Chapter 45 Hadgar III
Chapter 45 Hadgar III
"We heard Hadgar Grayman's doubts," the old man "looked" in Hadgar's direction, "We listen to the voice, we obey the voice. We don't look for the voice, the voice will find us.
We hear the voice of Hadgar Greyman, we hear anger, we hear despair, we hear revenge, we hear life. "
"You mean, you can hear me?" Hadgar asked.
"Hadgar Grayman brought death and took the Eye, Hadgar Grayman wanted to be us," answered the old man.
"Hadegar Greyman accepted the price," said one of the men in red who brought him.
But he didn't kill the beggar, let alone goug his eyes, Hadgar thought. Why did these infiltrating red-robed people come to him?
Maybe killing people and gouging their eyes is the entrance ceremony for entering this mysterious group, and the golden eagle must know something.
"No, it was a misunderstanding," he explained, "I didn't kill the beggar, I didn't mean to offend, but I don't want to join you."
"Hardgar Greyman cannot repent of his choice," said the old man. "We have heard death, and you are us, and we are you."
Hadgar leaned back slightly, looking around from the corner of his eye, looking for a way for him to escape.
"But I don't know who you are yet," Hadgar said. "Before I join, I want to know more."
"Hadegar Greyman, we are the listeners," said the old man slowly. "We listen, for the eyes are a curse."
"curse?"
"Eyes are a curse, Hadgar Grayman. We see, but they see. We hear, but they do not hear."
"They? Who are they?"
The old man turned and walked towards the altar.
"I still don't understand what you're talking about." Hadgar said towards the back of the red-robed old man.
"If Hadgar Grayman wants to understand us, Hadgar Grayman needs to hear, not see," replied the old man.
"Guncz nuakogu zut... guncz nuakogu zut..." the man in red muttered.
After finishing speaking, the people beside him grabbed his arms and raised his feet.
All the red-robed men prostrated themselves on the ground again, repeating their spells over and over again.
"Guncz nuakogu zut..."
"What are you doing?" Hadgar desperately resisted, but he couldn't do what he wanted, because he was injured too badly.
"Let me go!" he yelled, tossing his head, and for the sake of the gods, it was like this again.
The red-robed people controlled Hadgar, and carried him onto the wooden altar like a deer that was hunted onto the slaughtering platform.
He tried his best to tense his body into a ball and break free from the restraints of the red-robed man. He kept twisting, but it was still to no avail.
The red-robed man held down his limbs vigorously, and continued to chant the incantation.
"Can we just stop and have a good chat?" Hadgar asked.
"Hadgar Grayman will know all, but we must take Hadgar Grayman's eyes, and they will see."
Hadgar looked up and saw the old man behind him, holding an iron tool that looked like a closed petal in his hand.
"No, no, no!" Hadja cried out in anxiety, "Don't goug my eyes!"
These perverts not only poach other people's eyes, but why don't they even let go of their own eyes?
"You can't even see where my eyes are!" Hadgar shouted. This old man doesn't even have eyes, how does he know where to start?
"We don't need to watch," the red-robed old man replied, "We just listen, that's enough."
The old man touched his face with his thin, withered fingers, and Hadgar kept turning his neck away.
The old man in red robe began to pray while stroking.
"We listen and we obey.
Grior'kor, we worship you, true god!You are the destroyer of false illusions, you have accepted the request of the lost lamb; you are the victim of the stars, you have saved all living beings!
Guncz nuakogu zut, you are the forgotten, you are the victim of hypocrisy and despair; you guide us forward, Shenyin resists evil!
You are the medicine of the conquered and the poison of the betrayer; you give us the joy of revenge, you allow us to taste the intoxicating tears, we are not afraid of the dark, because we are the dark!
Guardians of the Spire of Sin, hysterical sleepers, we have heard of new life, and we will pay the corresponding price! "
These bloody lunatics!
Hadgar took advantage of the old man's touch and bit his hand hard.
The red-robed old man let out a sharp scream, wanting to pull his hand out.But Hadgar would not let go, he could feel his teeth piercing the old man's thin fingers.
The red-robed man who was suppressing him also quickly pressed Hadgar's head, trying to make him let go.
He gritted his teeth with all his strength, like gnawing on a plucked chicken.
Finally, he felt the separation of the joints, and he bit off the ring finger and little finger of the old man in red robe.
Hadgar's hands and feet were also slightly freed because the red-robed man came up to help the old man. He rolled down the altar to the left and rushed towards the exit.
The red-robed people who were still praying stood up and tried to stop him, but Hadgar threw one of them forward, took out a dagger from the red-robed man's waist, and wiped the man's neck.
He continued to stand up and rush forward, dodging the attacks of the red-robed people along the way.
These red-robed people seemed unable to see themselves, but their hearing was exceptionally good.
Hadgar knocked the torches off the wall as he ran, then tossed the dagger to the other side to confuse their hearing.
Taking advantage of the red-robed man being misled by the voice he made, Hadgar ran with a limp and escaped.
Following the spiral staircase, he returned to the ground. The hideout is under an abandoned temple, and the moss and weed-covered entrance would go unnoticed without looking carefully.
Madkalin City is to the south of him, he needs to get out of this damn place quickly, this is not the trouble he wants to cause.
Fuck his golden eagle, f*ck his black shadow, f*ck his red man, he's had enough of this crap, he's leaving Madkalin.
All his belongings were in Madkalin, but there was no way Hadgar could go back.Sombra is a member of the empire, and maybe he has become a fugitive of Hastza now.
Along the Huixing Road is the Grass Shadow City, and along the Riverside Road is the Midell City.
Go north, Hadgar touched his intact eyes thankfully, he has no interest in these crazy things of the empire.
But if he sees any one of the golden eagle, the black shadow, or the old man in the red robe trying to goug his eyes again, he swears to the gods... Forget it, his primary goal now is to stay alive.
