Chapter 466 Overwhelmed
"How can this be done, sir?"

When the Fire Knight heard that Messermo was going to shoulder everything alone, he was the first to disagree.

"So you plan to let the Horned Scholars fight the Black Knights?" Messemo asked back.

"We are your knights, and we should..." said the Flame Knight.

"There are too few of you. Don't create unnecessary casualties." Messermo shook his head.

The Flame Knight wanted to say something, but Messermo stopped him and said:

"You guys go do something else first."

"We won't run away." The Flame Knight said solemnly, "Even running away with the Horned Man and the information is not allowed."

"Why did you fast forward to the escape?" Messermo laughed, "I may not lose yet."

The smile faded, and Messermo's expression became stern:

"First, find the person who leaked the secrets of the vault."

The Flame Knight said: "What a coincidence! Andros and Xiu haven't come out for hundreds of years, but they escaped at this time..."

The Flame Knight hesitated for a moment and said:
“The only difference during this time is that we have a new group of guests.”

Messermo closed his eyes, looking sad.

He had thought of this possibility, but he was unwilling to admit it.

But just outside the vault, a comrade-in-arms whom he had never wanted to acknowledge became his enemy and raised the banner of rebellion.

Messermo was silent for a while, then said:

"Go and investigate, but don't harm them before you have evidence. Ask them to go back to the cell first. The reason is... to prevent the Black Knights from being accidentally injured by stray bullets during the siege and to prevent them from affecting our defense."

The Flame Knight nodded his head and accepted the order, but still a little worried, he said, "Sir, this is a critical moment. Do you want to call back old man Wen Ge?"

"I told you I'll fight the Black Knight myself," Messermo said. "Wingo's attack will only give people something to blame."

"What about Lady Laylana?" said the Flame Knight.

"She just returned to Ensis not long ago. Let her guard the city well and stabilize the city." Messermo said, "There are also many black knights in Ensis."

The Flame Knight retreated, and Messermo leaned back in his chair, his slender body slumped on the back, his slender arms hanging down, and the winged snake on his body also lay on his legs, no longer moving.

With a long sigh, Messermo decided to take a rest and prepare for tomorrow's battle.

As soon as he stood up, Messermo felt a vibration in the ground and a huge dull sound came from outside.

Messemo walked quickly to the source of the sound, which was the door to the vault. The bookshelves piled there were shedding dust, as if they had just been hit.

"What's going on?" Messermo asked.

The Flame Knight stepped forward quickly:

"The Black Knight is using a battering ram."

"Andros is deceiving us?" Messemo said in a deep voice.

The Flame Knight shook his head. “The Black Knight said that just now on the city wall, people from the vault were attacking them. They are going to start the battle early.”

"Who?!" Messermo was furious. "Didn't I tell you not to take action?"

The Flame Knight said: "The Flame Knight did not make a move, and the Horned Scholar also claimed that he did not make a move."

The red snake scales on Messermo's body exploded, and black fire overflowed from his clenched fists, snaking in the air.

"You guys guard the door first." Messermo's eyes were cold, "I'll go and invite those people in person."

Messermo stretched out his long legs and jumped directly onto the specimen in the center of the vault. Then he leaped again, and in a few bounces, he jumped directly from the first floor to the seventh floor.

Perched on the beam, the two red snakes on Messermo's body spit out their tongues and slowly swam to Messermo's eyes. The four emerald green snake pupils echoed the single golden pupil.

He had already seen where all the members of Patch's team were, and starting from the seventh floor, he blocked their way with spears in hand.

Lance Shanks was taking a nap on a specimen when he was tied up by Messermo's winged snake and flown to the fifth floor. Moore and Dan were also picked up and placed in front of Reda and Ampah.

Pacitanis and Laya in human form are also here. The Flame Knight has already found them and is negotiating with them.

The moment it landed, the flames spread across the floor, climbing along everyone's feet and dissipating.

Laya was startled and looked at Messermo. She wanted to say something, but was frightened back by Messermo's gloomy expression. She shrank back into Tanis's arms.

"Everyone, the war is coming. I hope you can go back to your cells for now," said Messermo. "Don't come out."

