Chapter 34 "Revenge"

October 2007, 10, at 27:46 a.m. Chicago time.

Sacred Heart Maria Hospital Chicago.

A terrified woman's scream broke the silence of the inpatient department.

Several security guards from the hospital rushed over after hearing the news, and found the woman who had fainted from fright in the women's toilet on the fifth floor, and——

On the wall at the far end of the women's room was the scariest, bloodiest painting they'd ever seen.

……

At 48:[-] in the morning, the sky was at its darkest before dawn.

Flashing red and blue police lights illuminated the pale white floor of the inpatient department. The downstairs of Sacred Heart Maria Hospital was already full of police cars, and policemen in uniforms from the Chicago Police Department sealed off the scene.

"God, this is definitely the weirdest murder scene I've ever seen..."

"Don't get me this hot dog covered in hot sauce, I don't like red now."

A dense cordon had already been set up on the fifth floor of the crime scene, and the policemen who were called up in the middle of the night to carry out this emergency mission all looked nervous, smoking and relaxing in the corridor.

"Ding!"

The elevator reached the fifth floor, the elevator door opened, and Von Schneider walked out with an indifferent face.

His exaggerated attire in black and a mask immediately caught the attention of the police guarding the elevator door.

"Chicago Police Department, this is a restricted area, no one else..."

But before he finished speaking, he was interrupted by Schneider's cold eyes.

"Special department, inform your superiors in charge of this case to come see me."

Behind Schneider, a man in a black windbreaker took a step forward, swung the ID in his hand in front of the police and immediately took it back.

The policeman guarding the elevator didn't even see the emblem on the certificate, but he couldn't figure out the origin of the awesome duo in front of him.

But after all, he has been out for so long, he still has the ability to read words and deeds, he will find a leader when he needs to find a leader, and he will get rid of the blame if he needs to, and he will never make trouble for himself.

He pressed the intercom hanging on his chest:

"Hey, boss, there are two people in the elevator who say they are from the special department and want to see you, please come here."

About half a minute later, a middle-aged police officer hurried out from a ward in the corridor.

"I'm the deputy chief of the Chicago Police Department... I didn't expect you to come here."

The middle-aged police officer seemed relieved after seeing Schneider, and wiped his sweat again and again.

"Your superiors should have notified you, right? You now have 5 minutes to evacuate your people from the scene."

"Next, our department will take over here."

The man in the black windbreaker said.

"No, three minutes."

Schneider's hoarse voice sounded, and then he swept towards the end of the corridor without looking back.

"Okay, our minister said 3 minutes. You hurry up."

The man in the black trench coat patted the deputy director on the shoulder, completely ignoring his police rank and the power it represented, and followed Schneider.

"No problem, I'll tell them to leave now."

The deputy director did not show any dissatisfaction. Instead, he picked up the walkie-talkie and gave an order for all police officers to evacuate the hospital.

The police officers who received the evacuation order for the first time were still a little dazed. They were called up in the middle of the night to perform urgent tasks, and now they are asked to leave?

However, they did not dare to disobey the deputy director's order. After repeating the order for the second time, police officers, forensic doctors, samplers and other police officers all packed up their things and left the fifth floor through the safe passage.

"Are those the FBI? Or the CIA?"

"Although the scene of the case tonight is a bit cruel...but it's not enough to bring them here."

The police officer guarding the elevator asked in a low voice.

"Don't ask if you shouldn't! The orders from the leaders above, if anyone wants to take over this mess, let them take over!"

said the deputy director.

"Ding!"

The elevator went to the fifth floor again.

A group of men in black trench coats with suitcases poured into the floor, their actions were as neat and uniform as their attire, and they began to take over here with efficient and silent actions.

"The two of you can take the elevator down by the way."

A black trench coat politely asked the deputy director and the policeman guarding the elevator to leave, and they had no choice.

"OK OK..."

The deputy director agreed, and saw the silver half-decayed World Tree badge worn on the chest of the black windbreaker.

After confirming that all irrelevant personnel were cleared from the scene, Schneider pressed the headset and ordered in a cold voice:

"The blockade team sealed off the corridor entrances on the fifth floor and the fourth floor, and no one is allowed to step into these two floors;"

"The investigation team immediately started a carpet investigation and could not let go of any traces;"

"The control team can directly control the arrest of any suspicious persons found, and the use of Friga bullets is allowed, and live ammunition can be used if there is resistance."

"The martial law of the operation is raised to A, and the operation begins."

……

The Sacred Heart Maria hospital was taken over by an agency called the Executive Department of the Kassel Academy.

The black cheetahs opened the suitcases, silently assembled the cold firearms, and filled the magazines with red bullets one by one.

Action martial law is A, which means that there is a possibility of fighting.

In Kassel Academy, where the learning atmosphere is no different from an ivory tower, the executive department is a cold-blooded violent institution.

Hunt down and deal with dangerous/corrupt hybrids, recover alchemy items, track down where dragons sleep, monitor dragon recovery...

Most of the commissioners in the execution department are performing these high-risk tasks, and they will die if they are not careful, and they can't even guarantee whether their remains can be sent back to their hometown intact.

For example, the protagonist in the bloody painting in the women's restroom on the fifth floor——

"Executive Department 'B' level commissioner, Simmons Les, bloodline level B... has died."

The man in black beside Minister Von Schneider whispered, trying to suppress the anger in his heart.

The walls and the ground at the end of the women's toilet seemed scarlet and glaring as if they had been washed by blood, as if they had become a slaughterhouse.

At the focus of Schneider's gaze, a broken headless corpse was nailed to the wall by dozens of sharp knives.

Above the broken neck of the corpse, on the handle of a sharp knife, a blood-stained emblem of the half-decayed World Tree hangs down.

The weirdest thing was that on the walls and ground that were not stained by blood, there were dense and clear blood-colored handprints and footprints, which were about the size of a baby's hands and feet.

"His sternum and ribs had been shattered ... he was hit as hard as he stepped into this women's toilet, and it was as hard as a car going head-on at [-] kilometers."

"But the fatal blow came with a knife that decapitated him...After killing Simmons, the assailant left more than 100 wounds on his body and nailed him to the wall."

"Where's the head?"

Schneider asked in a low voice.

"...in the toilet sewer... found that it was not flushed..."

The man in the black windbreaker gritted his teeth, unable to suppress the anger in his heart any longer, and shouted angrily:
"These bastards! They're declaring war on the Executive!"

"Avenge."

"Crady."

Schneider looked at the ceiling and whispered the two words written in blood.

"Credit...I remember him."

"The degenerate hybrid who was killed before entering the S class."

Schneider said.
