Chapter 17
The low-hanging clouds were dark gray. After Naruto washed and changed, he opened the door, and the sky in the distance darkened instantly.

It was as if someone turned off the light above the clouds, and the surrounding light suddenly dimmed. Then a thunderclap resounded through the sky, and the pouring rain fell without warning.

Naruto and Sakura stood in the corridor at the door, looking dumbfounded at the heavy rain.

"Did Konoha Meteorology say it would rain today?" Sakura stood by the wall, frowning as she looked at the white mist that blurred almost instantly.

"The weather is gloomy this morning." Naruto complained. "The good news is that I have an umbrella."

About an hour later, the rain has lightened up.

"Let's go." Sakura said, standing up.

"Oh." Naruto responded and went out to lock the door.

With a bang, the pitch-black umbrella was opened. The two of them hid under a black umbrella. Fortunately, the umbrella was big enough, so they didn't have to worry about getting wet.

"Naruto." Sakura broke the silence, feeling a little depressed.

"Ah."

"Why did those people look at us like that?" Sakura asked worriedly, "Are they also residents of the apartment?"

When the two walked out of the apartment together, Sakura saw the gloomy expressions of the villagers standing under the eaves for the first time, as if they were looking at something extremely disgusting.

"Because you walked by my side, you were hated together." Naruto said.

"Is that kind of thing really okay?" Sakura couldn't help shivering, "Naruto, you've always been stared at like that."

She didn't continue to speak the following words, and stopped talking.

"Ah, it's okay." Naruto didn't seem to care about Sakura's words, he held an umbrella in his hand, and looked ahead steadily with his eyes.

The street under my feet was dripping with rain, and there was always plenty of rain in midsummer, so the black umbrella looked extremely abrupt on the cold street.

His voice was firm and warm, as flat as boiled water that had just cooled.

"I don't care about them anymore, although it's a bit too much to say. But they are really just some brainless moths, echoing what others say."

"Or, loathing me will unite them, and no one wants to make themselves out of the group, right?"

The rainwater hit the black umbrella, making a splashing sound.

"With all due respect, they are just alive, aren't they? Wearing human skin, the only meaningful thing is to work and reproduce."

Hearing Naruto's words, Sakura didn't know what to say.

Crossing the old street, the two stopped in front of the gift shop, and Naruto signaled Sakura to go in first.Sakura didn't understand, and looked at Naruto suspiciously.

"You go in with me, the boss may not sell it to you."

Hearing this, Sakura was stunned for a while. He looked up at Naruto, then at the rain outside, hesitated for a moment, then turned around and went in.

After a pause, probably guessing that Sakura had already chosen, Naruto walked into the store.

The boss recognized Naruto, frowned and glanced at him, but didn't say anything.

At this time, Sakura was walking out, holding a gift in her hand, which was a cute blue puppet.Naruto nodded, turned and walked out the door.

"Leave without buying anything?" The boss sitting at the door suddenly sneered, "Next time you don't have money, don't come to my store."

Naruto ignored it and continued walking forward.

On the other hand, Sakura's head looked like it had been pricked by a needle, her brows were tightly wrinkled, and her fingers sank deeply into the doll.

Ninjas cannot harm the villagers of the village, which is clearly stated in the ninja regulations. The boss obviously knew this too, and he didn't show any restraint when he watched Naruto walk out of the shop.

Although she was already prepared in her heart, seeing the naked bullying happening in front of her eyes, the person being bullied was still her companion.

With resentment, Xiao Sakura threw the doll into the boss's arms heavily, which frightened the boss.

"What are you doing!"

"I won't buy it! What a broken store!" Xiao Ying glared at the boss, and walked out angrily.

"Are you sick? Really!"

Sakura walked out of the gift shop, looked at Naruto who was waiting for her under the eaves on the other side, pursed her lips and said.

"It's not good, don't buy it."

"Yeah." Naruto didn't say anything, opened the big black umbrella and walked into the rain.

"I'm planning to go to the ninja shop to buy a wristband for Sasuke, what do you think?" Sakura forced a smile and said, "I don't understand boys' preferences, so I asked you to come out as an adviser."

"I didn't know this was going to happen and didn't give it that much thought. I'm sorry."

In the end, Sakura's voice became lower and lower.

"No need to apologize, I heard it all just now, but you can actually buy it." Naruto said disapprovingly, "I don't care what those bugs say at all."

"Bugs?" Sakura blinked, but didn't react for a while.

"Well, I regard those people as bugs." Naruto said, "In fact, they can't do anything to me except to exclude me."

"They have no power, and they live in a muddle in this world. Even though I have become a ninja, they still speak ill of me as always."

"Bugs like this don't matter whether they live or die. I don't pay attention to them at all. To me, they are just bugs in Konoha."

The more Sakura listened, the more nervous she became, so she could only change the subject in time. But just as he was about to speak, a streak of golden color flashed past his eyes.

"Why are you walking together?" Ino raised his umbrella, stood in the rain and looked at the two narrowly.

Sakura was afraid that Ino would find out that she was preparing a birthday present for Sasuke, and she was afraid that Naruto would slip up, so she hurriedly explained.

"I have something to ask Naruto for help!"

"Huh?" Ino stared at Sakura suspiciously, "Since when did the relationship between you two become so good? Are you able to trust each other?"

"It's a matter of practice! Isn't it? Naruto!" Xiao Sakura was concerned, and she was lying because of her clumsy appearance.

"Yes." Naruto nodded.

"A matter of practice?" Ino looked away, and the gossip and doubts on his face gradually disappeared.

She knew that the two of them were in the same class as Sasuke, and Naruto's first place in the graduation exam was really surprising.

If it is to ask for advice on matters of practice, it makes sense.

But there was one more thing that Ino cared about. Ever since Naruto said that Sasuke didn't like women in front of her that day, it had almost become her inner demon.

"I see that you have gone all the way, are you done asking for advice?" Ino asked.

"Ask me. It's over." Sakura said helplessly, she really couldn't tell another lie.

"That's good." Saying that, Ino stuffed the umbrella in his hand to Sakura, grabbed Naruto and ran away!
"What?" Sakura was stunned.

"Borrow someone to use it!" Ino's voice came from a distance, and the two of them had disappeared.