Lance Shanks bends his arm to show off his biceps:

"We are also very capable and can help."

"Enter the room, or become an enemy." Messemo's eyes were terrifying.

Lance Shanks was startled, not knowing what was wrong with Messermo, so he could only mutter as he followed everyone into the cell.

There was no humanitarian care this time. Everyone was locked in a house and sealed.

Messermo left and looked at the crowd from the window on the door:
"Don't try to leave. If I see you leaving, I will regard you as an enemy."

After controlling the strongest men, Messermo ordered the Fire Knight to find the others who were not here, and then immediately turned back and went around to the outside through the window.

Just as he went out, a crossbow arrow flew past his face and hit the iron wall behind him, with the tail of the arrow vibrating continuously.

The black knights had officially begun the siege. Not only were they using battering rams at the main gate, they were also using ladders and ropes to try to climb up the city walls, and both sides were firing crossbows at each other.

It can be seen that there is a fire burning in one of the places, which seems to be the source of the sneak attack from above as mentioned by the Flame Knight before.

"This is a misunderstanding," Messermo called out loudly.

But no one paid any attention to him. The blood had already started to flow, and once it started, it was hard to stop. Wounds are hard to heal, and they will always be passed on in another form.

A brilliant golden light lit up from under the city. The deputy leader of the Black Knights grew wings on his back and flew high into the sky. He flew directly in front of Messermo and slashed down with a double-headed sword.

Messermo raised his spear to block Xiu's double-headed sword. The former comrades looked at each other for a moment, and then Xiu's double-headed sword turned to the other side, cutting Messermo's body and forcing him to take a step back. He then stood firmly on the city wall, creating a space for the soldiers attacking the city.

"This is a misunderstanding," Messermo said to Xiu.

"Then let's make the best of it." Xiu's double-headed sword slashed continuously, "It's just one day early anyway."

Messermo blocked Xiu's continuous slash:
"Is this also true for your betrayal of me?"

"Filth is indeed filth, Queen Marica can't be wrong." Xiu said, "The Golden Tree can't be wrong either."

"So I can only be an abandoned pawn." Messemo smiled bitterly, and the big spear chopped down like a giant python with great force and power, forcing Xiu to retreat.

Messermo jumped up and chased after them, and the tip of his spear, which had been heated to a fiery red, pierced the ground. Then countless spears shot out from the ground, piercing all the soldiers who took the opportunity to climb up and knocked them back.

Xiu was familiar with this move. He flew into the air with his wings flapping. When Messermo drew his gun, he cut a wound on his body, causing blood to spurt out.

In pain, Messermo pressed Xiu's face with his other hand, and the flames exploded, blowing him away.

Messermo ran quickly along the city wall, swinging his spear, and the flowing flames crawled along the wall, shooting down the soldiers who were climbing the wall to attack the city, and then landed at the main gate. A fireball killed the black knights who were carrying the battering ram, and at the same time burned the battering ram made of a huge tree stump to ashes.

Messermo stood atop the burning log, bathed in flames, his robes and red snakes dancing in the heat.

The Piercer's vicious reputation was once again imprinted in the eyes of the soldiers.

After a brief silence, the black knights surrounded and attacked Messermo. No matter how powerful the filth was, it could not stop the resolute hearts of the holy warriors.

Messermo fought his way in and out of the Black Knights' ranks, with wounds constantly appearing on his body. Wherever he passed, his own blood mixed with the blood of the Black Knights.

Messermo only felt that his body was becoming more and more exhausted, and the anger in his heart was becoming more and more unsuppressible. The muscles all over his body were stirring and bulging like snakes.

The leader of the Black Knights, Andros, seized the opportunity and hit Messermo in the side with a hammer, knocking him flying.

Messermo flew out, his vision blurry.

When my vision returned, wherever I looked, I saw ferocity, disgust, and awe-inspiring looks of justice.

That is the look of looking at filth.

Messermo climbed up, swallowed the blood and complicated emotions, ignored the broken ribs, and scanned everyone with his bloodshot golden pupils.

There was a sudden explosion in the besieged camp.

