After seeing the Buddha, the old woman cried and said, "I only have one son, and he is dead now. I want my son to come back to life." The Buddha said, "I have a way to bring your son back to life." The old woman hurriedly asked What is the way.The Buddha said: "As long as you can find the auspicious fire, I can bring your son back to life." After hearing this, the old woman thanked the Buddha very much.

Auspicious fire refers to the fire in a home where no one has ever died.

The old woman went from house to house to look for auspicious fire. She searched for it all day, but returned empty-handed.

At this time, the Buddha said to her: "Everyone has to experience the process of birth, old age, sickness and death. Now you know, not only your family has died, but which family has not died?"...

After hearing this, the old woman had an epiphany and understood the truth of the impermanence of life and death.

Later, she followed the Buddha to become a monk and practiced, and attained the first fruit of Su Tua Heng.

"Have you ever had your husband die?" What I want to express is: has anyone died in your family? Do you know what it feels like when a loved one dies?As a monk, what about your compassionate heart! "

Afterwards, the girl told the truth to the old woman, and the old woman said angrily: "I have supported only a vulgar man for twenty years!" Afterwards, she drove away the monks and burned down the thatched cottage.

The highest state of Buddhist practice is not to eliminate desires, but to let nature take its course, restore self-nature, and achieve great freedom.

"Records of Consciousness-Only" says: There are many types of afflictions and obstacles, and self-attachment is the root, and all afflictions arise.It can be seen that being obsessed with oneself is the biggest stumbling block on the road of human growth.If you can get rid of self-attachment, all the troubles in life will disappear.

From this we can see why Chen Xuanzang, played by Cao Jun, did not become a Buddha in the early and middle stages of the film.
