Gwen Spider: I'm from Prototype

Chapter 10 The Black Death Strikes

Chapter 10 The Black Death Strikes
"Fake!"

Jeff's tone changed, and he pointed in horror at the slowly moving "human skin" in the bathtub.

"George! Look at that darn thing!"

Hearing his partner's voice, George looked into the bathtub.

The human skin that twisted and moved suddenly, seemed to be pushed by a force, and slid towards the bottom of the bathtub.

George was also shocked by this weird scene!

But he still maintained a calm mood, holding the pistol against the sliding human skin tissue.

In the next second, a small spider emerged from the mouth of the human skin tissue.

Obviously, the human skin was able to move before, and it was the spider who made a mess of it.

"Shutter!"

Seeing that it was a false alarm, Jeff couldn't help cursing.

Putting away the pistol, Jeff said to George, "I'll go to the other room. What the hell, that damned spider!"

After Jeff left, George began checking the bathroom for other clues.

After checking the locker and washstand, he bent down to check the bathtub, and finally found a somewhat familiar badge under the bathtub stopper.

Light red coat of arms, composed of elements such as sun, book and cross.

George frowned at the badge, which he remembered seeing in his daughter Gwen.

This should be the school emblem of Midtown High School.

A few days ago, Gwen told herself that she had lost her school badge.

Is it a badge left by the murderer, or is it simply an item of the deceased.

George was lost in thought.

A few minutes later, Jeff walked into the bathroom, holding a framed picture of a man and woman together.

"Information came from the police station. The owner of the house is a couple. The man's name is Dan, and the woman's name is Muriel."

He pointed to the human skin tissue in the bathroom, and said to George, "The one lying in the bathroom should be the hostess Muriel."

George glanced at the school badge in his hand and asked his partner, "Do they have children? High school students, or college?"

"Probably not, why do you ask?"

"fine."

George shook his head, let out a breath, and walked out of the disgusting bathroom.

What does it mean when a spider emerges from the human skin?
Is the school badge of Midtown High School in my hand really left by the murderer?
If the badge is left by the murderer, does it mean that the murderer is from Midtown High School?

He frowned and fell into deep thought.

The rain outside the window is getting closer and closer.

After a while, he raised his eyes and looked out the window.

Two blocks away from what George could see, Peter, a member of Midtown High School, stepped on the wet ground and stared at the slum in front of him.

Hell's Kitchen.

This is the notorious slum in the United States, which is full of countless criminals and gangsters, and it is also a hotbed of countless crimes.

In order to reduce unnecessary troubles, Peter set his goal for tonight here.

Stepping on the rain, he came outside a laundry shop and looked up at the sky where the rain was getting heavier and heavier.

There was no light in the gray sky.

The garbage collection point on the side of the road is full of garbage, as if it has not been cleaned for a few days, and there is a sour smell that seems to be there.

Peter raised his head, and the black mask on his face faded, revealing his true face.

He sticks out his tongue, tasting the rain.

acid rain!

Familiar taste.

It smells the same as the black rain I drenched in Manhattan.

Shaking his head, Peter entered the laundry.

10 minutes later.

Peter came out of the shop with a brown bag in his hand.

He glanced back, the door of the laundromat was open, and it was a mess.

More than a dozen men who appeared to be laundry workers passed out on the ground, motionless.

However, although the other party is wearing a laundry uniform, he is not a real laundry employee.

It's gang members under the guise of "laundry".

It has been a long tradition for American gangsters to open laundromats for money laundering.

It can be traced back to the laundromat opened by mafia members in Chicago, USA in the 20s.

When the income is settled every night, these mafia members will count the illegal income obtained through gambling, smuggling, etc., and then declare it to the tax department, so that the illegal income becomes legal.

This is also the earliest origin of the term "money laundering".

As a person who has lived in the world of "Prototype" for more than ten years in his previous life, Peter is naturally very familiar with this kind of gangster activities.

After walking around the Hell's Kitchen where the gangsters were rampant, I was sure that the laundromat in front of me was a gangster money laundering institution with a "laundry" signboard.

So he unceremoniously entered the laundry, asked these people to hand over the US dollars in the store, and let the gang members know the fate of not cooperating.

"Dangdang!"

Behind him, the door was flung open.

A strong man with blood on his face stumbled out and pointed the pistol in his hand at Peter.

His hand holding the gun was still shaking due to excessive tension.

Peter's violent behavior just now left a deep shadow on him.

The body shape is as uncapturable as lightning, and every time a shot is made, a member will fall down wailing.

The pistol was knocked away by the black matter fired from his hand before he pulled the trigger.

Killing intent exuded from his whole body, and that weird mask made people fearful just by looking at it.

The pistol that used to give him a sense of security now made him feel completely insecure.

The reason why he dared to muster up the courage to run out and point the pistol at the devil in front of him was because he knew how powerful the boss was.

After reporting to the boss, the boss ordered him to hold the other party until the mutants he sent came over, so he dared not come out.

"Don't move!"

With a slight tremor in the voice of the strong man, he said to Peter, who had his back turned to him.

"If I were you, I'd lie on the ground and play dead."

The black wriggling tentacles covered Peter's face again, forming a "spider mask".

He turned around, and a hoarse voice came from under the black spider mask.

"Put the money down, you don't know whose stuff you're touching."

The gang member swallowed and said to Peter.

"Oh? I didn't intend to know, but now I'm a little interested."

Peter put the bag in his hand on the ground, and said lightly, "Tell me, whose territory is this?!"

"Golden Bian!"

The gangster uttered the name that terrified him.

"Jin Bin...?"

Hearing the name, Peter repeated it in his mouth.

Of course he had heard of the name of this New York underground emperor.

The strong gangster thought that this guy wearing a strange mask was afraid of the name, and was about to say something in pursuit of victory.

Suddenly, I saw a black lightning, coming towards me!

"Bang"!
Unable to react in time, he was grabbed by the throat.

The severe pain of suffocation hit him immediately, and his eyes turned black.

"Unfortunately, the name doesn't convince me!"

"Whoosh!"

The black "spider silk" instantly inserted into the opponent's heart.

"thump!"

The strong man's body fell heavily on the ground, splashing a lot of rain.

Picking up the rain-stained bag again, Peter walked into the rain without changing his expression.

The cells with greatly increased activity covered his body, forming a layer of shallow scale-like substance, allowing him to resist the rainwater, and he didn't have to worry about becoming a drowned chicken.

Just as he was about to leave this place, the phone in his pocket suddenly rang.
