Chapter 22 Mysterious Incident Investigation Report

Chapter 22 Mysterious Incident Investigation Report
New York, Clarion Times.

"Let's see what brilliant ideas we have that can compete for last night's headlines."

In the editorial office of the newspaper, J. Jonah Jameson sat down on the chair and said to his subordinates in a high-pitched tone.

As the head of a company, Jameson is really not a good boss in the eyes of the employees.

It's not that he deducted wages, or deprived employees of benefits in disguise, and other "smelly capitalist" actions.

It's his stubborn and obnoxious character, and his unbearably big mouth.

"No one can stop Jonah Jameson's bad mouth, even if you are the most vicious villain in New York City."

This is the most consistent evaluation given to JJ by all the employees of the newspaper.

After smoking a cigar, Jonah Jameson picked up a New York Times newspaper on the table.

"Let me see the headlines on the front page of New York this morning, what is it?"

The headlines in the newspaper suddenly caught his eyes.

"A large-scale stampede at Midtown High School!"

Frowning, he turned over the newspaper and continued to look at the side page.

The title of the subclass is: "A certain rich man's mansion is on fire!"

"All right!"

Jonah Jameson slammed the newspaper on the table, "Let me pray, is this morning's Daily Horn also planning to use this? Use these content without gimmicks, or the house where the fat cat lives is on fire as the headline !"

"It's such a crap story that we don't even have the technology to figure it out."

With a cigar in his mouth, Jameson turned on his "hair dryer mode" again.

"So I want to ask you, what exactly is our front page headline today?"

The editors at the conference table looked at each other, no one dared to touch the boss.

Say it now, no matter what kind of headline it is, the boss will be angry.

"Listen, I know that Spider-Woman appeared in that high school last night. I want to know if she killed those unlucky guys and if she caused the riot!"

Jameson quickly brought the topic to his most hated Spider-Woman.

The editors slandered from the bottom of their hearts, the boss came again, and everything would be blamed on Spider-Woman.

With a "bang", Jonathan hammered his hand on the table and said loudly: "Spider Woman is the guarantee of newspaper sales! So our report must involve her, even though we don't even know her name now, even her constellation. No idea, none of you reporters could tell me that."

After venting to his subordinates, he sat down on the boss chair and continued, "The headline of today's newspaper is: Hero or Demon? Spider Woman Kills Several People in Midtown High School!"

"but."

A reporter below objected, "We didn't have an exact investigation. Maybe, just like before, Spider-Woman is the one who saves."

"That's a bad guess. Listen, Yulrich, don't believe a boy scout in pajamas hanging out on the street, such a freak, can be a helpful guy. If it's not for some eccentricity, no People would be willing to do that!"

The reporter continued to suggest to his boss, "Maybe we can replace it with a title that doesn't cause such a big controversy."

"No! Just follow the title."

With a cigar in his hand, Jameson leaned forward slightly, staring at the editors with oppressive eyes.

"I want to expose her true colors."

"Is she a mutant? Or an extraterrestrial who came to Earth in a rocket? I want to know if she really has those superpowers, or if she's just a fake charlatan."

After publishing his evaluation of Spider-Woman, Jameson turned his attention to the reporter who raised objections just now, and said, "Yurich, I want you to go to Midtown High School, and quickly find a way to grab some reports, those sons of a bitch World News jerks, like rabbits, they can outrun you."

(World News Weekly: An American supermarket tabloid founded in 1973, known for reporting anecdotes and absurd news.)
"Okay, this is the end of the meeting, everyone is going to act, I'm not paying you a salary, let you drink coffee and stare blankly."

After giving Yurich the order, he clapped his hands to end the meeting and signaled everyone to go to work.

"Wait, Yurich."

When everyone went out, Jameson stopped Yurich, "Yurich, go to Midtown High School for an interview, do you have any clues."

"There are some. Through my friends in the police station, I learned about a student named Mary Jane Watson. She witnessed the fight between Spider-Woman and monsters. Maybe she knows more information than ordinary students. We can learn from her Get something."

Ulrich said to him.

"Very well, then act."

Jameson patted Yulrich on the shoulder in satisfaction.

That's what he likes about employees.

"Mary Jane Watson?"

On the side of the road, among the bustling crowd, Agent Phil Coulson was standing in front of a hot dog shop.

He held a newspaper from the Daily Bugle in one hand and a hot dog he had just bought in the other.

After flipping through the nonsense newspaper with a frown, he threw it into the trash can.

He regretted that he had wasted 5 minutes on this and delayed his time enjoying the hot dog.

but
Although the newspapers are basically nonsense, they are not worthless.

For example, he is targeting Mary Jane Watson in the next phase of the investigation, which was also mentioned in the Daily Bugle.

It seems that his actions are about to speed up.

He swallowed the hot dog in a few bites and walked towards his car.

After getting into the car, Coulson skillfully put on his seat belt and started the car.

He was originally investigating a super mysterious incident in Maine, and was sent here to investigate the prom tragedy at Midtown High School.

The two have a certain similarity, both involve some kind of unknown mystical power.

S.H.I.E.L.D. merged and investigated this mysterious incident, and acted as the main person in charge.

As he started the car and listened to the roar of the engine, he thought about the analysis he had read about events in Maine.

"For the scientific community, the concept of superpower itself is a hard pill to swallow, not to mention the horror movie-like magic boards used by warlocks, wizards, table spirit strikes, floating small crowns, etc. decoration, but understanding does not excuse scientific irresponsibility.”

"It was a massive earthquake that shattered our established concepts of how the natural world moves and responds."

"Drip!"

The urging of the car sounded behind Coulson, and he had to withdraw his thoughts from the report, stepping on the accelerator and driving forward.
