Chapter 1261 Documents and Courage

With a deep fear of the Phoenix King, Elspeth could only believe 60% of the elves' words.

Lady Rose of the Cemetery of Nuln was a proud person. She had lived for over a century and was the wisest mage in the empire... Even for Bayershazer, it was only because of his sensitive identity as the Amethyst Mage that he was lucky enough to be awarded the title of Grand Master of the Academy.

While they were exchanging opinions on some trivial matters concerning Sylvania, someone entered the tent.

Teclis, who was cold by nature, was a little surprised to see a human wizard in the tent, but he quickly calmed down and thought it was not a threat worth taking seriously.

"Phoenix King, I need to set off to the south... to complete our mission."

"Yes, but before that, you may want to have a conversation with the advisor of the Countess of Wisenland and perform your duties as a royal court mage."

Elspeth was equally surprised. If this ordinary-looking elf was Teclis... that would be too much of a surprise. The entire magic system of the empire almost came from Teclis's foundation. Without the selfless teaching of the elven wizard, the wizards would still be staying in the countryside and being hunted down by the church.

"It's my honor." Elspeth nodded and turned to pay respect to Teclis: "It's a pleasure to meet you, selfless Lord Teclis, I am..."

"Well, do we always have to waste time on such boring things? Who you are is irrelevant to me. If you want to exchange magic, follow the formal academic process... If you want to gain the support of Saffre, let your countess send an envoy."

The harsh tone of Teclis broke the preconceived impression that Elspeth had of the elven tutor at the Aldolf School of Magic. It was recorded that Teclis was a very patient elf who would not be too prejudiced against humans.

“It seems that Tigris doesn’t want to talk more about the Empire’s affairs… Ms. Elspeth, I will send someone to contact Wissen Lord to arrange relevant cooperation matters.

If you don't mind me giving orders on behalf of your countess, you may now go to the Grey Mountains and support your emperor."

"This is... my duty." Elspeth's eyes swept across the faces of the two elves several times. Smart people naturally knew what to do.

She left a piece of paper with a magic mark, telling the Phoenix King to call him at any time, and then took the Crimson Dragon to support Karl Franz.

Imrik waved his hand to signal the Flameborn Knights on guard that they could leave, as he had something to discuss secretly with the Supreme Mage.

When there were only two people left in the tent, Teclis spoke frankly, "We have delayed for too long. We must solve this problem as soon as possible."

"I don't deny that, but nominally speaking, it's not easy for me to intervene in Bretonnia's civil war... although many people believe that I will organize a war at any time."

It was another time to take the blame, but Teclis was used to it. He had borne enough notoriety along the way, not to mention such small matters as the invasion of the Knight Kingdom.

"The Saphri will join forces with Nagarythe to issue a declaration of war, and Bretonnian expeditionary knights have killed researchers and explorers stationed in Athel Loren without reason."

The alliance between Tigris and the Shadow King was not unexpected. If we were to talk about who hated Lilith the most, they would definitely compete with each other.

One was deceived for six thousand years, the other was deceived about the meaning of life, and the brothers became chess pieces. Who can describe the entanglement?

Imrick's statement was simple. He took out a piece of gold-plated royal magic paper from the file box, stamped the end with the flaming phoenix seal, and signed it with his own hand. The document did not have specific content. How to fill it out would be the responsibility of Tigris, and Imrick would bear all the responsibility.

Tigris was deeply moved by the monarch's trust, but he did not show any of this. He took the paper and took a quick look at it. He was sure that the document only needed to imitate Imrik's handwriting to serve as a legal basis, and then he left with a vengeful heart.

He needs to unite many people... many people who were deceived by Lilith: "I still need some documents."

Imrick sighed and threw all the things in the file box that Tigris might need to him. "I would be happier if you could stay in the royal court and help handle government affairs after this matter is resolved."

Flipping through documents and analyzing potentially useful intelligence, Teclis nodded absentmindedly and said, "Maybe, but you should give Tyrion a proper identity... instead of becoming a piece of glue between the Royal Court and the Etain Council."

"I would love to have him return to the royal court... but those old guys in the east are not easy to deal with. Eltharion is also capable enough to be a war lord, or in other words, he performs his duties much more efficiently than your brother."

"Eltharion is our pride, and naturally he can lead the War Council." Teclis' tone was steady, without a trace of sarcasm. He took the blame time and time again, and even when his brother Tyrion doubted him, Eltharion still advised him to look at it rationally.

Although it was just support beyond just helping, Teclis was still very grateful.

"Only when it comes to family, maybe he is not as harmonious as we imagined."

An inside joke: because Eltharion spent more time in prison than with his wife, Annabell always liked to complain to her bestie Phyllis that she married the wrong person in the name of following her husband.

Even Imrik knew about it... Compared to being affectionate with his wife, Eltharion was better at having fun with Druzil in prison.

"He has a strong sense of responsibility, which is admirable. If I become the war lord of Finubar..."

In the face of Teclis's amusement, Imrik shrugged and said, "I will consider asking Your Majesty to abdicate and let others be great again."

"This joke is not funny... Although I don't have a good impression of Finubar, apart from his hesitation and lack of ability, he is still a monarch worthy of respect."

Teclis knew very well that if his strategic ally was Finubar, no matter how closely the two sides cooperated, he would never issue a blank document with only a signature and seal.

The forces that Imrik can mobilize are far greater than those of Finubar, which means greater magnanimity and confidence.

A stack of documents was put into Teclis' magic pocket. He needed some proof to mobilize the agencies under the royal court to coordinate the matter. A piece of order would only make the army obey, but it was hard to say about the management agency.

"If all goes well, I may return to Ulthuan in a year or two..."

"Yes, of course it will work... but I'd rather go back to Ulthuan than stay in a place like Bretonnia."

Teclis remained silent. He waved his staff and left a crystal behind. "I leave things here to you. I hope you won't be tortured to collapse by the greenskins' magic." (End of this chapter)