The warriors who were originally engulfed by Messermo's flames climbed up again, bathed in flames, and then expanded and exploded. The armor on their bodies exploded into pieces and shot into the crowd, causing countless casualties.

The Black Knights were blown to pieces and fell into chaos. At this time, a fire knight descended from the sky, swung the flames to form a screen to block the view, and then took Messermo back to the vault.

On the platform high above the vault, the Flame Knight wearing a death mask helmet finished casting a spell, dodged the arrows, and returned to the vault.

"Didn't I tell you that you shouldn't have let Wengo come?" Messermo looked at the Flame Knight wearing a death mask and helmet. "Using a soulless zombie to self-destruct? The Golden Tree will only regard you as a heretic. There's no way you can clear yourself of this."

But the Flame Knight in the Death Mask did not respond.

"You've been taboo enough anyway." said the Flame Knight who brought Messermo back, "Loyalty is the honor of a knight. We swear allegiance to you, not the Golden Tree."

Messermos didn't know what to say, so he returned to the city wall to observe the battle.

Wengo caused the Black Knights a lot of trouble, and the burning of the huge wood of the battering ram also prevented the Black Knights from further attacking. They could only wait for the flames to be extinguished temporarily before they could start clearing the ashes and attacking again.

The previous fierce attack by Messermo also caused heavy losses to the Black Knights, and they needed to reorganize their formation.

Seeing that the attack was temporarily relieved, Messermo returned to the vault and walked up to the second floor in a menacing manner. The blood on his face coagulated and turned dark red, sticking to his face, looking very scary.

In the temporary prison on the second floor, Patch and others reviewed what had happened.

"I don't understand," Lance Shanks said, "Why would someone outside want to attack the vault and lock us up inside."

"I guess they think we're traitors," said Patch.

Lance Shanks understood now and was very unhappy:
"You think we are the traitors? We are the good guys."

"That's not necessarily the case." Patch looked at his teammates with interest. "After all, there are only twelve of us in total. If we can identify six sources, it's not surprising that there is a traitor."

Lance Shanks looked around vigilantly:

"Is there really a bad guy? Who is it?"

"It's impossible to find it now," Patch said. "Let's think about something more practical."

"Like what's for dinner tonight?" Lance Shanks asked.

"How did they escape?" Patch said, "If Messermo thinks we are the traitors, he will definitely not show any mercy."

"Didn't Messermo say that if we run away we will be considered enemies?" Lance Shanks said.

"If we don't run away, we'll have to take a chance that Messermo will think we're okay," Patch said. "I don't want to put my life in the hands of others."

Patch said, lying on the door, studying the gap in the door lock. Occasionally, he climbed up to the wall next to him and knocked here and there to see where it was weaker.

"What are you doing?" Messermo's face appeared from the window on the door, staring at Patch coldly.

"Help me check the defense of your vault." Patch turned his hand that was knocking on the wall over, calmly stepped down from the wall, and took a few steps. "Not bad, the defense is good, the enemy should not be able to chisel in through the wall."

"Yes, that's right. We are helping you." Lance Shanks tried to smooth things over.

"Help me, do you mean attack the Black Knights and escalate the conflict?" Messermo suppressed his anger, "Excuse me, who was attacking the Black Knights just now?"

Lance Shanks was a little confused: "Who is it?"

Patch and the others looked at each other, all confused.

Patch said, "It looks like there's some misunderstanding."

Messermo said: "But my knights and Horned Scholars have also denied that anyone attacked the Black Knights."

"Oh, maybe the Black Knights staged this themselves." Patch waved his paw, "They lied about being attacked, and then they could attack openly. Didn't you do this when you exterminated an entire clan under the pretext of your beliefs? You should be familiar with this practice."

At this time, looking at Messer's tearful expression, Patch did not forget to make a few sarcastic remarks.

“Andros is not that kind of person,” Messermo said.

Patch directly pointed out what Messermo meant:
"So what you mean is that one of us is messing with you, and you suspect we are the traitor?"

"I don't want to doubt you," said Messermo, "but the timing is too coincidental. The map of the Black Knight leader's hiding place is in the vault. It has been there for hundreds of years without any problems, but now someone has found the location and rescued it."

