Feast of villains

Chapter 5 5. The old and powerful fear

Chapter 5 5. The old and powerful fear

The reception hall is clean and bright, the windows and floors are wiped clean, and there are robots on duty 24 hours a day at the reception desk.

Nance took a booklet introducing Lesson [-] from the counter and walked to his office.

The department he works for is the Special Crime Response Section directly under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Imperial Cabinet. From the first section to the ninth section, there are nine branches stationed in the nine states of the empire.

Each class is an independent operation department, and the whole process of pursuit, interrogation, trial, and detention is not interfered and supervised by the local court council town hall.

As the head of the ninth class, Nance needs to be responsible for the crimes of familiars throughout California.

His superior is only the Minister of the Interior who is far away in the capital, and no official or institution in Shin-Yokohama can intervene and order him.

Earth emperor?
Nance was a little amused.

It feels pretty good.

But when he thought of all the crazy women detained and managed here and the unknown future, he couldn't be happier.

As for the Miss Su whom he met in the morning, Nance had reason to suspect that she escaped from prison in violation of the regulations while serving her sentence, and was stationed on the street to steal the principal's wallet.

Living in the same place with such a group of criminals who can't be locked up, really feels like a pain in the back!

Walking through the tiled floor, Nance came to his office. When he entered the door, there was a row of mahogany bookcases filled with various documents and files.

On the huge steel desk used in the office, there are scattered yellowed printer paper, a pile of manual record books and an old-fashioned computer.

Even Nance, an old antique of the 21st century, felt that it had a taste of the 20th century when he saw such a room.

Throwing the pamphlet on the table, inserting flowers into the pen holder, he leaned back on the chair and straightened his legs, looking at the gloomy sky outside the window.

"The demon queen looks so fierce. It seems that I can't stay in this ninth lesson, or I should leave immediately..."

While muttering and looking at the sky, a call suddenly came from his ear.

"Come and see me—"

Nance blinked.

It seemed to be the voice of a queen.

See you sir.

It's too late to hide from you, crazy.

Ok?
dark?

Nance's body froze suddenly, and by the time he realized the strangeness, he had already sunk into a silent and dark space.

It was chilly all around, and there was a strange and frightening atmosphere in the air.

He stood there alone in a daze.

I felt restless and terrified, I couldn't move my body even if I wanted to, and my hands and feet seemed to be paralyzed and I lost feeling.

The air was viscous and heavy, just like the cold sea water that stopped flowing at the bottom of the deep sea, exerting tremendous pressure on him from all directions, making his eardrums buzz.

An unspeakable sense of fear spread in his heart, and Nance subconsciously took a few steps back.In the darkness, I felt a hard vertical plane on my back, a wall.

Leaning his back against something solid, he finally got a little bottom, and he said to himself: Calm down, think about it slowly.

Repeatedly took several deep breaths.

During this period, whispers that were sometimes sharp, sometimes seductive, and sometimes hysterical whispered in his ears.

"Come here..."

"Don't you want to see me..."

"I'm right in front of you, why did you stop..."

Obviously these devil whispers are in a completely unfamiliar language, and Nance has never heard of them, but he understands them.

Following the devil's guidance, he groped in the dark and slowly stepped to the right, stepping into the air.

Only then did he realize that there was an additional downward staircase in front of him, and a rush of water-like impact pushed him staggeringly down.

The darkness stretches endlessly.

I'm afraid it's not going to go all the way to hell... Nance couldn't help thinking pessimistically that once he reached hell, he would never be able to return to the surface.

The steps continued to descend, and soon a diffuse gray fog came into sight, blurry and boundless.

In this gray fog, he saw some shining things, which were pictures one after another.

Jimena, who was wearing a red nightgown, looked at him with fascinated eyes, and got into his bed.

The light poured in from the blinds, illuminating the caress before the clouds and rain, and the two embraced and lay down.

She is charming and intends to sweeten him and lure him into Paradise.

"what's going on……"

Nance was stunned.

He saw clearly that the woman was indeed Ximena.

It is impossible for him to remember that wonderful devil face, red and blue eyes with different colors.

The screen is still flashing.

In the gray mist, he took off her clothes lightly and praised every part of her body. But then she became angry again, and grabbed her neck with both hands, with a grim expression: "Why do you look down on me, go to hell—"

She gently raised her hand and tapped on the center of his brow.

"boom--"

His head exploded.

The gray fog flowed, and the picture was broken.

Burning wizard castles, Victorian steamships, steel torrents in World War II, and the shimmering skyline of Manhattan; the completely chaotic space-time turned into countless light particles, sputtering and flying out.

It was the same as interstellar crossing... Nance couldn't open his eyes at all, so he could only close them and gasp for breath.

After an unknown amount of time, the eyelids could hardly feel the light, and Nance opened his eyes trembling.

At some point, the steps under his feet were covered with a layer of wet mucus, ominously revealing hidden terror.

Deep down the steps, a strange shout came from somewhere whose location could not be determined.

It was an incoherent whisper that could only be conjured up with the right imagination to be the sound of some kind of creature.

Nance felt his head was about to explode, and the pain was as if he had been hammered by something.

Afraid?

afraid.

The oldest and strongest human emotion is fear, and the oldest and strongest fear is fear of the unknown.

Nance is really scared now.

All the pores on his body were exposed in the darkness, as if he had been stripped naked and thrown into a cage full of poisonous snakes. The strange and dignified darkness made the bloody aura float around him, and the poisonous snake wriggled and attacked, but he couldn't even detect the danger.

In the gray mist that flowed like water, a faint light suddenly came from below.

Light flickers in the distance.

It was like the twilight that leaked into the room through several layers of window screens in the morning, flickering.

Nance walked toward the light with his hand on the wall.

In the more gloomy depths, the small gleam was infinitely magnified in his eyes... It seemed to be the light flashing from the depths of the pupils of some huge creature.

As soon as he met this eye, Nance felt that his soul was about to be absorbed. The fear of the giant was pulled to the extreme, and the hopeless sense of collapse captured him instantly.

Words cannot describe what kind of creature it is, and no language can describe that ancient fear.

When the entire space under his feet is completely filled by this huge eye, all his subjective knowledge and cognition, all objective matter, energy, cosmic order, etc., have completely lost their effect in an instant, and some only Boundless nothingness.

however……

In addition to extreme fear, Nance was also a little inexplicably excited and curious, and even wanted to take a sneak peek.

It's that "hey, that's weird, let me take another look" mentality.

"Da da da……"

There was a crisp knocking sound coming from the ground.

Getting closer.

Nance's shirt was already drenched with cold sweat, his throat was so dry that he could hardly swallow his saliva.

"Da da da……"

The opponent is already close at hand.

Nance could even hear the sound of friction between the skin of her thighs and the hem of the skirt when she walked, which was silky and graceful.

As the footsteps approached, the fear in my heart miraculously weakened.

Do not worry about it.

Nance comforted himself in his heart. Although Ximena is a devil, at least she looks like a great beauty, not as disgusting as an octopus or a sarcoma... There is no need to be afraid, just play by ear, there is nothing to be afraid of, and you can't resist anyway.

He leaned against a wall, closed his eyes and held his breath.

The footsteps stopped.

Jimena was beside him, looking at him: "Scared? Come in."

Before opening his eyes, Nance could also sense the space change from the brightness changes on his eyelids.

The air also took on a new look, as if it had been transferred from a utility room full of waste newspapers to a flower room full of sunshine and fragrance.
