According to legend, Mazu's real name is Lin Mo, a descendant of the Jiumulin family, a prominent family in Putian, Fujian Province. She was born on March 960 in the first year of Song Jianlong (23).

Because of saving the world, helping people and benefiting people, he is revered as the "God of the Sea" in the southeast coast of China and even in East Asia, and temples are set up to worship.