"We are not united internally. There may be a traitor inside us. I am not one of them." Patch laughed. "If we find the traitor, can we just deal with him and let us go?"

As soon as Patch said this, everyone immediately looked at other teammates warily, with a hint of suspicion in their eyes.

Most people's eyes were on Anpahe.

Everyone has witnessed the glorious deeds of the Blood Dynasty. And An Pah is indeed not very sociable.

Lance Shanks suddenly realized:
"Ah, I was saying that when everyone was playing together, you were the only one reading a book. You really have bad intentions!"

"Read a book..." When Messermo heard this and thought about the Black Knight's location being leaked, his eyes became more serious as he looked at Ampah.

"Are you doubting me?" Ampah laughed. "I am indeed loyal to my Lord, but now I still have to help the nameless warrior first."

Can the words of the Blood Dynasty be trusted? No one is sure.

"It's not him." Leida suddenly spoke, actually to defend Ampah.

"How did you know that?" Patch asked.

Leida stared with bloodshot eyes:

"I suspected he would do something bad, so I have been monitoring him. He has indeed not communicated with anyone."

"There are always times when we are careless, right?" said Patch.

"No." Leida's eyes almost popped out.

Moore stammered:

"It really seems that every time I wake up, I see that Leida has never slept."

"Superman." Patch exclaimed.

Leida looked at Messermo:
"Mr. Messermo, I can assure you that I was monitoring everyone present, and there were no leakers."

The shining eyes of Leida were reflected in Messermo's eyes. If anyone in this group was the most trustworthy, it would probably be Leida, who was not a person without light.

Messermo was somewhat shaken.

Patch said, "If you want to find a mole, this isn't the place for everyone."

"Yes." Lance Shanks looked back and forth, "Where's Roger Fia, and Colin Greg and the others."

"Colin and Greg are underground, and my people are on their way." Messermo said, "Those two..."

Messermo just went upstairs and indeed did not see Roger and Fia.

Previously, he had given the task of finding the others to the Flame Knight.

Now he had already looked around outside, but he didn't see anyone coming with Greg or Roger.

Messermo felt something was wrong.

Roger usually has a low profile, but he often browses the books in the vault. Messermo's impression of him is that Wuming often discusses rock climbing techniques with him. It is said that Roger's barehanded rock climbing skills are very good and he can climb straight down the cliff.

"Did they escape along the outer wall?" Messermo said, "But why are Greg and Colin still silent..."

Messermo was going to go down and take a look himself. If there was any problem with Greg or Colin, he began to worry about the wizards.

Messermo was about to go over when he saw the Flame Knight coming over with Colin. "Sir," the Flame Knight said, "he is not with the priest, but in the prayer hall."

Colin, wearing a blindfold and a wheel shackle around his neck, walked towards Messermo with firm steps.

Looking at Colin's resolute, serious and unsmiling expression, Messermo felt something vaguely.

Colin walked up to Messermo and said to her:
"Are you looking for a mole?"

"How do you know?" Messermo asked.

"Because I am," Colin answered.

"You?" Messermo was surprised.

The people who heard Colin's words from inside the door were also a little surprised: "Ah?"

Colin did often walk around the vault, and people didn't avoid him when they talked about important matters. But that was mainly because people didn't talk to him closely, and when they talked about things, they often used paper and pen and gestures. Colin, a blind man, had no way of knowing the full picture of what they were talking about.

How can such a person be a mole and pass information to others?

No one could even imagine how he saw the map marking the hiding place of the Black Knight Leader, as the vault didn't thoughtfully provide a Braille map.

"How can a blind man like you be a traitor?" Lance Shanks asked without hesitation, "And why did you betray us? Aren't we good partners?"

Colin raised one hand and pulled off the blindfold:
"First of all, I'm not blind."

Colin's eyes were bright, even starry, as he looked around at everyone.

"What are you so proud of, traitor?" Patch threw a small stone through the window and hit Colin on the forehead.

Colin seemed to be quite used to it and didn't care. He looked at Messemo, Patch and others calmly:

"You think I'm a traitor, but I never considered you my partners. I believe in the Golden Tree, what about you? You are a bunch of heretics!"

