Homecoming from Hogwarts

Chapter 1179: Riots Re-emerge

The moment Malfoy lifted his invisibility cloak, Harry knew that today was going to be a difficult day.

Harry stared at Malfoy, observing his slightly trembling wrist, his peripheral vision scanning the surroundings.

After observing for a while, Harry's heart sank.

Borgin's shop was not located on the main road cleared by the Ministry of Magic, but behind a few tents.

The view was blocked by tents in all directions, and no one saw the two people confronting each other on the trail.

Even if someone passed by here, Harry could not be optimistic and expect that the wizards who visited here would be good people.

It seems that I can only rely on myself.

Harry thought, feeling still very heavy.

Malfoy must have guessed that he was trying to find a way to get himself out of trouble, so if he made any extra moves, Malfoy would definitely take decisive action.

Although his previous threats to scare Malfoy with the Ministry of Magic were not fabricated, he knew Malfoy well, and this alone would not scare him.

Harry knew Malfoy wouldn't have the guts to allow himself to get hurt or killed, but he certainly wouldn't mind embarrassing himself in public.

What to do.
Are we going to count on Malfoy to be kind?

As soon as this ridiculous thought flashed through Harry's mind, Malfoy's behavior made him stunned and his eyes widened.

Draco looked deeply at Harry, whose eyes were still strong, and then slowly put down his wand. Under Harry's surprised gaze, he put the wand back into his sleeve.

He dropped Harry's Invisibility Cloak at his feet and said as he backed away slowly.

"If you didn't hear me, Potter, I can say it again. You'd better change your bad habit of meddling in other people's affairs."

Seeing that Malfoy was already ten feet away, and that he had indeed put away his wand, Harry, who had been worried, breathed a sigh of relief.
"That's going to be difficult, Malfoy. I won't be able to sleep until I know what you're going to do -"

Harry said.

"Then, please help yourself--"

A strange light flashed in Draco's light grey eyes.

"But I have to warn you, if I catch you trying to follow me at Hogwarts, I'm afraid you'll be in real trouble, Potter."

Is Malfoy really going to let this go?
Do not!
Harry came back to his senses.

Malfoy didn't feel guilty, he was probably just afraid that if he attacked me, I would report his actions today to the school!

This undoubtedly further proves that what he is planning now is very important to him.

"Wait, Malfoy!"

Harry blurted out to stop Malfoy who was walking away.
"You want to get yourself an alchemical item that can break magical defenses, right?"

Malfoy, who had already reached the entrance of the alley, stopped. He looked at Harry gloomily without saying a word.

"Oh, what a coincidence, I seem to have something in my hand that can meet your requirements-"

Harry observed the changes in Malfoy's expression and said slowly,

"Maybe you can ask me if I'm interested in selling it. At least I'm definitely not like Borgin, doing business by cheating and deceiving people."

Rumble!
The sudden rumbling of thunder made Draco, who was about to give another warning, pause. He reacted in the same way as Harry and subconsciously looked up at the sky.

But the bright blue sky and white sun that came into view immediately made them realize that the muffled sound just now was not thunder, but something else!

"There."

Looking around, Harry quickly locked onto the billowing smoke that was spreading into the sky in the distance, and the panicked shouts of the people that gradually reached his ears made Harry's face turn pale.

"It seems that your father's brothers have no intention of living anymore, right?"

Harry quickly drew his wand and pointed it at Malfoy, his eyes bloodshot.

"Not them, they have no plans to attack us again"

Draco said subconsciously, and then he realized that it was inappropriate to say so, so he immediately shut up. Malfoy, who was also curious about what happened, no longer cared about Potter, and he turned around and rushed towards the rammed earth road again.

"Don't run, Malfoy, explain things to me clearly!"

Harry shouted, picked up the Invisibility Cloak on the ground with his toes, and ran after him.

The thunderous roar stopped after just one sound, and all that was left were people's screams of fear.

He and Malfoy ran towards the 'downtown area' one after the other, but they were forced to stop by panicked people not long after.

On the street, crisp bangs were heard continuously, and wizards who could use the Apparition method used this method to stay away from this dangerous place.

The remaining wizards who did not possess this skill were like a flock of sheep encountering a predator on the grassland. They screamed and shouted, and ran in the opposite direction of the thunder, towards Harry and Malfoy, trying to stay away from danger!

The messy footsteps and the sounds of apparitions made the rammed earth road billow with smoke and dust, just like a sandstorm!

The dark yellow smoke wall and the surging crowd made Draco and Harry's faces change color. The two of them stood together involuntarily and shrank to the side of the road.

Harry saw the old couple he had seen on the drop-off platform before, and the elderly lady praised the newness of Diagon Alley.

"Oh, excuse me, can I ask what's going on over there, ma'am?"

Harry stopped the old couple who were running panting and asked anxiously.

"we do not know!"

The old lady screamed in a shrill voice,

"When that strange noise was heard just now, many people were shouting that the Death Eaters were coming again. We followed the crowd and ran for our lives. Children, I suggest that you leave here quickly as well!"

As she said this, the energetic old lady broke free from Harry's entanglement, supported her husband who was about to faint, and fled!
Harry's eyes twitched, and he grabbed Draco's collar, looking at the blank face, anger gushing in his heart, but before he could ask again -
"Let go of your hands, Potter!"

A shrill voice reached Harry's ears, but it was not Draco's.

A woman rushed over in the chaotic crowd and slapped Harry on the back of his hand, knocking his hand away.

hiss--
Harry didn't expect that Malfoy's mother had such great strength in her frail body. He even felt that his hand bones were damaged.

"Where have you been, Draco!"

From Narcissa's trembling body, it can be seen how frightened she was when Draco disappeared from her sight!
"We'll talk later, Mom!"

But Draco was not afraid of his mother's anger. He spoke quickly.
"What happened over there? I heard someone say it was Death Eaters."

"What happened has nothing to do with you."

Narcissa gasped, she held Draco's shoulders,

"Let's go back, and then you have to explain to me and your father where you went during the time you disappeared!"

Harry rubbed the back of his hand that had been slapped, and could only watch unwillingly as Malfoy and his mother disappeared before his eyes.

The crowd continued to flee towards the wilderness. Harry saw that behind the tents on both sides of the rammed earth road, wizards in standard wizard robes kept rising up on their broomsticks and flew towards the place where the noise came from with grim faces.

What happened must be something big.

The sight of those broomsticks whizzing past made Harry even more certain!

Looking at those distressed faces, Harry knew there was no hope of getting anything out of them.

The last time he recklessly rushed into the battlefield, Hagrid and Sirius's scolding echoed in his mind again.

Harry bit his lower lip, and the next second, he swiftly covered himself with the invisibility cloak, went around to the back of the tent, stepped on the bumpy ruins, and rushed towards the source of the chaos!
Many people fled in a panic, but just as many stayed behind.

Harry soon spotted Ron among the crowd that blocked his view, and to his surprise, Ron was not with Hermione.

At some point, Ron bumped into Lavender. He was holding Lavender's arm, standing on tiptoe, and stretching his head to look forward.

The Invisibility Cloak made Harry ignore the curses of the people he pushed through, and he quickly rushed to the front of the group.

Harry pulled open the invisibility cloak and revealed his true self, which frightened Hermione. However, Harry did not bother to apologize. The scene in front of him shocked him and his face darkened. (End of this chapter)
