Chapter 346 Three Star Stacks Ended 3 Paragraph

Chapter 346
The excavation of Sanxingdui has only just begun.

Although, six sacrificial pits were newly discovered.

Moreover, more than [-] pieces (sets) of bronze, gold, and jade ware related to the sacrificial culture have been unearthed in the six sacrificial pits.

However, compared with the huge and mysterious ancient Shu civilization, which once ruled the Sichuan Basin more than 3000 years ago, these cultural relics are simply less than 1% of the civilization.

The current exploration results in Guanghan have shown that at least one area of more than 12 square kilometers was once the Sanxingdui civilization, or the capital area of the ancient Shu people.

On such a large piece of land, there are too many unsolved mysteries, which are still waiting for archaeologists to discover and explore.

Three months after Chen Han and Zhuang Yunpeng supported the excavation of Pit No. [-] in Sanxingdui, they extracted all the artifacts in Sanxingdui.

A total of more than 6000 numbered cultural relics were extracted from Pit No. [-].

A total of nearly 1.4 numbered cultural relics have been extracted from the Sanxingdui sacrificial pit.

Pit No. [-] is mainly divided into three categories, gold wares, bronze wares and ivory wares.

There are hundreds of tusks, both intact and broken.

There are thousands of bronze wares of various kinds, among which more than 70 bronze human heads are more special, the number exceeds the sum of bronze heads unearthed from Pit No. 1986 and No. ’ and art has pivotal importance.

In addition, the other cultural relics in Pit No. [-] are not so "shocking". They are nothing more than some special beasts, masks, and common bronze ritual vessels, wine vessels and the like.

The most important "text" has not been found. For Chen Han, this archaeological work is considered a "failed" archaeology.

Without words, it is difficult to explore the deeper cultural background behind the Sanxingdui civilization, and it is impossible to know the specific historical origin and past of this civilization.

Unlike the "Zeng Guo Noble Tombs", one can rely on the Zhongdingwen on the bronze wares to decipher the identities of these nobles during their lifetime.

There is even a lineage of the Zeng (Sui) monarch that is not bad.

For the Sanxingdui civilization, even now it is uncertain whether they are related to the Cancong, Baiguan, Yufu, Du Yu and other ancient Shu regimes recorded in history.

This question is destined to be impossible to answer until there is no conclusive written evidence.

After three months of busy digging in Sanxingdui, all the cultural relics in the No. [-] sacrificial pit were extracted and delivered to the cultural relics restoration department of Sanxingdui.

Chen Han and other archaeologists supported by the Institute of Archeology of the Academy of Social Sciences have completed the excavation work in Sanxingdui.

The follow-up research work on Sanxingdui culture and cultural relics will be taken over by the local specialized Sanxingdui Archaeological Institute.

In the foreseeable next few decades, the Sanxingdui Institute of Cultural Relics and Archeology will undertake the huge task of studying the Sanxingdui site.

For decades, in every excavation season, the archaeological forces in the province and the institute are organized to carry out field excavation work on the huge land within 12 kilometers of the Sanxingdui site.

Until the discovery of the next sacrificial pit, or the ruins of the capital, or even the ruins of the palace, or any other important site, it will attract the next wave of national attention.

Then archaeological forces from all over the country gathered in Sanxingdui again to embark on a new round of exploration of Sanxingdui civilization.

Until, the entire Sanxingdui ruins were excavated, until the Chinese people figured out the origin of this civilization that lasted from 5000 years ago to 3000 years ago and suddenly died out.

Of course, the ancient pre-Qin sites in the Sichuan Basin are far more than Sanxingdui.

There is also Baodun Culture, the earliest archaeological culture that can be traced back to the Chengdu Plain so far, which is earlier than Sanxingdui.

There is also the Shierqiao Culture later than Sanxingdui, including the Shierqiao Site and the Jinsha Site.

There is also the later late Shu culture, which is about the "Enlightened Dynasty" from the end of the Spring and Autumn Period to the Warring States Period, that is, the Shu Kingdom that was eventually destroyed by the Qin Kingdom.

In the next few decades, local archaeological forces in Sichuan will conduct continuous archaeological excavations around these four large cultural sites.

When we descendants want to try to understand the civilization of Shu, we can only get a glimpse of the truth of civilization from the clues of ruins and cultural relics.

Perhaps, on the land of China 3000-5000 years ago, such a civilization existed.

She is independent from the Central Plains civilization, has its own unique political structure and religious beliefs, but continues to communicate and integrate with the Central Plains civilization.

They mastered advanced alchemy techniques and astrological divination abilities.

Like modern people, I like to look at the starry sky in the dead of night, looking at the starry sky and thinking about the relationship between people and the world.

They have an almost obsessive fascination with the sun, moon and stars.

Not only did they create the sun light wheel for sacrifices and the bronze tree symbolizing the universe, but they also made bronze statues of the "clairvoyance and wind ears" they aspired to be.

But for some reason, their splendid civilization suddenly disappeared in an instant.

On a calm and ordinary day, it suddenly disappeared into the long river of history...

All these fogs are quietly lying deep in the soil of the Sichuan Basin, waiting for future generations to reveal all the truth.

This is a brilliant civilization, but also a civilization worthy of admiration.

It is a bright star in our Chinese civilization!
After the press conference on the excavation results of Sanxingdui ended, more than ten days passed.

Chen Han, Zhuang Yunpeng and others ended their business trip to Sanxingdui, and embarked on the flight back to the capital with their luggage.

As a famous archaeological discovery all over the world, being able to participate in the archaeology of Sanxingdui, even if it is only one of the sacrificial pits, is enough to make an archaeologist proud for a lifetime.

However, it didn't take long for Chen Han and Zhuang Yunpeng to be proud and happy.

After getting off the plane, Kong Jianwen called them back to the Institute of Archaeology, Academy of Social Sciences before they even had time to put down their luggage.

Institute of Archaeology, Academy of Social Sciences, Xia, Shang and Zhou Archaeological Research Office, Director's Office.

Kong Jianwen held a teacup in his hand, and after taking a big gulp of strong tea, he kindly said to Chen Han and the others who came back to report on their work:
"Xiao Chen, Xiao Zhuang, you have worked hard!"

Chen Han and Zhuang Yunpeng quickly laughed and said, "It's not hard work. It's too late to be happy to be able to participate in the country's important archaeological excavation work. How can it be hard work!"

That's what I said, but Chen Han and Zhuang Yunpeng's thoughts had already gone to the clouds.

Generally speaking, after completing an archaeological project, everyone can get a few months of rest and vacation.

It's not really a break, it's just that I'm back in the nine-to-five working environment, and I can sit in the office leisurely and write excavation reports and so on.

For archaeologists who spend half a year digging at the construction site, sitting comfortably in the office is already a rest.

The two of them are thinking about this beautiful thing now.

However, Kong Jianwen's next sentence shattered their dreams.

"It's fine if you don't work hard!"

"Then pack up and take a good rest for two days."

"Let's go to Yuhang with the big army next week!"

Chen Han was dumbfounded.

"what?!"

"Yu Hang?!"

The current archeology of Sanxingdui is far from complete.

  Or even just getting started.

Moreover, after the six sacrificial pits were dug, it was announced that it would no longer publish any archaeological results of Sanxingdui.

Therefore, the interpretation of Sanxingdui is basically a cloud of fog. Except for all kinds of exquisite bronzes, it is impossible to explore more.
