pianist from the sea
Chapter 3 Marching to Warsaw
Chapter 3 Marching to Warsaw
Chopin International Piano Competition, one of the four major piano competitions in the world, is held every five years.
Just like his name, this is a piano competition with the theme of Chopin's works. The test is each player's interpretation of Chopin, his understanding of Chopin, and his own skills.
Contestants choose from tens of thousands of entries all over the world, all of which are recommended by teachers or qualified for application through other competitions.
Everyone is a dragon and a phoenix.
If their level is compared, they are almost the top students of Tsinghua University and Peking University, that is, the top students.
And these people themselves are already selected among the one-in-a-million players, and then the last 160 people are selected to enter the qualifiers.
Top young players from all over the world gather in Poland.
Half of the qualifiers will be wiped out, half will be wiped out in the first round, half will be wiped out in the second round, and half will be wiped out in the third round. Only the last 10 people will enter the finals.
Those who play Chopin well will surely be able to play other works well.
And those who can play other works may not be able to play Chopin well.
This is why the Chopin International Piano Competition is so competitive.
And one more point, if all the judges feel that No.1 is not good enough for No.1, then the position of No.1 will be vacant, and the original No.1 will be directly moved to No.2, or even moved to No.3. No. 4, No. 5.
Even the top six are all vacant.
This rule directly makes the Chopin International Piano Competition No.1 vacant for 15 years.
However, just because the strength of the contestants meets the standard is not the reason why this competition can become the world's largest piano competition. The real reason is the judges of this competition.
Only the top six winners in the past can serve as judges.
And none of the judges who stand out from the Chopin International Piano Competition is a layman, and the last six of each competition are basically the pillars supporting the piano world.
Pollini, Argerich, Ashkenstein...
Countless top leaders who can shock the entire piano industry just by putting their names, almost all of them came out of here.
It is even rumored that only the pianist who really won the Chopin International Piano Competition is considered the top pianist.
At about six o'clock in the morning, Brotz knocked on the door and asked Fu Diao to go downstairs for breakfast.
When Fu Tiao got dressed and went downstairs, the table was already full of breakfast.
It does not belong to a particularly orthodox Polish breakfast, nor does it belong to any traditional breakfast in any place, but it is commonly used in Europe.
Some simple ham, bread, jam, eggs, served with a glass of orange juice.
This is what breakfast is all about.
"Cze" Broz looked at Fu who opened the door and said hello in Polish: "This is Polish, good morning."
"Cze" Fu tuned it a few times, and Broz corrected some of his pronunciation with a smile.
The two sat down and had a quick breakfast, and then Fu Diao took down everything he needed to bring to the game, and put on his suit.
At this moment, his whole temperament is completely different from that of being wrapped in a blanket on the bed before, and his whole body has a strong artistic atmosphere.
Elegant, indifferent, without affectation.
Just as he was on the boat.
Brotz's eyes could not help but light up, and he clicked his tongue twice.
"Before, I always felt that you were a bit of a liar. After all, there is no pianist dressed like you. Now I am sure that you are definitely a pianist!"
"Didn't you listen to me playing the piano before? Could it be that you were sleeping while I was practicing?" Fu Tiao also joked with him: "Although I am practicing more basic skills, the feeling is different, right? ?”
Broz laughed immediately: "Hahaha, actually, I don't really understand the gap between the players. If it's ordinary, I can understand it, but the gap between your top players is completely staring at me. So whether you are playing at the level of an ordinary conservatory or a pianist, I really can't tell."
After that, he walked quickly to the door, pointed to a slightly old pickup truck in front of his house, and raised his chin: "Let's go, it will take a long time to get to the Warsaw Philharmonic Hall from this place Well, let's start early, maybe we can arrive around seven o'clock!"
Fu Tiao stepped forward and thanked in half-baked Polish: "Dzikuj"
Brotz froze for a moment, then laughed even louder: "Nie ma za co!"
……
In April, it was already daylight after six o'clock, but due to the poor urban environment, there was smog everywhere. Although it was a sunny day, it didn't look much different from a cloudy day in the car.
The small pickup pierced through the fog and galloped towards the urban area.
The two of them didn't talk along the way. Fu Tiao sat in the car and flipped through the music score in his hands, trying to prepare himself as much as possible in the last time, so that he could get a higher score.
Brotz, on the other hand, was driving, cursing the government management department in a low voice, and then swearing to the radio that he must vote for the Green Party in the next election.
Although the Green Party cannot enter Congress, the local council still has some status.
Don't ask them to make the whole of Poland well, at least clean up the vicinity of Warsaw, and don't make the air so bad that it makes people upset.
After about 40 minutes, the two barely entered the North District of the Center, which is near the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw.
Perhaps because of the preliminaries of the Chopin International Piano Competition, and the fact that this place belongs to the city center, it became very congested and it was almost impossible to walk.
Brotz could only put Fu Tiao on the side of the road, and said helplessly.
"The road in this place is blocked. I can only take you here. If you want to go back later, you can take the N31 car and you can get home after a short turn. I can't stay here for too long. I will go back first. I'm waiting for your good news."
"Well, see you later, do, do...Do widzenia?"
"Hahahaha, Do widzenia! Well said, the pronunciation is very standard, Dior! I look forward to hearing from you!"
"Yes, Mr. Brotz."
Brotz smiled even more happily. He waved at Fu Tiao, drove the car and continued to follow the traffic, preparing to leave the downtown area.
Fu Tiao picked up the music score in his hand again, and turned to look at the huge concert hall not far ahead.
The pure white exterior wall is inlaid with eight pairs of ancient Roman columns, under the columns stands a steel arch, and countless concert posters are pasted on the arch.
At the corner of the concert hall is the Polish word, Sala koncertowa, which means concert hall.
Countless people passed by, looking at the men and women who walked out and in from the concert hall with a trace of curiosity, their eyes full of envy.
This place is the highest stage for all classical music players, and it is also a mass grave that has denied countless players.
Countless players walked in through those steel arches, but only the last few could walk out proudly.
Fu Tiao lifted the music score in his hand, put aside distracting thoughts, and walked towards the concert hall.
