But internal boxers don't have to worry about these at all.

Lu Qing's body is like a dragon and a tiger, so it's hard for mere sound waves to damage him.

After he understood the essence of marrow washing, he immediately opened the Liangyi pile and urged all the strength in his body to start training the marrow.

At the beginning, Lu Qing only felt itchy all over his body, as if countless ants were crawling in his bone marrow.

Later, the itching gradually turned into numbness, and the whole body trembled slightly like an electric shock.

After that, there will be occasional itching and numbness, and the two will continue to alternate.

In the end, the numbness and itching were gone, only the warmth remained, and the whole body was warm, as if the whole person was soaking in a hot spring, and the whole body was comfortable!

This warm and comfortable feeling lasted for a long time, Lu Qing was so addicted to it that he forgot the time.

And this small experiment lasted for a full three hours!
If it wasn't for Lu Zhu's notification, Lu Qing wouldn't even know that he stood there for so long!

But the one who was most surprised was not Lu Qing, but Lu Zhu who taught him the Marrow Cleansing Sutra.

Although this Sutra of Washing the Marrow is the supreme magic method taught by Bodhidharma, it is very dangerous to practice. If you are not careful, you will damage the meridians. If you are not careful, you will lose all your martial arts, and if you are serious, your whole body will be cut off and you will die!

Ordinary warriors have to train their meridians three or four years in advance to adapt to the shock of internal strength, and then they can start to practice the Marrow Cleansing Sutra.

Only one or two years of practice can make some small achievements, and it takes six or seven years to expel the impurities in the body and truly achieve the effect of washing the marrow.

Lu Qing didn't have any preparations, so he just started to practice, and in three hours he was better than others who had worked hard for six or seven years!
But there's really nothing surprising about that.

Lu Qing swallowed two demon pills, and his body contained 2000 years of skill, but because he didn't practice the marrow method, the absorption of the skill was delayed, and the energy was locked by the phoenix blood.

Now that he started to practice the marrow, it was as if a gap had been opened. Under the impact of that huge energy, it is not difficult to wash the marrow in the Book of Changes.

Now, Lu Qing has officially embarked on the path of extraordinaryness!

He already has the methods of training marrow and viscera, and the rest is hard work. As long as he perseveres, sooner or later he will be able to practice the inner and outer harmony, and achieve the great elixir of the human body!
The road to land immortals is already smooth!
The excitement in Lu Qing's heart was so self-sufficient that he couldn't help but let out a long cry——

Ha ha ha ha!
The sound was like Mount Tai cracking, like thunder, deafening, even Lu Zhu, who had unparalleled internal strength, was shaken so that his eardrums hurt.

Before parting, Lu Zhu gave Lu Qing a Buddhist verse:
all dharma,
You have your own mind.

Seek outside your heart,

Shefu fled.

This Buddhist gatha was written by Zen Master Shenxiu of the Gradual Enlightenment School of Zen Buddhism.

The first two sentences are easy to understand, to the effect that all supernatural powers come from sentient beings themselves.

The last two sentences are allusions, and "fleeing away from one's father" is a classic case in Buddhist scriptures:

There was a man who was separated from his father because of the war and became a beggar. When he grew up, he had to go to the home of his biological father, who had become a wealthy businessman, to beg for food.

The father recognized his son, took him home to take care of him, and handed over his wealth to him.

But the beggar didn't recognize his father, thinking that he must be uneasy and kind to him for being so kind to him, and he wanted to murder him, so he ran away at night.

This Buddhist gatha is to warn all living beings that all supernatural powers come from all living beings themselves. Only by learning and realizing by oneself can we continuously strengthen ourselves and finally realize self-salvation.

If you don't dig out your own endless treasures and instead seek the protection of gods and Buddhas, you will be as stupid as the beggar who left his father and ran away.

This sounds a bit outrageous, and it is even more contrary to the viewpoint of Huineng of the Epiphany School.

This is also the reason why Shenxiu lost to Huineng and finally failed to become the sixth patriarch of Zen.

It is rumored that the fifth patriarch, Zen master Hongren, wanted to pass on the mantle, and ordered all his disciples to compose Buddhist gatha to test their wisdom roots.

Shenxiu wrote a Buddhist verse saying:

The body is a bodhi tree,
The heart is like a mirror.

Wipe frequently,
Do not make dust.

All the disciples were convinced, but Zen Master Hongren felt that his Buddhist gatha did not reveal the true nature.

Hou Hui Neng wrote a Buddhist verse saying:
There is no bodhi tree,
The mirror is not a platform either.

There was nothing,
Where is the dust?
This Buddhist gatha was greatly appreciated by Chan Master Hongren, who said that Hui Neng's enlightenment was extraordinary, and the Buddhist gatha pointed directly to his original heart, so he passed on the mantle and bowl to him, and became the sixth patriarch of Zen Buddhism.

Therefore, later generations often say that Hui Neng's comprehension is superior to Shenxiu.

Lu Qing didn't think so, Shenxiu didn't lose because of his comprehension, but because he wasn't idealistic enough.

Shenxiu advocates gradual enlightenment, exhorting the world to study Buddhist classics and understand the teachings, so as to gradually improve the state of mind and wipe away the dust in the heart little by little, just like wiping off the dust on the mirror.

This is in line with the materialist point of view: knowledge comes from practice.

But Hui Neng advocates sudden enlightenment, and believes that everyone has the root of wisdom, and there is no need to stick to the teachings, and there is no need to deliberately study Buddhist classics.

This is utter idealism.

As for why the materialistic Shenxiu finally lost to the idealistic Huineng, the reason is actually very simple:
Because Zen is ultimately a religion, not a school.

Religion needs believers, not scholars.

Obviously, Huineng's Epiphany School can gain more believers.

Because you don't have to do anything, and you don't have to learn the difficult and obscure Buddhist scriptures. As long as you often recite "Amitabha", you will become a Buddha immediately when you suddenly realize it.

Facts have also proved this point. The Sixth Patriarch Huineng has indeed carried forward Zen Buddhism, and he has also become the most representative figure of Zen Buddhism after Bodhidharma.

But this does not mean that Shenxiu is inferior to Huineng, he just lost because of inappropriateness.

Talking about materialism in religious Zen Buddhism is naturally inferior to Hui Neng who is completely idealistic.

But Lu Qing himself is biased towards Shenxiu.

All this way, he relied on his own accumulation bit by bit. From practicing boxing hard for more than ten years, to swallowing two inner alchemy after a narrow escape, none of them relied on epiphany.

He feels that he is not the kind of evildoer with outstanding understanding, and he believes in his own efforts.

As for why Lu Zhu gave him this verse, it was probably because he wanted him to stick to his heart.

Lu Zhu was afraid that he would deceive his heart because of his powerful power, so he warned him to wipe it frequently so as not to stir up dust.
