Sitting upright in the pure land was a fossil-like figure that had never moved since ancient times. He was clasping his hands together and reciting scriptures in a low voice.

A grand and magnificent sound of Zen singing and chanting also came.

"Fill hundreds of billions of worlds of Ganges sand, each world transforms hundreds of billions of bodies, each body saves hundreds of billions of people, make them return to the Three Jewels, leave life and death forever, and reach the bliss of Nirvana...

However, for the good deeds in the Buddhist teachings, one hair, one tree, one grain of sand, one dust, or even the slightest hair, I will gradually get rid of it, so that I will gain great benefits...

As Xuan Chengzi approached quickly in the chasing car, the sound of chanting disappeared immediately, and the hundreds of millions of evil spirits and ghosts suddenly woke up, whistling and turning into puffs of black smoke, scattered into every corner of the Yin Mountain, and the Yin Mountain suddenly Empty down.

"Amitabha--"

The gate of the palace was opened, and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, wearing a Vairocana crown on his head and holding a Zen staff, walked out of the ten thousand-zhang Buddha light, clasped his hands together, bowed his head respectfully and said: "The poor monk has seen the Taoist brother!"

Xuan Chengzi nodded slightly, put away the chasing car, and bowed back to Jizang.

"I came to the underworld to find out the whereabouts of an old friend, so I stopped by to see you."

Xuan Chengzi explained the purpose of coming with a smile, and then chatted casually: "How about it, after a year, is it good for you to stay in this hell?"

Ksitigarbha smiled slightly, and a touch of emotion flashed in his eyes, "Thank you for your concern, Brother Dao. The poor monk has no worries, no worries and no disasters in this hell, and I feel very at ease!"

Xuan Chengzi glanced at him and saw that his treasure was solemn, and he didn't seem to be lying.

But this hell is like Xuan Chengzi's back garden, he knows the situation of Ji Zang clearly.

Dizang is indeed carefree here, free from disasters and worries, but several yuanhuis have passed since the opening of the Buddhist sect, and the number of people from the Buddhist sect who have come here to visit him can be counted on one hand.

He seems to have been abandoned by Buddhism!
This solitary Yin mountain is shaped like a prison.

Indeed, this is the path he chose, but it was a sacrifice made for the former Western religion, not for the current Western Buddhism!

After the two sages of the West left, Ksitigarbha also experienced an unprecedented loneliness.

It would be fine if he was an ordinary Buddhist disciple, but he is a direct disciple of the Second Saint of the West!
In the past, among the many disciples of the Second Saint of the West, he, Pharmacist and Maitreya were equal in terms of morality and status, forming a tripartite confrontation.

But now, both of them have become Buddhas and ancestors, but he is still just a bodhisattva.

However, the head of the bodhisattvas who do not see the sun all the year round and cannot even see their own shadows is just a nice name.

In fact, no one took him seriously at all!
Of course, these are Xuan Chengzi's own understandings. Ksitigarbha Yijiu has been chanting sutras every day for tens of thousands of years to save resentful souls and ghosts and enter the immeasurable Buddha kingdom.

These resentful souls will be reincarnated in countless Buddhist kingdoms and become the most devout Buddhists.

They will not worry about food and clothing, shelter, and difficult road ahead...

In the immeasurable Buddha Kingdom, all material desires will be satisfied and spiritual desires will be pursued instead.

Buddha is their greatest spiritual pursuit and sustenance.

While worshiping, prostrating and worshiping Buddha, they will also continuously provide the power of faith for Buddhism.

It's a complementary relationship.

The Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva liberated them from the hells of suffering and evil, reincarnated in countless Buddha lands, and enjoyed bliss and abundance from then on... All of these preconditions are that they believe in Buddhism and become devout Buddhists.

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva played a vital role in it!
It can be said that if he hadn't been in the underworld for tens of thousands of years to save resentful souls and ghosts, Buddhism would not have been able to open up countless Buddhist kingdoms in just a few yuanhui, let alone be as prosperous as it is today.

That's why Xuan Chengzi visited him at the first time when the Buddhism was first established. While establishing a good relationship with him, he also left a nail in the heart of the Buddha Dingguang Tathagata.

