Chapter 47 Meditation
Lu Qing said he wants to meditate, one is to preserve Zen Buddhism, and the other is that he really wants to improve his spiritual realm.

All the way along the way, he practiced physical training and rarely touched the spiritual and spiritual levels, so his cognition and control of spiritual power were very immature, which made him unable to control his divinity leaked out.

Now that the spiritual treasure house of Zen Buddhism is in front of him, he naturally cannot miss it.

You know, Zen Buddhism is the banner bearer of idealism!

Not to mention others, Huineng, the famous sixth patriarch of Zen Buddhism, is a representative of idealism.

There is a classic example of Huineng's idealism:
Sometimes the wind blows and the flag moves.

One monk said the wind was moving, and the other monk said the flag was moving.

There was a lot of discussion.

Hui Neng Jin said: It is not the wind that moves, nor the flag moves, but the heart of the benevolent.

When two young monks saw the wind blowing the flags, one said it was the wind and the other said it was the flags, but Hui Neng said, "It's not the wind or the flags, but the heart is moving."

That is to say, the reason why you see the banner moving is because you feel it moving in your heart.

This is exactly the same as Wang Yangming's thought on the study of mind.

Wang Yangming believes that there is nothing outside the mind, and there is no reason outside the mind.

Someone once pointed to a flower and asked him: "There is nothing in the world beyond my heart. If flowers and trees bloom and fall in the mountains, what does it have to do with my heart?"

Wang Yangming replied: "When you haven't looked at this flower, this flower has died together with you. When you look at this flower, the color of this flower has become clear for a moment. You know that this flower is not outside your heart."

It means that if you don’t look at the flower, it has nothing to do with you whether it blooms or not. Only when you come to see the flower can you know whether it is blooming or not, and what color it is, so you can see it because you have the flower in your heart first. to flower.

Idealism believes that the world originates from consciousness, and consciousness has the primary nature.

As the base camp of idealism, Zen Buddhism is naturally indispensable for the study of the mind and spirit.

After the people outside the mountain gate retreated, Lu Qing immediately found Zen Master Yuanjing, and sincerely expressed his hope that he could go to the Sutra Pavilion to learn the essence of Buddhism, so as to wash away the hostility in his heart with the Dharma.

There are five floors in the Buddhist scripture pavilion of Zen Buddhism. The first and second floors are full of Buddhist scriptures, and the last three floors are for martial arts secret books.

Lu Qing has no interest in martial arts secret books, he just wants to absorb nutrients from the wisdom accumulated in Zen Buddhism for thousands of years, strengthen his spiritual realm and control his spiritual power.

He also explained this to Zen Master Yuanjing, saying that he would not covet Zen martial arts, and only read Buddhist scriptures on the first and second floors.

Yuan Jing agreed to Lu Qing without hesitation.

One is that he has a good impression of Lu Qing, knowing that he is a man who walks the talk.

The second is that he has seen Lu Qing's methods and knows that his martial arts attainments have reached the extreme level, so he will not covet other martial arts.

People in this world who can practice martial arts to the extreme will have their own foundation and unique understanding, and any other martial arts will no longer fall into his eyes.

Seeing Zen Master Yuanjing's trust in him, Lu Qing was deeply moved, and at the same time admired his open-minded state of mind.

There are very few people in this world who can be so open-minded. Zen Master Yuanjing is indeed the head of Zen Buddhism.

Lu Qing did not delay after obtaining the consent of Zen Master Yuanjing, and quickly entered the Sutra Pavilion under the leadership of a young novice monk.

This place is not as magnificent as others imagined, and it is not even considered spacious. After removing a few bookshelves, there are only a few paths for people to move around.

Lu Qing took a look at it casually. There are actually not many books stored on this floor. They are basically Zen classics, including "Heart Sutra", "Diamond Sutra", "Langa Sutra", "Surangama Sutra", "Sixth Patriarch Sutra" Altar Sutra, etc.

Because Zen Buddhism pays attention to imprinting the heart with the heart and not leaving words, there are not many dictionaries left here. In addition to classics such as the "Heart Sutra", there are also some commentaries and manuscripts of Zen eminent monks in the past. It can be said that except for those that can only be read The things that are understood, the most essential things of Zen teachings are all in this small room.

Lu Qing picked up a copy of the "Heart Sutra" and began to read it: Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, who practiced the deep prajna paramita for a long time, saw that the five aggregates were all empty, and endured all hardships.
Honestly, I don't understand.

His Buddhist cultivation is too low, and it is really difficult to read these obscure classics directly.

After putting away the "Heart Sutra" in his hand, Lu Qing walked forward and found a copy of "Heart Sutra Notes" written by an eminent Zen monk.

These are the eminent monk's annotations to the "Heart Sutra" and some of his own insights. There are some more vivid examples in it. It is much easier to read than the "Heart Sutra" just now.

The original text of the "Heart Sutra" is not long, and the whole text is only more than 200 words, but this "Annotation to the Heart Sutra" has tens of thousands of words, but Lu Qing is much easier to read than the "Heart Sutra" with hundreds of words.

The master who wrote this "Notes on the Heart Sutra" not only has profound Buddhism, but also explains the Heart Sutra in a simple way, and the words are humorous. Not only is it not boring to read, but it is very joyful, just like listening to an elder telling you some of his young people after dinner. fun times.

Lu Qing was also fascinated at first glance, and he especially liked some interesting and thought-provoking stories recorded in the book. He would also follow some guidelines in the book to think about the hidden philosophical logic behind the stories and some laws of the world's operation.

Before he knew it, Lu Qing had finished reading the [-]-character Annotation to the Heart Sutra, and he had a general understanding of some Zen thoughts, as well as a shallow understanding of the Heart Sutra.

Then he turned his head to read the original "Heart Sutra", combined with the contents of the "Heart Sutra Notes", he could roughly understand it, but he still couldn't understand some of the obscure parts.

He focused on writing down a few things he didn't understand, and then began to look for some annotations to the "Heart Sutra" left by eminent monks in the Sutra Pavilion.

Lu Qing, who was immersed in the book, completely forgot the passage of time. It was already night after he read the last commentary on the "Heart Sutra" on this floor. Strolled back to his room.

Afterwards, he began to practice the Immortal Body Refining Technique without even eating dinner.

Although spiritual cultivation is very important, physical cultivation cannot be neglected. After all, he must cultivate his blood vessels to the extreme within four years, otherwise he will die.

Besides, he also wanted to know if he could enter that magical spiritual world again.

The last time he was able to enter that miraculous state of forgetting both things and me when he was completely immersed in practicing, this time he also wanted to try.

After all, his cognition of the spiritual world is like a newborn baby's cognition of the material world.

Only by constantly entering the spiritual world, constantly exploring, and constantly trying, can he have a deeper understanding of the spiritual world.

Moreover, after his consciousness enters the spiritual world, his body is still cultivating, and the process of body training will not be delayed. It can be said that he kills two birds with one stone.
