Homecoming from Hogwarts
Chapter 1217: Vampire with personality
The sunshine is as warm as early spring, covering this quiet place.
Each member of the exchange group found the dormitory with their name nailed on the door and went to visit the place where they would live today.
Hagrid returned soon.
"He fell asleep—"
Hagrid said happily to Hermione,
"Professor Brain is such a good man. The tree hole he prepared for Grawp was spacious and comfortable. He had a good meal tonight, so he went to bed right away."
Hermione pursed her lips as she watched Grawp eat everything edible on their long table.
"What the hell is going on, Hagrid—"
Hermione asked angrily.
"How did you suddenly have a brother and we never knew about it?!"
"Ah, this matter——"
Hagrid shrank back guiltily.
“It’s a long story.”
Hermione folded her arms and glanced at Hagrid.
"It's okay. I just happen to have time."
Hagrid was just about to speak when the members of the exchange group came back one after another after visiting the dormitory. Seeing this, Hagrid shut his mouth.
Hermione hurried over, her eyes wandering around, she took a deep breath, and smiled at them a little nervously.
"Um, you already know my name is Hermione Granger but I don't know what to call you?"
"I am Luoya--"
The lively-eyed little girl brought by Professor Larhansen looked at Hermione curiously.
"Loya Nellie."
Next, the other young druids also introduced their names to Hermione one by one.
Next came the goblins, whose stern faces made Hermione a little nervous.
"There is no problem with the accommodation--"
A yellow-green goblin named Taiwen leaned towards Hermione and asked respectfully,
"Miss Granger, please tell me when we can get our wands--"
"Oh, the wand—"
Hermione said quickly,
"Yes, that's right. Professor Brian prepared wands for you, but that... well, it's only allowed at the exchange meeting every Sunday afternoon. You know, this matter is very sensitive after all--"
Hermione looked at Taiwen cautiously.
But the goblins showed no displeasure, much to Hermione's relief.
"If you have any requests, please tell me and I will try my best to help you. Within a reasonable range--"
Hermione smiled friendly.
"We go to the Forbidden Forest every night—"
Luo Ya raised her hand.
"Flomid asked us to come to him at night and learn our own knowledge."
"Every night?"
Hermione frowned in embarrassment. She couldn't possibly have the time to go to the Forbidden Forest every night to pick them up and take them back to the castle.
"I'll help you watch these little guys,"
Hagrid stepped forward to help solve the problem.
"I live next to the Forbidden Forest. When you finish studying with Professor Lahansen, Fang and I will take you back to the castle—"
"if you can--"
Little Pony Polly also raised her hand shyly.
"I also need to stay outside the castle for a while at night--"
Facing Hermione's questioning look, the foal began to dig the hole with its hooves again.
"We centaurs are used to observing the movement of stars when the night sky is brightest."
"Oh, no problem."
Hermione happily agreed.
"But I'm afraid I can't leave you outside the castle, Polly. I'll help you find Professor Sinistra and ask her to open the Astronomy Tower to you."
"my words"
The handsome little boy with messy chestnut hair turned pale and acted shy. Hagrid saw him and understood. He smiled and said,
"You are Bernier. I heard from Professor Braine that he asked Remus to find you?"
Bernier lowered his head and said softly,
"Mr. Lupin is my father's friend." Hermione blinked and immediately understood the boy's identity and what he was worried about.
"Oh, don't worry, I know a good place, absolutely safe, that can help you cope with those days-"
“That’s a great place indeed!”
Hagrid smiled knowingly, knowing that Hermione was referring to the safe house that Remus had used when he was at Hogwarts.
"And Grawp?"
Hermione asked kindly.
"Is there anything he needs my help with. Food? I think he has a big appetite?"
"Oh, that doesn't require any special care,"
Hagrid said,
"Grawp is different from you, Hermione. He can last for days on one meal."
Hagrid looked expectantly at the little ones in front of him.
"He is afraid of being alone. When he was in the tribe before, no one paid attention to him because he was too short. So, what he needs most is friends. If you can spend more time talking to him, it would be great."
Hermione opened her mouth but didn't dare to speak. The goblins fell silent and Polly turned her head away in shame.
Giants are such brutal creatures that even wizards would be afraid of them, not to mention wizards.
"We can be his friends—"
Luo Ya raised her hand and said crisply,
"We can calm him down."
"Oh, that's great!"
Hagrid smiled happily.
"As long as he has friends, I believe he will like this place. Professor Brain told me that if Grawp learns to get along with others, he will agree to let Grawp be my assistant!"
"The rest--"
Hermione turned around and saw the girl who was sent into the bunker by Professor Braine coming out.
She changed her clothes into an elegant black ice silk pajamas, and replaced her black leather shoes with cotton slippers.
She yawned and walked towards Hermione.
"I can not sleep."
The girl's straightforward attitude left Hermione unable to respond.
Without Professor Braine present, this little girl whose skin was so delicate that even Hermione could not help but feel jealous looked even more arrogant.
She raised her pointed chin, looking menacing.
“I’m hungry!”
To be honest, Hermione was not angry at the hateful look of a half-grown girl. Instead, she thought she was quite cute.
"hungry?"
Hermione pursed her lips and smiled cordially.
"That's easy to fix, I'll go to the kitchen and help you now"
"Don't bother, Hermione, she can't eat anything in the kitchen--"
Hagrid said with a smile,
"She needs to eat something nutritious, am I right?"
Hermione blinked dazedly.
"More nutritious. Oh, I thought the kitchen at Hogwarts—"
"I only drink dragon's blood!"
The little girl said angrily,
"Newt told me that as long as I came to Hogwarts, Blaine wouldn't let me go hungry, that's why I came from New York!"
Hermione was stunned, and then subconsciously took a step back.
"You're a vampire!"
The little girl glanced at Hermione with a look of disdain for speaking.
"I do have a flock of chickens, if you'd like to have some."
Hagrid said with a smile, and the angry little girl showed her fangs.
Dragon Blood
This really stumped Hermione. She believed that even if Hogwarts was in a very good financial situation now, the kitchen would not use dragon blood as food!
"But Professor Blaine is not at Hogwarts right now."
Hermione bit her lower lip.
"If you don't like chicken blood, maybe you can try bloody lollipops--"
Hagrid came up with another bad idea.
"They're available at Honeydukes in Hogsmeade, but you'll have to wait until at least tomorrow morning, as the school is closed now—"
"Bloody lollipop?"
Hermione was rolling her eyes at Hagrid, but unexpectedly, the little vampire girl showed an interested expression.
"I don't care if Hogwarts is closed, I'm going there now. I know where Hogsmeade is. I saw the village on the way here!"
After saying that, the little vampire girl turned around and walked out the door in her cotton slippers.
