Chapter 43 Death Is Not Absolute

Townsend was found by William Turner on the lookout on the mast of the Black Pearl.

When he was helped down by the soldiers, he was already staggering and his eyes were blurred.

Everyone could feel the desperate and sad atmosphere emanating from him, as well as the strong smell of alcohol.

"You look like Tetu plus those pirates that can be seen everywhere." Jack Sparrow sniffed and said mercilessly: "It seems that you have accepted the fact that there is pirate blood flowing in your body , Little Bill."

"However, if you want to join the Black Pearl, please allow me to refuse. Obviously, you can't do anything with your appearance."

"Captain Sparrow, don't be so mean." Townsend motioned to the soldiers to get some water to sober William up, and said, "Mr. Turner thinks he has lost his father, so he is naturally heartbroken."

"Mr. Tang Tang." William called vaguely: "Port Royal Elizabeth"

"It seems that our Mr. Turner wants to go home." Tang Sen said, "However, I have to remind you that you still owe me a request."

The soldiers came over with a basin of water and poured it directly on William's face without any politeness.

Dahai Haishang's way of sobering up has always been so simple and unpretentious.

The cold water gave William a jolt, and his mind became clearer.

But the drunkenness decreased, and the sadness became more intense, and he lowered his head wetly, without saying a word.

"I didn't bring you to the sea to see you become an alcoholic, Mr. Turner." Townsend said bluntly.

"I'm sorry." William apologized in a low tone, obviously, his mood did not fluctuate.

"What does Mr. Tang want me to do?"

Tang Sen frowned and said, "A person who has lost hope can do nothing."

"What? Does Mr. Turner think it's all over? I'm afraid you've forgotten what I said earlier."

William's shoulders trembled, and he finally raised his head. His eyes were still dull, but at least he was able to express a look of doubt.

"What is your reason for following me to sea, Mr. Turner?"

"Looking for news about my father, Mr. Tang." He said sadly: "It turns out that what the pirates said was correct. My father was indeed a crew member of the Black Pearl, and he was indeed sunk into the bottom of the sea. What is ridiculous is that The lifting of the curse took his life completely, and I don't even know where his body is."

"Are you blaming me? Mr. Turner?" Townsend said nonchalantly.

"No, Mr. Tang, I only have gratitude to you." William said in a panic, "Just."

"Let me remind you, Mr. Turner." Townsend interrupted him, and said, "The reason why you followed me to sea, from beginning to end, was because, I told you that I saw a A man named William Turner."

"Did you believe Mr. Sparrow's words, but not mine?"

William was stunned for a moment, hope suddenly appeared in his eyes, but it was quickly extinguished.

"My father is dead, Mr. Tang."

Tang Sen sneered and said, "Above this sea, nothing is absolute, including death."

"Tell me, in the legends you have heard, what kind of existence is Davy Jones?"

William replied numbly: "Davy Jones, the captain of the Flying Dutchman, it is said that the ship travels between the world and the underworld, communicating with the living and the dead, ferrying the dead to the underworld, huh?"

He stopped talking suddenly, and stared suddenly: "Is the legend true?"

"The curse of the Black Pearl is also true, isn't it?" Townsend said, "I think Captain Sparrow can talk to you about Davy Jones."

Sparrow shrank his neck and muttered, "This is not a good topic."

"It's a pure devil. Whenever death at sea is destined to happen, Davy Jones will appear. He will let you choose to die or join the Flying Dutchman."

"There is no doubt that he is playing with life and death. He is able to keep dying people alive in this world...in an uncomfortable way."

"My father, maybe he's not dead?" William grabbed Sparrow's sleeve tightly.

"Hey! Let me go!" Sparrow threw him away dissatisfied, and said, "If Old Bill really met Davy Jones, then I think I can guess his choice."

"Would you choose to be strapped to a cannon, sink forever in the dark, and suffer eternal solitude, or would you choose to accept Davy Jones' invitation to become one of his wretched crew?"

"By the way, if it were me, I would choose neither." He shuddered. "Obviously, being a crew member of the Flying Dutchman is no more enjoyable than being stranded at the bottom of the sea."

"David Jones." William kept chanting the name, and finally came to his senses, and asked, "Where is he?"

"No one knows that the Flying Dutchman is not an ordinary pirate ship. It may sneak under the sea, it may sail in the underworld, and it may be anywhere in the world. I can't find it either." Sparrow said quietly.

"Mr. Tang must have a solution, right?" William turned his head and said, "That's why you mentioned him at this moment."

"That's right, Mr. Turner." Seeing that William had finally regained his former sense and wit, Townsend nodded in relief, "That's what I need you to do."

Townsend spread his hands towards Sparrow.

Sparrow tilted his head, untied a bottle of dirty rum from his waist and put it in Tang Sen's hand: "Don't finish it, save some for me, I only took two sips."

"Compass, Captain Sparrow." Townsend reminded.

"Oh, that compass!" Sparrow put on a smiley face, took out the compass, hesitated for a while, then suddenly took a few steps in place, and said, "Actually, why don't you let the owner of the compass come?" What about navigation?"

"You have fear in your heart, Captain Sparrow." Townsend said bluntly, "When you get the compass, can his pointer really point to what I need?"

"Yes?" Sparrow rolled his eyes.

"Don't lie to yourself, Captain Sparrow." Townsend snatched the compass from him directly: "You forgot what you said, firm and pure, Captain, obviously, you are not firm enough now."

He put the compass in William's palm, and said slowly: "And Mr. Turner—"

"What are you willing to give to save your father?"

"Everything! Mr. Tang!" William said firmly.

"Even in the face of Davy Jones? Faced with the deepest fear in the sea?"

"I'm ready, Mr. Tang."

Tang Sen showed a satisfied smile, and raised his voice:
"Then, Mr. Turner, I have the pleasure of informing you."

"You are now the helmsman of the Intrepid."