Now it seems that this nail has a remarkable effect.

Otherwise, given the importance of Ksitigarbha to Western Buddhism, the current phenomenon of almost isolating him should not have occurred.

For such a phenomenon to occur today, there is a high probability that the master of Western Buddhism no longer hides so trustingly.

After all, in a sense, it is not an exaggeration to regard Xuan Chengzi as the lifelong enemy of Dingguang Tathagata!
Since the two met for the first time, the former Taoist Ran Deng and now Ding Guang Tathagata have experienced a series of blows.

The two have fought against each other more than ten times in various fields, and without exception, they all ended in disastrous defeats in Dingguang Tathagata.

After discovering that Ksitigarbha and Xuan Chengzi have a close relationship in private, and that Xuan Chengzi is highly respected, if Dingguang Tathagata has no lumps in his heart, it is abnormal!
Ksitigarbha is not a fool, and he can naturally recall it afterwards.

Xuan Chengzi nodded slightly, and said with a smile: "I can understand your thoughts, so naturally you won't force others to make things difficult."

A touch of emotion appeared in Dizang's eyes, and after a moment of pondering, he still said seriously: "Brother Dare to ask, is Mahayana Buddhism under the banner of Taoism?"

Xuan Chengzi shook his head resolutely, and said without hesitation: "Mahayana Buddhism has nothing to do with Taoism!"

After a pause, he added: "At most it's just a win-win relationship!"

Dizang nodded slightly, a flash of relief flashed in his eyes.

He bowed solemnly, "If Brother Dao wants the poor monk to join Mahayana Buddhism, you only need to give an order, and the poor monk will definitely obey!"

Maybe he had already had the idea of ​​joining Mahayana Buddhism before. After all, Shakyamuni Buddha is the central Buddha conferred by the two sages of the West. The current Buddha should be the real master of Buddhism!

"This is too grand, how can a poor monk afford it..."

Before he could finish speaking, Jinguanghuiming Bodhisattva laughed loudly and said, "Since Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is willing to join my Mahayana Buddhism, we will be a family from now on. Since we are a family, don't say such things again."

Dizang suddenly didn't know what to say.

This Mahayana Buddhism seems to be a little different from what he imagined!

However, this feeling of being valued makes people feel comfortable.

At this time, Duobao looked at him, and said calmly: "Ksitigarbha, if you want to cancel your ambition, I can share the backlash of karma for you."

Guanshiyin Bodhisattva objected: "World Honored One, there is no need to do this! There are more than a thousand Bodhisattvas and Arhats in our teaching, and each of them can share one-thousandth of the power of cause and effect, which can help Earth Store to escape the restriction of great ambitions."

Jinguang Huiming Bodhisattva laughed loudly and said, "There are so many brothers in our teaching...cough cough, so many Bodhisattvas and Arhats, it's nothing to share a bit of karmic backlash."

For thousands of years, this great ambition confined him to the underworld.

There is no end in sight, no end in sight!

He also thought about canceling the great ambition, but then he would have to suffer the backlash of karma and pay a huge price.

This price may be karma, it may be a large amount of merit deduction, and it may even be punished by heaven...

Generally speaking, the more benefits he gains through his great ambition, the greater the backlash he will suffer!

So no matter which one, it is a consequence that he cannot bear.

Therefore, it is just an unrealistic idea for him to get rid of his great ambition.

But now, as soon as he nodded to join Mahayana Buddhism, the leader Duobao Tathagata proposed to share the backlash of karma for him.

Doesn't the Master, the World Honored One, know the significance of his stay in the underworld?

Not only that, but even those former Taoist disciples, and now Bodhisattvas, Arhats, etc. have spoken out one after another, willing to share the cause and effect for themselves.

From the beginning to the end, no one mentioned such things as saving resentful souls, developing believers, and building an immeasurable Buddha kingdom.

It seems that in their eyes, these are dispensable.

And all this is because of the sentence "We will be a family from now on".

Dizang was extremely moved in his heart, and at the same time, he also had some indescribably strange feelings.

Did he join Buddhism that was practiced as a monk, or a human gang that fought for territory and valued loyalty?
