Chapter 107
Tianshou Festival, Dusk
Not long after the sun had set, although there was still a little afterglow, the sky had gradually begun to dim.

Although there was a curfew in Tang Dynasty, the time was late, and it was not considered curfew time until nine o'clock in Haishi.

Before that, all the shops, teahouses and brothels were brightly lit.

Since there are entertainment venues, there will naturally be customers who enjoy the service.

So even at night, the festival market in Chang'an is still crowded with people.

Sometimes even more lively than during the day.

After all, many people need to work during the day, and at night, when everyone is free, more people will naturally come out to play.

Today's Chang'an Night Market is even more lively than in the past, because the emperor's decree specially approved that there will be no curfew in Chang'an City tonight.

Generally speaking, except for the Lantern Festival, there is usually a curfew.

But today is not only the Tianshou Festival, but also the Holy Majesty is going to hold a Ten Thousand Dharma Conference in Xuandu Temple of Chang'an City, inviting monks from all over the world to practice wonderful dharma together.

Therefore, there is no such thing as a curfew in Chang'an today.

Since it is the "Wanfa" conference, the more sects participating in the conference, the better.

Therefore, in addition to the two schools of Buddhism and Taoism in China, there are also Zoroastrianism, Shamanism, Fanism, Tianzhuism, Nestorianism, Manichaeism, and even Jackoism, Dongbaism, etc.

Basically, well-known religious figures from all over the world came to attend the conference.

Such a grand event can only be held in Datang, in Chang'an, the center of the contemporary world where all the achievements of civilization are gathered.

Suzaku Street, Xuandu Temple

Xuandu Temple is located in the ninth and fifth place of Chang'an City. It is extremely noble and can be lived by very people. Therefore, in the second year of Emperor Kaihuang of the former Sui Dynasty, Xuandu Temple was established here in order to suppress the spirit.

Although it has gone through a hundred years of vicissitudes, due to the continuous repairs by the emperors of the past dynasties, the Xuandu Temple has not declined, but has become more magnificent.

Liu Yuxi, a later poet, was exiled from the capital for ten years. When he came back, he heard that Taoists planted peach trees in Xuandu Temple. All the peach trees were planted after Liu Lang left.

It can be seen that Xuandu Temple is a landmark building in Chang'an.

Now, although there are no peach blossoms in Xuandu Temple, there are religious monks from all over the world.

Although they are not as pleasing to the eye as peach blossoms, the flower of wisdom hidden in everyone's heart is more intoxicating than any tangible flower in the world.

At this moment, these cultivators from all over the world have returned to their respective positions and are waiting for the final master to show up.

Interestingly, the number of seats in the Ten Thousand Laws Conference seems to be quite meaningful.

Although it seems that Buddhism and Taoism sit on both sides, the Taoist gate is on the left.

The left is the position of honor, so there is one more chief position than the right.

And the one sitting on it was the Daoist Master Lingxu of the Shangqing Sect.

For a conference like this, the order of seating and even the location must have been carefully considered, and it was definitely not arranged randomly.

Then contact the venue of the Wanfa Conference, which is the Taoist Xuandu Temple. The meaning behind this has to make the participants and onlookers think deeply.

Of course, in addition to the practitioners inside the temple, countless people from Chang'an gathered outside the temple in Xuandu.

Except for the place where Qianniuwei cleared the way, the rest of the nearby places have already been surrounded and impenetrable.

Everyone tried their best to squeeze in, just to have a wide view and see the situation inside.

Those who really couldn't squeeze in tried their best to watch the grand event: some climbed high, some built ladders, and some even sat on other people's necks, broadcasting it in real time.

At this moment when all eyes were on everyone, there was a sudden shout: "The Holy Majesty is here——"

The servant leading the way in front of the head took small steps to lead the way for the warriors behind.

Behind him, several warriors worked together to carry the majestic dragon chariot steadily towards Xuandu Temple.

"Long live my emperor, long live, long live!"

Qianniuwei, Longwuwei, Baotaowei, and the people still watching all around knelt down and praised in unison.

The voice of the crowd shouted like thunder, and the majestic momentum rushed straight to Xiaohan.

Under the scene of thousands of people surrendering, the dragon chariot was slowly carried into Xuandu Temple.

In Guannei, Lishi carried Long Yu, and under the guidance of the servant, he gradually walked to the Ninth Five-Year Land.

There was originally a platform for praying to the sky, but now it is used to welcome Shengjia.

"Fall—chariot—"

After the words fell, the heavy chariot frame carved with dragons and phoenixes stopped steadily on the praying platform.

"Proclaim the decree." Inside the dragon chariot, Shen Youzhi ordered lightly.

The servant at the side got the order, and immediately took three steps forward, slowly unfolding the imperial decree in his hand, and announcing the rules of the meeting to everyone present.

At the end, Shen Youzhi said in person: "I convened this Ten Thousand Laws Conference not to make each sect and sect compete, but to hope that monks from all over the world can brainstorm and study wonderful methods together."

"Yes." He then added: "In this meeting, there is no competition, and there is no dispute of words.

It is only necessary for each faction to choose a sage as a representative to explain their own theories and demonstrate their unique skills to the participants. "

"Finally, I have one more question, and I invite all the sages to discuss it together."

Everyone in the audience nodded after hearing the words.

There were many participants in this Ten Thousand Dharma Conference, many of whom were true practitioners.

The reason why they participated in this conference was not to be famous, nor to debate scriptures, but to see the practice methods of other schools.

After all, stones from other mountains can be used to attack jade.

Cultivation practice requires both practice and practice.

The so-called cultivation is naturally practice, and the so-called practice refers to experience.

And if you want to increase your experience, you naturally need to watch and think more.

So, practice is by no means just sitting on the edge of one's head.

Now that the rules have been clarified, the Ten Thousand Laws Conference will naturally start smoothly.

According to the rankings determined by drawing lots in advance, representatives of each sect and sect will be sent to the center of the venue one by one to explain the magical method and demonstrate their supernatural powers.

The first to appear was the Zoroastrian Cult from the Western Regions.

This sect respects fire and believes that fire is the incarnation of the Supreme God of Light in the mortal world.

Their teachings are also very simple, that is, the dualism of good and evil. They believe that there are two forces of light and darkness in the world struggling, one brings happiness, while the other brings disaster.

Therefore, their believers follow the light in order to pursue happiness, and pay attention to three principles in their practice in the world: good thinking, good words and good deeds.

Zoroastrians firmly believe that only by following these three principles can they be blessed by the God of Light and stay away from the erosion of darkness.

After preaching the teachings, the Zoroastrians began to show their own methods of controlling fire.

Because of advocating fire and light, they are in contact with fire every day, and the use of fire has reached the level of perfection.

But obviously, this kind of trick-like method is very difficult for everyone.

After worshiping Zoroastrianism, followers of Nestorianism came forward to talk about their own doctrines and philosophies.

The so-called Nestorianism is actually a branch of Christianity split from the Eastern Orthodox Church. It is also known as the "Three Persian religions" together with Manichaeism and Zoroastrianism.

Their teachings stress the "contradiction between God and man," and they do not admit that gods have incarnations in the world, nor do they advocate using images of gods or holy objects to represent gods.

Because of this, they were considered heretics and were eventually forced to flee Eastern Rome and live in Persia.

There is no doubt that Nestorian teachings are diametrically opposed to the core teachings of Zoroastrianism.

So they both dismissed each other's theories.

If they met in other places, maybe they would still quarrel and fight.

But before the meeting, the Emperor of Middle Earth had announced the rules, so they would naturally not be so stupid as to offend Tianwei.
