Homecoming from Hogwarts
Chapter 1030: Waves Are Coming
The golden morning light, like water waves, swept away the thin clouds covering the tops of the green mountains, and Hogwarts, standing on the cliff and shrouded in clouds, became looming.
Early in the morning, the peace of Hogsmeade station, where only two or three staff members were on duty, was broken by an unscheduled train.
The goblins acted quickly, and within a dozen minutes they unloaded the large wooden boxes sealed with magic from the train and loaded them onto the carriages usually used by young wizards.
The Thestral pulling the carriage raised its head and neighed twice, then pulled the creaking carriage towards Hogwarts.
After a brief chat, Remus, Percy, Penelope and the workers in the workshop boarded the Hogwarts Express for the return trip.
Before arriving at Diagon Alley Station, they had enough time to rest and relax from the intense mental strain of the past two days.
Amosta alone escorted the entire convoy to Hogwarts.
The convoy did not stop at the big iron gate of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but drove directly into the campus and did not stop until it reached the marble steps in front of the castle. Here, Professor McGonagall and Hagrid had been waiting for a long time with the elves in the kitchen.
The sight of more than twenty carriages pulling heavy boxes parked neatly in front of the door was a spectacular sight. At least, Professor McGonagall and Hagrid both looked shocked.
"Oh, Amosta!"
Professor McGonagall hurried down the stairs and came to Amosta, who had jumped down from the roof of the car and was brushing the morning dew off his hair.
"all these are?"
Professor McGonagall stretched out a hand and touched the box with her fingertips. The wrinkles on her face smoothed out a lot.
"Well--"
Amosta stretched himself, with a relaxed expression on his face.
"That's right. Most of the gold I got from the American wizarding world is still in the Gringotts World Bank headquarters in Paris. I haven't withdrawn all of it, but the gold here is probably enough for the school to operate for a year without any problems."
Professor McGonagall blew her nose loudly, looking surprised and touched.
But then, Professor McGonagall crossed her fingers across her chest and showed some uneasiness.
"But this is all your gold, Amosta. I am not sure if this is proper."
"Oh, my own gold, Professor McGonagall"
Amosta gave Professor McGonagall a reassuring smile.
“I don’t know where you get this misunderstanding from.
This gold comes from the profits of the learning machine workshop, and the invention of the learning machine is inseparable from the efforts of the Hogwarts professors.
It uses your 'knowledge', so the gold actually belongs to all professors. Oh, if you don't want to invest it in the operation of the school."
"Oh, what nonsense are you talking about, Amosta."
Magg smiled.
"Of course we would. Ah, but I do have no objection to a slight increase in the professors' salaries."
Three people laughed heartily at the foot of the marble stairs.
All along, the Board of Directors has been like a heavy mountain weighing down Hogwarts. However, for nearly half a century, Albus Dumbledore has been the headmaster of Hogwarts. His huge prestige has restrained the Board of Directors and they dare not interfere too much in Hogwarts' internal affairs.
But from time to time, the board of directors would step up to make its presence felt and hold the school back.
Now, the professors are happy to have this mountain removed from their heads.
"You are capable of anything, Professor Brain."
Hagrid also said in a muffled voice,
"If you allow me to raise a fire dragon someday, then..."
"That's against wizarding law, Hagrid."
Professor McGonagall said sternly.
"It's not impossible, Hagrid—"
Amosta smiled calmly.
"Establish a fire dragon nature reserve in the Forbidden Forest. It will not only serve as a tourist attraction, but also help young wizards broaden their horizons. Of course, now is not the right time to do this."
It was already bright in the sky, and in the castle there were sounds of some early-rising wizards coming down the stairs. Under the command of Amosta, the house-elves began to move.
The house-elves who could Apparate in the school simply disappeared at the door with the boxes.
According to the previous agreement, this batch of gold will be stored in the basement where the professors hid the Philosopher's Stone a few years ago.
Soon, the house-elves had carried away most of the boxes, leaving only one.
