America 1881: They Call Me Legend

Chapter 307 Political Marriage

In the Governor's Mansion, the potbellied Gutierrez paced back and forth.

This mansion originally belonged to a Spanish governor, but since the governor withdrew, it has belonged to the Gutierrez family.

The furnishings in the room have hardly changed much, except that the flag hanging on the wall has changed from the Spanish Empire to the Mexican Republic, then to the Mexican Empire, then to the Second French Empire, and finally to the Mexican Federation republic.

Although the regime outside has changed wave after wave, the Gutierrez family is as immovable as a mountain in Juárez.

In the view of the current owner, Gutierrez, it's just a matter of changing the national flag.

But now, he encountered a little problem.

The first one is that the eldest son of the Romero family has returned under the banner of Dias. This kid is in control of the country cavalry patrol, and he is at odds with himself everywhere.

The second is that he is over half a hundred years old and has no children except a spoiled daughter.

Gutierrez felt that his body and energy were not as good as before.

In the past, we pissed three feet against the wind, but now we have a shoe with the wind.

But the wooden door made a "creaking" sound due to its age.

Gutierrez finally broke out. He opened the door of his daughter's room and yelled at the door.

Gutierrez watched the butler and Alvarez leave the room.

She threw herself on the bed and burst into tears.

Gutierrez looked at his daughter's tears rolling in his eyes, and felt a little soft-hearted. He said to his daughter earnestly:

His daughter was sitting on the edge of the bed with her back to him.

Alvarez and Perez glanced at each other, as if they had reached an agreement on the identity of the suspect.

He only softened his heart for a few seconds, and then he began to feel unreasonably irritated by his daughter's crying:
"Listen, Ariana, you are a member of the Gutierrez family, and then my daughter! On the day you get married, I don't want you to still be crying like this!"

"The cathedral in the city center?" Gutierrez guessed.

His roar echoed throughout the mansion.

The consul came to the door of his daughter's room and looked into the room through the gap in the door.

"The specific details have been discussed with the other side. It should be set in two weeks. The location..."

"Why is he there? Where's Ariana? Didn't notice it at all?"

He found the door of his daughter's room ajar and walked over.

"Don't say it, I know it well."

"How?" Gutierrez glanced at Perez.

She lowered her head and put her hands in front of her body, not knowing what to do.

Alvarez was still wandering, and was pulled back from the fantasy world by his boss, and stammered:

The housekeeper had no choice but to go down from the second floor to the first floor to understand the situation.

The steward said respectfully to Gutierrez:

Gutierrez gently pushed the door open.

"Ariana, your marriage to Ricardo has been decided, two weeks later." He told his daughter expressionlessly.

The girl was struck by lightning.

He looked out the window, thought for a while, and then walked out of the room.

He gave an order to Alvarez, who was still standing in front of him:

But Ariana was still lying on the bed and crying loudly, her voice getting louder and louder.

Gutierrez stopped suddenly, looked up at the officer standing in front of him, and asked.

Ariana was startled by the sound.

He turned to the butler: "How are the preparations for the wedding between Ariana and the Prigo family boy?"

"No, the time will not change, just two weeks later, I will go talk to Missy." Gutierrez said firmly.

What he said was referring to the elopement of Romero with his daughter.

"I think it's a threat." Perez, the butler and aide at the side, said cautiously.

If it was a father of an ordinary family, seeing his only daughter like this, his heart would be broken.

"Also, are you ready to fight him in the city?" Gutierrez's sharp eyes swept over Alvarez.

"Uh, yes, but I'm still afraid that the eldest lady will have some psychological shadows. Do you want to change the time and place?" Perez asked Gutierrez for advice.

He felt a deep sense of powerlessness.

Gutierrez felt that the housekeeper's words made some sense.

"Do you think Thiago was killed directly in it, or stuffed in after being killed?" He continued to pace the room, talking to himself.

"Well, there was another priest who was also knocked unconscious. He was stuffed in another compartment." He added, "However, he said that when he walked into the door of the confession room, his eyes went dark and he couldn't see anything. I no longer know."

"Perez! Perez!"

"The murderer means that he can touch the eldest lady at any time, this time he just killed our dog first to show us." Perez added based on his own deduction.

"Daughter, you have grown up, you can't be willful anymore, I don't want the last time to happen again."

Alvarez shook his head. He didn't dare to tell Gutierrez that the young lady couldn't say anything other than screaming when she mentioned this matter.

Gutierrez looked cold, but his heart was already extremely anxious.

However, at this time, there was a sudden noise from outside the window, as if someone had a fierce quarrel at the gate of the yard.

In this city, there is another family sitting on the mountain and watching the tigers fight. If I really lose both sides in the fight with the Romero family, there is no guarantee that the family will not take advantage of it.

Gutierrez frowned, dissatisfied with his subordinate's reaction:

Gutierrez's cheek muscles twitched.

"In the past two days, you have been staring at Sergio and his cavalry! If they act rashly, report to me immediately!"

What a bunch of crap.

The butler, who was sorting out the wedding guest list on the first floor, was taken aback by Gutierrez's roar. He quickly put down his work and ran to the second floor.

Perez walked to Gutierrez's side and whispered a name in his ear:
"Sergio Romero."

The wily Gutierrez shook his head:
"I don't think Sergio will turn against us now. He is a soldier, but he is by no means a fool without a brain! It is not a good idea for him to turn against us now."

"Boss, or I'll send troops to arrest them!" The officer volunteered and said volunteered.

Gutierrez was silent, and he began to think seriously, from all aspects.

Gutierrez locked the door of the room and went down to the second floor.

"Oh no, Dad! Oh! No!" Ariana burst into tears.

"I can sneak attack, while they are not paying attention, I..." Alvarez wanted to save some face, but was interrupted roughly by Gutierrez.

She shook her head violently: "No, Dad, I don't want to marry him! I just want to be by Dad's side!"

He must reach an alliance with the Prigo family as soon as possible, and then he will be in an invincible position.

Gutierrez did not expose his daughter's small actions, but walked in front of her.

"And who do you think it could be?" he asked.

But Gutierrez is different. In the words of his wife, this person has no heart.

She is like a frightened fawn, scrambling,
As the consul walked past her, he noticed that she had stuffed something into her bodice.

"I was stabbed to death by a knife. In, in the confession room of the church, just, in the next compartment of the Missy's confession booth."

"How did Tiago die?"

"What's the noise at the door?" Gutierrez's face was livid.

After a while, he came back: "Master, it's the Crocodile Gang, they want to get back the body of their boss."

"Go away! Let them go!"

Gutierrez could no longer control his emotions, and he said to Perez word for word,
"If they don't disappear around my mansion within 1 minute, I will ask Alvarez to hang them all on the gallows!"

Just his daughter was enough to bother him.

What's more, these are the same as the chamber pot, without the leader of the crocodile gang.
