at all."
“If you want to learn…” Mai Xiaomiao, still holding the camera in his hand, turned his head when he heard that.
“No, no, no…” Zhou Zhi was so scared that he waved his hands repeatedly: “I’d better continue to study liberal arts! Xiaomiao, please spare me!”
"Actually, I think you're still okay, Elbow. At least you can discuss some programs with Xiao Miao." Wu Renzhong pointed at the stone tablet and said, "When I look at the things on your screen, it's almost the same as looking at this stone!"
Not far away, we found another similar stone tablet. Its shape was also very peculiar. There were rolling cloud patterns on the upper part of the stone tablet, and a lion was carved on the lower part. There were three lines of Tibetan characters engraved in the middle. The writing was simple and neat, but I didn't recognize this Zhou Zhi either.
However, there are lions carved on the stone tablet, which means that these Tibetan characters may not be real Tibetan characters. To be more precise, they may be Sanskrit.
The Great Wisdom Discourse records that among four-legged beasts, the lion is unique in being fearless and able to subdue everything. The Buddha is also like this. Among the ninety-six kinds of heretics, he can subdue them all without fear, so he is called "the Lion of Buddha."
After this theory was spread to the snowy areas, people combined it with the local Bon religion legends and evolved it into a mythical beast with green mane and white hair, called the snow lion.
The great yogis in Tibet often compare themselves to snow lions. For example, in his songs, Milarepa compares himself to a snow lion.
The lion on this stone tablet is undoubtedly this kind of lion, so this is actually proof that this area was once influenced by Tibetan Buddhism.