Colin glared at Patch:

"I came here to correct mistakes and prevent those who go against the Tiangang and blaspheme the Golden Law from continuing to appear. But you, you actually want to end the holy war and let the Sons of Filth return to the border. You are tarnishing the legitimacy of the Golden Law."

Colin looked at Messermo again:

"The snake is a betrayer of the Golden Tree, and fire should not exist within the Golden Law. As long as you stay in this world, you will bring shame to the Golden Law."

Colin's expression was solemn and fanatical, serious and solemn. He looked at Messemo without any fear:

"I'm done, you can kill me now."

After hearing this, Messermo's original anger seemed to be drained away, and he smiled bitterly with some powerlessness:
"Really? Or is it because I'm a snake..."

"The snake betrayed the golden tree, so even if it was betrayed by everyone, it was justified." Colin said, "That is the punishment of the golden tree for the snake's betrayal. It is the curse you deserve. You were born to be despised by others."

"But I never betrayed the golden tree." Messermo whispered, "I gave everything I had. I also hate my fire, but it can't be extinguished..."

"But your nature is that of a snake. Sooner or later you will betray everything," Colin said. "Your filthy bloodline is destined to this fate. From the moment you are born, you should prove the greatness of the golden tree with your death and bring joy to people with your injuries."

Another stone was thrown out of the window and hit Colin on the forehead. This time it was harder and faster, and Colin's head was bleeding. It seemed that his eye was crooked and half of it fell out.

This time it was Tanis who threw it.

Colin continued to bleed and said to Messermo:

"And I have seen what you priests have done. You have deceived people with false blessings. You have allowed people who should not have blessings to receive them, and you have threatened others with false blessings. You are blaspheming guidance and blessings!"

"I can't bear to watch it anymore." Lance Shanks rolled up his sleeves and prepared to rub the thunder gun.

Colin looked at Lance Shanks:
"You talk as if you didn't do it."

"What did we do?" Lance Shanks was stunned.

Colin looked at Messermo:
"Why do you think you suddenly lost control that night? It was because Wuming spiked your wine. And Greg, he can't cure witches at all. He just wanted you to stop killing them as a delaying tactic."

"You are also a beneficiary." Lance Shanks said, "Put down the bowl and curse, right?"

"I never agreed to come here," Colin said. "I accept my death."

Messemo took a few steps back, seemingly unwilling to listen to Colin's words, and waved his hand wearily, asking the Flame Knight to lock him up alone.

"You can't end the holy war!" Colin screamed crazily, "I saw it, I saw it, the horrible prophecy. When the holy war ends, the abyss will come, the golden tree will be destroyed! Life will melt! The border will come to an end!"

"A fate of being abandoned by everyone..." Messemo chewed on these words, feeling more and more bitter.

He walked away, perhaps staggering a little because of his injury.

Patch eavesdropped on the wall and confirmed with Tanis:

"Has Messermo gone far?"

“No shadow,” Tanis said.

Patch was digging in the corner, and that was how he dug out the stone he had just thrown out.

"Time to run," said Patch.

"Hasn't the traitor been found?" Lance Shanks said, "We are safe now."

"Colin shook us out," Patch said. "He's done with the Black Knight, and now it's our turn."

"Can he finish off the Black Knight?" Lance Shanks doubted. "I think he's seriously injured."

"Don't forget, there's also Ensis City." Patch said, "With Lalana, he can't lose."

Messermo staggered back to his dark room.

There is a full-length statue of Marika, which is rare in Shadow Land, holding her young child in her arms.

Messermo locked himself in a dark room and stared at the sacred statue.

"Mother, have you really abandoned me..."

This time, Messermo did not pray to the sculpture, which was unusual. He found the magic circle in the room, which was Kalia's remote communication technology.

Even though it is across the ocean, it can still display the real-time image of the person in front of the magic circle, which is lifelike. It is a gentle magic circle.

Messermo activated the magic circle and waited.

The magic circle was never connected, and the people on the other side did not connect to the magic circle.

Messermo's eyes flickered.

Having just discovered that he had been betrayed again, and faced with the current situation, his emotions became increasingly complicated.

