Chapter 10 Entering the Church
The target of Yingxian is the church in the city center.

When the zombies broke out, it was Sunday morning, and there was no one in the church, so it was a very good place to go.

Moreover, she had been there several times with classmates who believed in Christianity. Although this church is in the city center, the flow of people is not large.

On the way, Chuzheng hesitated for a long time, but still asked out the doubts in his heart.

"On your hand just now... what is that?"

Ying Xian's hand holding the steering wheel was tight, Chu Zheng saw her attitude, and hastily added something.

"If you don't want to say, I won't ask, anyway, I know you won't harm us..."

Before she could finish speaking, she was interrupted by Ying Xian.

"That's a power. I can control the vine to attack, but I can't use it all the time. It's limited. Once the power is used up, I will be very tired. My body will force me to rest and then replenish the power."

Chu Zheng nodded half-understanding, "If you accidentally use up your abilities, I will protect you."

At this time, Yang Lijuan in the back seat was holding her stomach in frustration.

Ying Xian saw something wrong with Yang Lijuan from the rearview mirror, and asked worriedly, "Aunt Yang, what's wrong with you?"

Yang Lijuan smiled wryly, "It's okay, I just feel that I can't help you with anything..."

Ying Xian was taken aback, and immediately comforted her, "But at the beginning, you and Uncle Zhang helped me. Aunt Yang, don't think so much, I will do my best to protect you!"

"And I!"

Chu Zheng hurriedly spoke, Ying Xian turned her head when she heard the sound, and the two looked at each other and smiled.

Only then did Yang Lijuan chuckle, "Okay, then I will trouble you two little girls. When we find a place to live, leave the cooking to me. My skills are not bad."

Only then did the dull atmosphere in the car ease a bit.

Ying Xian quickly drove the car to the door of the church. There were two or three wandering zombies near the church. Ying Xian got out of the car first and manipulated the vines to deal with them, and then helped Yang Lijuan out of the car with Chu Zheng.

The simple and serious church stands among the surrounding tall buildings, which seems a bit out of place.

And there is a red cross standing at the tip of the church tower, combined with the present, there is a sense of holiness that is the only cruelty.

The three walked towards the church gate, only to find that the lock on the outside of the church had been broken, but it was locked from the inside.

"Anyone? Can you open the door and let us in?"

Ying Xian tentatively yelled towards the crack of the door, and it took a while for someone inside to answer.

"You can hide in another place, who knows if you have been infected!"

In the end times, it is normal to have such worries.

Ying Xian took a breath, and then said, "There are no wounds on our bodies, you can check carefully after we go in."

The people inside didn't answer any more, obviously they just didn't want to talk to her.

The two sides stalemate for a while, no matter what Ying Xian said, the people inside had no intention of opening the door.

Seeing this, Ying Xian felt helpless, and suddenly remembered that there was a back door behind this church.

She planned to go around to the back door to try her luck.

So the three of them made a big circle to the back door. As expected, the lock on the outside of the back door was still intact.

But she can't pick the lock, and if the lock is smashed, it will make too much noise.

"Let me try."

It was Chu Zheng who spoke, and Ying Xian turned her head in shock for an instant, and then watched her take a hair clip from her hair.

"In the movies I watched, they used hair clips to pick locks. I happened to be wearing one. I'll try to see if I can pick it."

Probably this is another village where the mountains are poor and the river is full of doubts and no way out.

Ying Xian hurriedly stepped aside, then watched as Chuzheng broke off the clip, inserted one end into the keyhole, and twisted left and right.

The lock on the back door was an old-fashioned padlock. Chuzheng bent over and worked hard for three or four minutes before opening the lock.

She carefully pulled the old-fashioned iron latch, and pushed open the back door that hadn't been opened for a long time and hadn't been locked.

The three sneaked into the back door, but in the next second they met the person who came to the back door and wanted to block it with something.

As soon as the man saw them coming in, he was about to speak to remind the people in the chapel, but Ying Xian covered his mouth and spoke in his ear at the same time.

"There are only three of us, and none of them are infected, let's go in."

The man was still struggling, and Chuzheng directly pressed the knife Ying Xian gave her to his waist.

The cold blade stuck to his waist through his clothes, so he stopped struggling.

Ying Xian let go of his hand covering his mouth, but Chu Zheng didn't retract the knife on his waist.

After all, Chuzheng was also worried about the man shouting.

Ying Xian turned around and locked the back door, then lightly moved a few chairs piled nearby to block the door, and then led the man towards the chapel.

When the four of them came to the chapel, they saw a huge white cross hanging on the wall at the end, and Jesus was nailed to the cross with his head bowed.

The lights in the church were dim and flickering.

Many people sat scattered on rows of benches and turned their heads when they heard the movement.

Before Ying Xian could speak, five or six people got up from their chairs and surrounded them with various weapons.

"Didn't I tell you not to come in!"

The middle-aged woman at the head had a sullen face, and pointed the stick in her hand at Ying Xian's nose.

"We have nothing to do, there are zombies outside, we have nowhere to go, God loves the world, we can only seek the Lord's protection."

Relying on what Christians often said when they came to church from memory, Ying Xian directly began to make up nonsense.

It is conservatively estimated that there are more than 20 people in the church. If there is a direct conflict, even if they have supernatural powers, they may not be able to retreat unscathed. It is better to try to get close to them in the name of God.

After all, most of those who still wanted to come to church after the zombie outbreak were Christians.

Sure enough, when the woman heard the word Lord, the sullenness on her face lessened a little, but her eyes were still full of defense.

Ying Xian then said, "The official said that if you are injured by a zombie, you will be infected within 10 minutes at the latest. It has been more than [-] minutes since we knocked on the door just now. We are still fine. What are you worried about?"

The woman hesitated for a while, but waved her hand anyway.

"Who knows whether the official data is true or not. If you want to stay, go to the confessional room and isolate yourself. I will let you out in an hour, so everyone can rest assured."

Ying Xian didn't refuse, it's the end of the world, everyone is right to be so cautious.

Someone came up and confiscated the knife in Chuzheng's hand. She was about to say something when she received a comforting look from Ying Xian.

When she came in, she put her own knife into the space, and there were also a few various knives found at home in the space.

So someone took the three of them to a one-on-one confession room and locked them in the confession room.

The dark confessional room was very small, Ying Xian sat on a chair, and Chu Zheng and Yang Lijuan beside him didn't speak.

As time passed, Ying Xian simply took out the frozen dumpling she threw in from the space.

The dumplings were still hard and frozen, and Ying Xian was instantly overjoyed.

It seems that whatever is put into the space, no matter how long it is put, will remain in the state it was just put in!
