Chapter 3
Yin Xiangyu took off his sneakers and skillfully changed into his own gray flip-flops at the entrance.

In the living room where you can see the whole picture at a glance, only the deepest part on the right hand side, there are bursts of faint light.

The light came from Chen Gewei's room, and this expected scene was all too familiar to him.

Chen Gewei didn't like to turn on the lights, he always came in in the dark habitually, sneaked back to his room like a thief, and then turned on his own small desk lamp.

Coupled with two 27-inch computer monitors, it constitutes the only light source in his room.

After changing his shoes, Yin Xiangyu turned on the chandelier in the middle of the living room, lighting up most of the surrounding environment, leaving only shadows in some corners.

And to the east of the living room, the open kitchen where the light is difficult to take into account.

Yin Xiangyu casually threw his computer bag on the tan sofa, hung the black bag strap on the back of the sofa, and then walked towards Chen Gewei's room.

Listening to the hum of the computer, Yin Xiangyu stretched out half of his body and stood at the door of Chen Gewei's room.

In the dim environment, the lights of the computer screen highlighted Chen Gewei's face, which made Yin Xiangyu even more jealous.

As a mixed race, Chen Gewei has superior appearance, which is a huge advantage for ordinary people like him.

But Yin Xiangyu casually raised his hand and knocked on the door, then looked at Chen Gewei and asked as if he was talking homely.

"Have you had dinner?"

Sitting in front of the computer, Chen Gewei took a sip of the coffee that had already bottomed out, then raised his hand, and simply pointed to the blue and white paper bag next to him, with a picture of the Eiffel Tower printed on it.

"Paris Baguette..."

Yin Xiangyu read out the name of the dessert shop, then turned his head to look at the river view outside the floor-to-ceiling window of Chen Gewei's room, and then continued.

"Someone from the Operations Department came to you this evening when I was getting off work, saying that there is a plan that needs your approval."

"I saw."

Chen Gewei replied quickly, then quickly turned his head and said calmly.

"There's chestnut crisp and sandwiches left, do you want some?"

Yin Xiangyu, who was standing at the door, paused, then walked into the room.

Reaching into the paper bag with his right hand, he took out the chestnut crisps and easily unpacked it.

"Did you go to the meeting again this afternoon?"

Yin Xiangyu asked again.

"Ah."

Chen Gewei calmly agreed, and at the same time quickly tapped the keyboard a few times with both hands.

After confirming that the content he entered was correct, Chen Gewei added in a calm voice.

"The meeting ends at 04:30."

"Then you left work early?"

Yin Xiangyu asked casually, not realizing the meaning of Chen Gewei's addition.

His roommate has the highest degree of freedom in the company, and the president treats him like a baby, so he can do whatever he wants.

"No."

Chen Gewei calmly denied, then turned around and looked at Yin Xiangyu seriously.

"I went to meet your girlfriend and exposed her identity as a fraudster. Now she should be in the police station with her three accomplices to make a statement."

Yin Xiangyu stopped suddenly, his arms were raised stiffly, and the delicious pastry in his mouth became hard to swallow at this moment.

It took him three seconds to buffer the message, and then he looked at Chen Gewei seriously, wanting to make sure that he was not joking.

Under the half-bright light, Chen Gewei's face at this moment is like Harvey Dent in Batman, which is divided into two parts.

One side is dark and the other side is bright.

The rationality in Yin Xiangyu's mind at this moment was telling him that Chen Gewei was not the one to make such jokes.

But such shocking information still made it difficult for him to accept it for a while.

Silently leaving the table, Yin Xiangyu looked away and sorted out his thoughts.

After half a minute, he calmed down, stood still beside the coat hanger, turned his head and looked at Chen Gewei seriously.

"When did you find out?"

"The day before yesterday."

Chen Gewei's eyes returned to the computer screen, and at the same time he spoke calmly, as if describing an insignificant matter.

"After we met that night, I felt something was wrong with her. Later, I sent her a Trojan horse link, and then I knew about her. I sorted out the information a little yesterday, and then sent them in today."

Chen Gewei paused, then continued.

"Her real name is Lu Meiying. She is a full-time fraudster. She was just released from Southern Prison two months ago..."

"Stop, stop."

Yin Xiangyu immediately raised his hand to stop, and then asked seriously.

"I'm not interested in her criminal history, but why would she scam me? I'm poor and white, and you pay the rent."

Chen Gewei stopped what he was doing, paused for a rare moment, then turned around, looking at Yin Xiangyu with a calm expression.

"If I told you the truth, you'd be pissed off."

The young roommate just stared at Chen Gewei, waiting for his answer.

Seeing Yin Xiangyu's insistence, Chen Gewei nodded, then turned his eyes to look elsewhere, and said quickly at the same time.

"Your biological father is admitted to the intensive care unit and may die at any time..."

"OK, stop!"

Yin Xiangyu yelled to stop again, turned his head with a cold expression, took a deep breath, then slowed down, and then said as if mocking himself.

"Sure enough, I can't believe in love at first sight, I'm still too immature..."

Chen Gewei sat on the ergonomic chair, looked at his roommate, thought for a while, and then said quickly.

"It's not necessarily true to say that. Humans are sensitive visual animals. Evolutionary features such as intuition enable humans to quickly assess suitable sexual partners within 100ms. It may not be love, but at least it is a kind of physical attraction, a kind of highly predictive factor."

Yin Xiangyu looked at Chen Gewei speechlessly, sighed softly, then turned his head to look elsewhere.

"You talk about such extravagant things every day, I really believe your evil..."

As he said that, Yin Xiangyu straightened up suddenly angrily, raised his finger and said to Chen Gewei.

"You are so handsome that you can say this kind of thing here. I, who looks ordinary like me, are in a completely different situation from yours, okay?"

Chen Gewei paused, but still calmly replied.

"I can't do anything about it. I was born like this. And I'm a high-functioning antisocial personality. Being in love is an unstable and harmful factor for me."

Yin Xiangyu curled his lips, not wanting to communicate with Chen Gewei any longer.

But suddenly, the handsome young mixed-race guy spoke again, as if recalling.

"Kim Jong-hoon is discharged from the army, and I met his sister at the coffee shop today."

"Kim Jung-hoon..."

Hearing the old classmate's name, Yin Xiangyu calmed down, and his expression seemed to be immersed in memories.

But immediately, he discovered something was wrong.

"Kim Jung-hoon's younger sister... Isn't that a big star? BLACKPINK?"

"Ah."

Chen Gewei agreed indifferently.

"Well, I haven't seen a real person yet."

Yin Xiangyu said something casually, then looked at Chen Gewei, and asked curiously.

"It should look better than in the photo, right? Kim Jong-hoon doesn't say that his sister is not photogenic every day."

Facing Yin Xiangyu's gaze, Chen Gewei recalled carefully.

But Yin Xiangyu only waited for two seconds, then waved his hand and said with a look of anticipation.

"Forget it, it's useless to ask you, you must say that appearance has no practical meaning to you..."

"No."

Chen Gewei denied it softly, then nodded with affirmative expression.

"It's pretty."