Professor McGonagall waved her wand to remove the lock on the box.
Wow!
The moment the box was opened, a lot of gold Galleons piled up inside fell out with a clang. The gold coins as big as hubcaps piled up like a hill scattered a golden glow that made people's blood boil under the morning light!
"Oh my god!"
There was a cry of surprise from the little wizard upstairs in the castle. Professor McGonagall immediately turned around and glared at him, sternly scolding him.
"Don't you have anything to do so early in the morning, Mr. Finch-Fletchley?"
The few little wizards who had poked their heads out quickly retracted them and remained silent, but their eyes were filled with excitement when they met each other.
Amosta smiled slightly. He knew that Professor McGonagall opened the box deliberately to give the young wizards some confidence.
"Hagrid—"
After scaring off a few little wizards, Professor McGonagall looked at Hagrid.
"Please take this box of gold to Hogsmeade. We need to pay the villagers there. As for the rest, I have a shopping list here. The teaching materials required by the professors of various courses must be collected today. I think Mr. Potter and his team have been tossed enough."
"No problem, Professor."
' said Hagrid, pulling his umbrella wand from his pocket and gathering all the gold that had fallen on the grass back into the box. He then closed the box and drove the Thestrals towards the school gate.
"Need a break, Amosta?"
The two of them walked into the hall together, and Professor McGonagall looked at Amosta with concern.
"I know you barely slept all night."
"Thanks for your concern, Professor McGonagall, but I'm afraid I can't--"
Amosta's voice was mixed with emotion.
"I solved a problem, but that doesn't mean I have nothing to do. Now that the funds are in place, I have to prepare intensively for the final match of the Triwizard Tournament. I have to hurry up and give those kids some training."
"Oh, I've decided to let them."
"That's right--"
Amosta smiled briskly,
"The Triwizard Tournament is held every five years, and we don't know when it will be Hogwarts' turn to host it next time. This is a rare opportunity, and I hope more people can get involved."
"It's a great idea, I have no problem with it, just be safe."
Professor McGonagall nodded happily.
In the increasingly dazzling sunlight, the dormant Hogwarts Castle quickly awakens and blooms with vigorous vitality again.
When Harry and the others went down to the hall, they were first surprised by the breakfast which was no different from any other breakfast in the past, and even more so than a banquet.
The rich aroma that filled the auditorium and the huge visual impact of all kinds of food made Ron pounce on the dining table like a hungry wolf, without even having time to ask what was going on.
The sumptuous food also made Harry and Hermione salivate. Without much communication, they quickly joined the 'eating army'.
"More than 20 large boxes, each containing at least 10,000 Galleons, were transported here by Professor Brian in a horse-drawn carriage. There is no doubt about it, Justin saw it with his own eyes!"
A few minutes later, when Patil solemnly told them the news she had heard, Harry was stunned for a moment.
According to this statement, Professor Blaine brought at least 200,000 gold to Hogwarts.
"More than two hundred thousand--more than ten thousand"
This number frightened Ron, who was eating voraciously, and made him stutter.
"What on earth could possibly stump him?"
Harry swallowed the blueberry pudding in his mouth with a gulp, looked at Professor Braine, who was chatting and laughing with Professor Sprout at the faculty table, and said with a hint of emotion.
"That's not the only thing to be surprised about, Harry!"
Then, Harry heard Hermione say this, and he looked over quickly, only to see Hermione's cheeks slightly red, and she was shaking vigorously the latest issue of the Daily Prophet that she had just received from the owl.
"What do you mean, Hermione?"
Harry asked eagerly.
"Professor Blaine has announced that, in view of the various actions of the Board of Directors that violated the contract signed by both parties, Hogwarts has officially separated from the Board of Directors.
Oh, and Professor Brains ruthlessly denounced the Ministry of Magic in the newspapers!"
As she spoke, Hermione looked anxiously at Professor Braine, who was smiling at her in the front of the auditorium.
"Now, the Ministry of Magic will definitely go all out to deal with him."