The door of the dark room was knocked open, and light instantly poured into the dark room. Messemo looked back and found that it was the chief knight Kud who was supposed to guard the door for him.

Kud didn't care about etiquette and walked quickly towards Messermo:
"My lord, something terrible is happening - the Horned Men are attacking."

"Hornman?" Messermo frowned. "At this time?"

"Mulitiel sent a letter personally." Kud said, "The Horned People besieged Ensis City. The situation is critical."

"Mulitiel? She should be guarding Laelana." said Messermo.

"Yes, but she is here." Kud said, "Without Lady Laylana clearing the way for her, she can't get out. Without her, there is no way to get into the vault. Two divine beasts are dancing lions, several divine beast warriors, and dozens of horn warriors and curse swordsmen are cooperating with countless horn people to launch a general attack. Ensis City has already fallen halfway."

"Can the Horned People gather so much strength?" Messermo was shocked.

"I don't know," Kud said, "but we haven't done our best to clean it up over the years."

"The Horned People have gathered an army, while we are fighting among ourselves." Messermo covered his one eye, "Open the gate and ask Andros to stop the war. Now is not the time to fight among ourselves. Go rescue Ensis City."

There was so much to do that Messermo forced himself to stand up and prepare to deal with the war that was about to come.

Amidst all this fatigue and busyness, Messermo had a hint of doubt; he always felt like he had forgotten something.

Between the injury, the setbacks, and the threats from the Horned Man, he no longer had time to think carefully.

Messermo opened the gate and stood behind it, covered in wounds, facing all the black knights.

"Aren't you afraid that we will rush in?" Andros also stepped out of the crowd and faced Messermo.

"If you continue to fight, I can hold out until the gate closes." Messermo said, "The Horned People are attacking Ensis City with an unprecedented intensity. Let's stop fighting first."

"That's all because you've tolerated evil for so many years." Andros said, "Filth will always take care of filth, right?"

Messermo took a deep breath and said, “Let’s cooperate first.”

"I refuse," said Andros. "I do not trust snakes."

"Are you going to fight me and the Horned Man at the same time?" Messermo was angry. "You are courting your own destruction."

"You did the same thing, didn't you?" Andros said. "We were allies with the Horned People, and we started the Holy War. I didn't know your true nature then, but now it seems like a betrayal by the Serpent."

"I was following my mother's orders," said Messermo.

"And now we can't hear Lady Marica's voice at all." Andros said, "You said that Lady Marica asked us to start a holy war, but now Lady Marica has abandoned us. How can I trust you?"

Messermo was speechless.

There is a simple answer to this kind of question - that is, Marika is wrong, and the golden tree is wrong. But Andros will not accept this answer, and he himself cannot say it.

Messermo could feel that they had gone too far down the wrong path. So far that even if they were wrong, they had no choice but to keep going. No one had the energy or life to start over.

"So what are you going to do?" Messermo said, "The Horned People are coming, and they are strong in numbers."

"It won't be more or stronger than before." Andros said, "We have already won once during the heyday of the Horned People. The strongest beast among the Horned People, the Dancing Lion, was not only hunted by you, but Xiu also defeated it. And now we have the advantage of defending the city."

"Defend the city? Ensis City needs help." said Messermo.

"Laelana is yours, a Kalia," Andros said. "I don't trust her loyalty to the Golden Tree."

"You're abandoning a city?" Messermo said.

"You want to give up, don't you?" Andros said, "She should be rescued by you, and you have enough power. I can let you leave the city and prepare horses for you."

"I will take the Fire Knight out of the city, and the vault will no longer have any defense," said Messermo.

"What a dilemma." Andros said, without giving in. "Or do you expect me to take my people out of the city and leave Shadow City and the back to you?"

Messermo clenched his fists. He felt the sharp nails growing out again and scratching his palms.

Before Messermo could make a choice, a black knight came to the city gate and reported:
"Hornman attacks."

"So fast?" Andros frowned. "Advance team?"

"Two divine beasts dancing lions, several divine beast warriors, dozens of horn warriors and curse swordsmen, and countless horn men," the Black Knight reported, "and corrupt followers."

When Messermo heard the report, he was also shocked. The data was exactly the same as what he had heard about the siege of Ensis, and even more.

The main force has arrived?

How could it be possible that it was so fast? Considering the siege and the troops' march, his speed was not slower than Multier's?

Could it be that the enemy bypassed Ensis City and was going straight for Shadow City? Or was it another team, and the Horns still had enough strength to surround the two fortresses.

While Messemo was in doubt, a sound of breaking air was heard, as if a sharp arrow had pierced the sky, directly leaped over the towering walls of Shadow City, and nailed into the vault not far away.

When Messermo saw the object coming towards him, his pupils contracted and vibrated.

It was a straight sword, carved with golden flames.

That sword should have never left Laelana's hand.

Messemo leaped up and down a few times before arriving at the outer wall of Shadow City, looking at the army of Horned People in the distance.

In the center of the large group of Horned People, one could vaguely see a gorgeous platform being carried by the Horned People, with an old woman sitting on it.

Above the old woman's head, a huge guardian spirit gathered. Messermo couldn't see clearly, but he felt that there was a terrifying atmosphere behind the old woman, which was very ominous.

This special atmosphere, even in the lion dance of the mythical beast, Mei Semo had never seen it before. In addition to this old woman, Mei Semo had only seen it in one person.

Messermo was very familiar with that scene, as it was exactly the scene above Wuming's head.

Noticing this resemblance, Messermo's one eye became dazed and his gaze became unfocused.

Then, blood oozes out of the one eye.

Messermo felt that a string in his heart, which was already taut, was being tightened continuously today, and just now, it finally broke.

He rushed down the city wall regardless of everything.

The giant snake that had been suppressed exploded from his body and shot towards the horned army in the distance.

It was like a giant tree falling from the sky, spanning half of the battlefield and exploding into the middle of the Horned People.

Messermo wielded his spear and flames wantonly, and the giant snake behind him also swept across continuously.

In an instant, the Horned Man was covered in blood.

But the Horned Men were equally fearless and the truly powerful warriors, such as the Horned Warriors, quickly came up and engaged in a fierce battle with Messermo.

Entering the enemy camp alone and attacking frantically without any reason made it difficult for Messermo to sustain his power for long.

Soon, he was covered in wounds. Even the big snake behind him was covered in wounds, with many of its bloodshot eyes torn apart.

The divine beast warriors were extremely powerful. They could call the wind and rain, thunder and lightning, and they engulfed Messermo and tore his body apart.

Messermo was still frantically attacking everything around him until the giant snake behind him was picked up by a divine lion dance beast, which bit it tightly, sucked its blood, and then threw him out. The giant snake completely shattered, and he realized that he was on the verge of death.

Messermo felt that the never-extinguished flame in his body was shaken a little.

He had tried to extinguish the flame countless times but failed. Now, the flame was finally going out.

But the flickering flame reminded him of his mission. The fire was the key to the seal. He had to guard the Tower of God and not let the Horned People obtain his god.

And the enemy in front of us is... the Horned Man.

Messermo suddenly came to his senses. He gritted his teeth, cut off the sword from the beast warrior, flew backwards, and ran wildly towards the Shadow City.

I cannot die yet. Even if I die, I must entrust this fire to the golden tree...

"Andros, it doesn't matter if I die." Messermo roared, "Protect the fire, protect the sealed tree!"

Andros stood on the wall with a serious expression, not knowing what he was thinking.

The Flame Knight Kud raised his sword and walked towards the wall.

Seeing Kud's reckless move, several black knights raised their spears and hammers to try to stop Kud.

Kud swung the greatsword, parrying all attacks at the same time, and then rotated the sword, drawing a circle a few inches in front of everyone's eyes.

To force back the black knight, Kud walked up to the top of the wall with his greatsword in hand.

"What are you going to do?" asked Andros.

"Go and welcome my lord back." Kud said, "My master is returning in triumph."

Andros clenched the sledgehammer in his hand, but ultimately did not stop.

Kud jumped off the city wall, holding a big sword, and rushed towards Messermo.

On the way, some horned men tried to stop him, but Kud held Messermo with one hand and held the sword with the other, killing all the enemies and bringing Messermo back to Shadow City.
